I felt the same way about this song on first listen, but after a few more, it really grew on me. Those 3-part harmonies at the end are terrific - that last one must be well over 10 seconds long all in one breath - impressive for sure!
I consider this song a hidden gem. It's not flashy, it doesn't have deep lyrics, and it doesn't crank. Yet something about it draws me in. I think because it embodies so much of what I love about The Warning. The harmonies, the grooving bass line, the tribal drums, the noisy guitar, Danny letting notes ring while she gestures while singing, the simple clear drum parts. Also it's just chill and relaxing. I actually play this every night while I am turning off the lights and shutting everything off just before I go to bed. It's a great way to wind down the end of the day.
I wouldn’t call it my favorite but I definitely would NEVER skip it. It’s a beautiful, melodic, mid tempo rocker and provides a welcome change of pace.
Yeah I agree with you its not a great song but it is a good song and definately not a skipper but what happens with me is that songs that I dont immediately respond to do have a tendency to grow on me :)
Every Rock band had slower, ballad like songs in their mix, they are no different. Personally, this song is done so well and different, that it ranks way up on my playlist, I love it.
It's a grower. Before you know it, it will stay implanted into your brain and now it's been 3 times in a row before you realize it. It'll grow on you, that groove is almost hypnotic to your soul. It will grow on you. Thanks for the reaction.
I like that you're so honest and don't hesitate to go ahead and give an opinion even early on in a song. For me for some reason this one just got me in terms of the groove and the emotion of it, though now watching you watch it it makes sense your reaction. I love novelty too, and the hard hitters, but I'm a big softie and if I first hear a song when I'm 'in the mood' it'll always just grab me. Music this last year has helped me get through some quite difficult times. I'd get home and just go for an hour or two listening to whatever the winds blew my way, and it really helped. I don't usually listen to music that much. I don't know if it's because I've been a musician a long time or I'm just predisposed to it but I find it hard to listen 'casually', especially to something I've not heard before. There is no point to this comment, just rambling.
This one is more of a Sneak Attack! Might not Hit ya the first time around but if you give it another chance or More, it has a different kinda hook on ya. May not be on Top of my TW playlist, but its still in there nonetheless! Overall, for soo many songs, none that actually turn me Off, so to speak.. Which is very rare, even for the most prolific and most Hall of Fame Bands, etc.!⚡✌️🤟⚠️⚡ Rock On TW Army!⚡✌️🤟⚠️⚡
Its not my favourite either but with any "lesser" The Warning songs there is always some part of it that i love with this one its from the french bit on especialy the vocals at the end.
This song is not a favorite for most people, but I love it. It’s up on my list, funny thing that Disciple seems very popular with most people but it’s not one of my favs. Tastes are weird 🤷🏽♂️. Love the honestly, always!! 🤘🏾
I’m the same minority that DISCIPLE is not one of my favorites. For me it loses way too much momentum in the second half of the song, so it feels disjointed. Still enjoyable, but just my personal taste/critique.
EN BUENA ONDA SI ASTA LAS GRANDES BANDAS ,,TIENEN UNOS TEMAS QUE NI AL CASO Y NO UNA ,GRANDES FRACASOS DE ALBUMS COMPLETOS ,Y SIN EMBARGO SIGUEN ,ASI QUE SOLO DISFRUTEN 😎🤘😜🤣
This is a great song, not the best and something they will prob leave behind in live sets. I saw them tonight in Cardiff and was so pleased that they met my completly stupid high expectations. Pau was not feeling great but she was amazing.
One thing I've noticed about the Warning is that they almost never go for the obvious names for their songs. For example, Choke, which I think most writers would have called Drown (the most repeated word). This song is called Amour (love in French) and that word is only used once in the entire song. It is something very subtle but very effective. They also avoid overly long intros and outros, keeping their songs short and to the point. It's genious because some performers will beat a song to death with intros, extra choruses, long solos, etc. making them boring. There are no long, boring the Warning songs.😊
"What a Voice" "What a special voice you have" Those were the words to Dany in the studio by famous producer David Bendeth.. 💥✌️🎶
This song wasn't one of my favorites, but then it became special and one of my favorites ever. This song makes me feel good

One of my many favorites by the Warning, i specially like Dani singin in French. The language of love as they say.
There are two types of Warning songs. First, the songs you love immediately. Second, the ones that grow on you, and you love it later. 😄

Dany's vocal run at the end is sooo good.

Dany hits the French part in verse 3 and my poor widdle heart just melts into a wee puddle of wuv. hehe hehe hehe
I do like Dany letting the feedback ring. I’ve heard sometimes it does get away from her though. Good song 🤘🏻⚡️

I agree it's taken a while to get there but it's now in my top 5 songs by them.
The ultimate love song!
The Warning...! Je t'adore!
This song has really grown on me. That ending, in this live performance. OMG that ending. Brilliant.

One of my favorites and from what I have read....one of Dany's favorites. Nice reaction.
!!!The Warning = 100% 🔥🎵ole ole ole oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Love this song😎
Sometimes the surprise is the simplicity.
I love the guitar riffs on this. Plus the vocals in the outro were pretty fantastic.
It's the lyrics that go with sound and its amazing, if you never had love you will never understand
Cool reaction. Leaving a comment to help the YT algorithm. 🤘

I think what I really like on this track is the vocals and the lyrics. The other musical elements sort of take a back seat to let that shine.
Beautiful
Man,you HAVE to check out Devin Townsend Project's ""Grace"" official promo video live performance. HEAVY shit! It will change your life, trust me!

I didn’t put a like on this one, but it is what it is!🤷🏼♂️
