Yes, it's the same 3 from 7, YES SEVEN, years ago. They are now 22, 20, and 17 years old. You've missed a lot. They independently released an EP in 2015, an album in 2017, a CONCEPT album (i.e. rock opera) in 2018, and an EP in 2021 which Choke was the first release. You have a lot of catching up to do. I'll let others do the customary history dump for you.
I will say, this was a fun reaction to watch as are most first time reactions to The Warning. But you my friend truly did not see this one coming. As we like to say, you have been Warned.

Drummer pau is the main catalyst for songwriting with all 3 collaborating on writing songs & the instrumentation. All can sing lead, harmony & backing vocals. The Warning are on The Metallica Black List Album that Came out Last Year, They Teamed up with Canadian Pop Singer Alessia Cara and they did a cover of Enter Sandman, well I wouldn't say a cover but a Reimagining of the Enter Sandman it's like a Whole New Song.
The Warning are on Tour Right Now supporting their Mayday EP, then This Summer they are Touring with Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, and Lilith Czar and in November they are Touring Canada with Three Days Grace, Last Month on March 15th they Opened for the Foo Fighters in Mexico City.
Yeah their version of Enter Sandman on the Black List is not a cover. It's a complete deconstruction/reconstruction of what that song is. And while I like their original stuff more that is the perfect way to do a cover of a song that has been covered to death by everyone under the sun already =) Removing the main riff, one of the most iconic riffs of all time, completely and then use it as the break moment instead... *chefs kiss*

So, consider yourself Warned. And yes, as others have said it's the same 3 sisters. It's nice to hear you mention their songwriting, because I feel the fact that they're amazing songwriters sometimes gets lost because they're such fantastic musicians/vocalists. If you really want to have your face melted off, check out their song "Evolve" as it's a banger. And if you want to see one of their new songs were the drummer sings more, "Disciple" is another great song. But you can check out any song of theirs, they honestly don't have any bad songs.
Hahahaha LOVE IT!! Yes, the same three little sisters. Choke is the first single off their new EP "Mayday", and my least favorite, but I love it! Wait until you hear Evolve, Disciple, Animosity, Z, and Martirio from the EP. They recorded 12 songs in the fall of 2020 and released the first 6 as the Mayday EP. Their latest is the first track of the remaining 6 called MONEY, and it is just that! These sisters do not know how to write a bad song, and live they will make your head explode!
They just opened for the Foo Fighters in Mexico City to a crowd of 55,000, just 10 days before the tragic passing of Taylor Hawkins. They are playing major festivals in The US and Canada this summer. They are Touring the US right now, though May. In July they tour with Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless. Then they are opening for 3 Days Grace in the fall through Canada.

It's about time you got warned. They did an updated Enter Sandman (teaming up with Alessia Cara), a reimagining of the song that Metallica included on their Blacklist Album. That would be the logical next song to hit up. Dany (short for Daniela) is the guitarist, Ale (short for Alejandra) is the bassist. And Pau (short for Paulina) is the drummer. Another song from this EP is Evolve. If you like watching Pau, that song is a bit of a showcase for her pounding the skins with maximum finesse. Their latest song is Money. That is a great one, too. BTW, They all contribute to songwriting. Original material. Pau does most of the lyrics.

Love watching first timers getting "Warned". Yup, it's the same three little girls (14, 12, & 9) now grown into women (22, 20, & 17). They are for real rock stars, musicians, and songwriters. Now on Lava/Republic Records. They have put out a lot of music between 2014 and now. All of their music is great, but you should for sure check out everything on their recent EP. I would recommend Evolve next. It will knock your socks off. They are touring North America right now. You should check dates to see if they come near your town/city. They are great live.

It has been a big fat minute and you should be ashamed as a reactor to not see these 3 amazing sisters from Mexico grow and develop into the future of Rock. Especially after reacting to Enter sandman. You have missed out but I hope you will get to speed and catch up.
Since you last reacted, The Warning have released 2 full albums a EP way back and now a new EP Called Mayday from which Choke was taken. Every song on this EP Will excite you just as much as Choke. Try Evolve, Animosity, Z or their current single Money. If you watch the official performance video of Money ,then it is The Warning performing in front of 55 000, opening for the Foo Fighters.
Older songs such as Dust to Dust is definitely a must if you thought the drummer is talented. All will be confirmed with this performance. Also Dull Knives.

I like this track--I'll have to see what else they've got. 1) Great vocals without screaming 2) Good song 3) Skilled musicians. It's tough to do lead vocals AND lead guitar. Geddy Lee didn't do it. Sting didn't do it.

I was amused about your comment about watching Pau around 4:50. And that was before the big fill in the second prechorus. But you should see what they do in their concert videos. No special effects beyond a video board if available, but they don't need that because of their natural energy and presence. And then you should see them in concert which I'm finally going to do in 12 days.
It most certainly is the same three sisters who played Enter Sandman in 2014. And while I don't like to recommend covers, since their original music is so good, I will suggest their 2021 version of Enter Sandman, which they did (with Alessia Cara) for the Metallica Blacklist Album. But I would not call it a cover. And they do Metallica the honor of playing it live; I doubt that many of the others who participated in the Blacklist Album put their versions in their set list.

Fabulous reaction to The Warning !
The Villarreal sisters are amazing songwriters and performers. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "Queen of the Murder Scene", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight for her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI Century Blood", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "Escape the Mind"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called Mayday. "Disciple" is my favorite track.
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English speaking school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. A year or so later, they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history.
Amazing they are 22, 20 and 17 years old and have already written and arranged #44 original songs all by themselves! The oldest, Dany (Daniela) plays guitar, keyboards, lead vocals on 75% of their songs, backing harmonies. Pau (Paulina) plays drums, keyboards, lead vocals on 25% of their songs, backing harmonies. Ale` (Alejandra) plays bass, keyboards, backing harmonies.
The drummer Pau begins writing around 75% of their songs. In her songs, she starts with a concept, then works on chord progressions and basic song structure on piano while adding lyrics. She then brings it before her sisters and together they transpose each individual instrument's part; making changes along the way. They also complete the lyrics together; since Pau may only bring one verse and a chorus. All 3 must unanimously approve of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Nothing is set in stone until it makes it through the gauntlet. Pau has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both Dany and Ale` write equally great songs; just not as many.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. I hope you get to see them LIVE soon.

I saw them in Phoenix on May 27th at the Rebel Lounge (formally the Mason Jar). They were freaking outstandingly fantastic. The opening act was Devora. She was awesome.
