      @@ConnerNielsen6 Greatest American film of the century so far if you ask me. Unreal film.

      Thanks Jeff! Glad you enjoyed the conversation. I was worried it would be too boring 😅

    DJ, I'd love to see your reviews. I may not read everyone's but I do read the reviews of the people on my list (and you two are on mine).
    Dragon Wars is such an amazing movie!!! Ok, amazingly bad but it has incredible entertainment value.
    I loved the Letterbox stats. My map was pretty filled as I had a 52 movies from 52 countries goal for 2022. Tubi had a few good ones that I had scoped from the 2010s best foreign film nominees.

    Cool video. Lots of interesting information. Fittingly enough, I saw 22 films that came out in 2022. (I didn't plan on that. Just a lucky coincidence.)

      Thanks! Nice job, man. That's 10 more than I saw

    This was a pretty cool video; really loved the discussion here (also digging the beard, Conner).
    In terms of how many I saw, uhhhhhhh short answer: too many lol. I don't have stats (don't have a patron funny enough), but did see my wrapped and the most watched actor was Willem Dafoe and most watched director is Steven Spielberg (makes sense cause I rewatched several of his films in preparation of The Fabelmans plus he is my king).
    For top 10 favorites of 2022, my picks were:
    1. Everything Everywhere All At Once
    2. The Fabelmans
    3. Moonage Daydream
    4. RRR
    5. Top Gun: Maverick
    6. The Batman
    7. Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio
    8. The Banshees of Inisherin
    9. Decision to Leave
    10. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
    For favorite first time watches:
    In The Mood For Love
    Dog Day Afternoon
    Ikiru
    What's Up, Doc?
    Paris Is Burning
    The Return of the Living Dead
    Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans
    Nashville (1976)
    Let The Right One In
    Living in Oblivion
    Double Indemnity
    Unforgiven
    Memories of Murder
    All That Jazz
    Make Way For Tomorrow

      Some very exciting first time watches! I too watched In the Mood for Love this year, and is already a favorite. Sunrise and Nashville are also recent first watches.

      Really cool to see those classics you checked out for the first time. Lots of good titles!

    17:30 Queue Orson Welles: AAAAAAHHHH!! The French!

    The insightful movie sage friend and Orson Welles completionist Conner is back! But, I think you took this trivia round for me, DJ, with that Walt Disney voicing Mickey tidbit. Oh boy!
    Now for the serious question: after rewatching it 3 times, is Willy Wonka a horror movie? And if so, did it surpass Psycho as the greatest horror movie?
    Glad to hear you still got in Christmas movies. Is It's a Wonderful Life still on top?
    Thanks again! Hope you and your families are having a really good week! Top 10 first watches sounds great!

    • @FilmsByColor
      @FilmsByColor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      haha, no I don't consider Willy Wonka a horror movie. And yes, It's a Wonderful Life is still at the top, but I added a few more to the top 20 like: The Lion in Winter, Remember the Night, Mon Oncle Antoine, Grand Illusion, and the Bishop's Wife.

    D.J., I’ve wanted to upgrade my camera to a Canon 90D for a long time, what kind of camera do you use? Your videos look great. Also, I consider all of Wes Anderson’s films to be off-beat comedies.

      @@FilmsByColor that’s interesting, because I have one of those as well. It doesn’t look as good as yours though. Do you attach it to your Laptop/MacBook and use expensive software to make it look better?

    • @FilmsByColor
      @FilmsByColor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@excelsiormoviereviews Yes, I just attach it to my macbook. I don't use any software to treat the footage though. It might just be my lighting that makes it look different. Not sure

      @@FilmsByColor what editing software are you using? I used to think that my editing software (VN -Video Editor) was my problem, but when I film in my car with natural light it looks fairly good. My camera doesn’t look good in low light.

    Really like seeing everyone's stats. Just posted mine
    @anillegibletombstone
    Also, don't feel so bad about the watchlist. I watched 110 but added 865. Plus I have Asian movies on a separate watchlist as well as each streaming service.
