This is very cool! One suggestion for when you make a base that will be sat upon: If you take some vertical strips of cardboard you can put them inside the middle as extra center support so it won't collapse. I know the top cardboard will stiffen the very top, but the sides might crunch down over time without additional support inside. You can also take popsicle sticks and cut them to size and tape them along the perimeter of the side edges of the cardboard base to add reinforcement to the structure- and do the same on center pieces. It's more work and materials, but it could be worth it in the long run.
Using the cups from dollar tree for legs is a very cool idea. I wouldn't have thought of that.

Thank you so much! 🥰 Yea putting support on the inside of the base is a great idea. I thought about that after I had already done it lol. But it’s held up really good my dog is really tiny so he hasn’t made it crunch down which is good.
@@lizdiys3445 Your dog is very lucky to have a cool pet parent who makes things for him & takes such good care of him. He's such a cute little doggy! My dogs are fat so they would break something made out of cardboard in a heartbeat. My 15 cats wouldn't help with that either. I wish plywood wasn't so expensive now because mine would need something sturdier. The cups would need some sort of filler for mine (to reinforce them). I'm considering doing something like this for my dogs- I have some old couch leather lying around somewhere down at the workshop- need to dye it first though. The way you did the tufting was very neat as well. Thanks for sharing this!
