Many think that Avril already lost her popularity/ fame because people expected her to do the same things she was known for- pop rock, pop punk, etc. in the past. But actually, the way I see it, she got popular because she was being true to her music, feelings, and self. She doesn’t have to follow the trends to please people, not even seeking attention for any kind of publicity get famous. Not only FAME define a great artist, it’s about loving your craft and being true to your music, that’s who Avril is. And only true fans understand her for that.

i remember how much i loved her. i use to dress like her with ripped jeans, white top and a black tie over it. I had her two albums released back them and listened to it till it couldn’t play no more. I had her posters on my bedroom’s walls and knew all the lyrics. I also use to fall asleep listening to her music and also when i was feeling stressed or down. i loved the stories in the lyrics and I was bullied in school I felt like I could be myself by being a bit more punk and edgy with my clothes. Funny how now i work in a suit and tie in a very formal job but the 13yo me and the 30yo me still loves her. Her songs brings me GREAT teen vibes and memories.
