I’m interested in the back story on this now. My little sister, 8 years younger was heavy into Avril in 2003. She was about 15. I was actually into Deftones, Chimaira, Lamb of God and Hatebreed etc.. Random side note: this song unexpectedly choked me up one time, reminding me of my sister. Anyway, as the years passed and I evolved musically this song has always kind of sounded fresh and different after long periods of not hearing it.. The mix is really detailed and combines different variations of energy in different parts of the stereo field and is actually really unique. I’m interested in the back story on this now. My little sister, 8 years younger was heavy into Avril in 2003. She was about 15. I was actually into Deftones, Chimaira, Lamb of God and Hatebreed etc.. Random side note: this song unexpectedly choked me up one time, reminding me of my sister.
Anyway, as the years passed and I evolved musically this song has always kind of sounded fresh and different after long periods of not hearing it.. The mix is really detailed and combines different variations of energy in different parts of the stereo field and is actually really unique. I am an audio student now.. does anyone know the back story? Did her and her band start locally in Canada? How was she picked up? Who mixed/produced this?
