Love this video especially the garlic peeling chat. You are such a peaceful and joyful speaker and that is so endearing! I watched all and didn’t see how much time passed because you are so soothing!
For my garlic, I didn’t peel mine before planting (just separate the bulb like you) and it seemed to be ok and about 1/4 of my garlic this year had bruising too. I still planted it and said “good luck” to them. 😂 I read that you can leave garlic in the ground for years and they’ll just get bigger and bigger every year! Not sure if that’s true, but maybe!
Love the idea of using an area (planters) of your garden that you don’t need to rotate often for the garlic, so you can be wise with other space where you can direct sow or use vertical space better. I have some of those planters and I saw a hack that I love to save soil/compost- instead of filling the whole planter tray with soil, place a 4 inch pot in the center of the planter (where no sun will reach anyhow), fill the sides for the plants around the center and leave the middle pot empty to save soil! I saved so much soil blend by doing that which saved me time from wheelbarrowing and money! Woo!

Hey Kristy, I have to agree with you about the garlic not getting a chance to grow if you don’t plant it! The same goes for seeds that I have that are a bit old or seeds I have saved! I have grown garlic for the last 2 years the first time was just some bulk garlic from a grocery store, what I harvested was pretty little but I didn’t know that garlic needs lots of nutrients so frequent fertilizer is important! Last year I went to a garlic festival and was able to get some Elephant garlic which developed huge bulbs! The German Red garlic didn’t develop as well so still lots to learn! I think you are doing a great job utilizing what you have! Being a good steward of what the Lord provides always brings blessings! 💖💖💖

I plant garlic every year its also good 4 rodent control around gardens and or coops
My chickens love garden season end knowing the get all the leftovers and any tomatoes with worm holes now I hate season end even though put a fall garden in this year its doing better then the spring garden did

I’m looking into ducks right now.. may I ask why y’all love the ducks more than chickens? Are they more friendly? Our chickens aren’t as sweet as I thought lol
