TRAP KILLA the problem my friend is that the majority of the Albanians are extremely attached to the old traditions and have this stupid pride over their flag and their land as if this land has ever offered them anything apart from poverty and immigration....i really don't get this mentality.I mean it is normal to love your homeland but the most albanians i know do this in a fanatic and nationalistic way, hating their neighbours

Journey man , as an Albanian that objected to the core your previous video about Albania , let me say that this is a spot ON video . Congratulations because by exposing this archaic social phenomenon still present in some northern isolate rural areas , more people will be conscious about it . It takes time to change a habit of 500 years old , and the state should invest itself much more in the fight against it .

Blood-fueds exist in every country of the world. This law was introduced and was functional when the government could not protect the people of Albania over 500 years ago. Without this law Albania would of been an anarchy. The law is simple and very clear to those who have any common sense. If you kill me, you will die. If you rape me you will die. In a modern society it may sound harsh but when there is no police to protect you this actually works. Just like a jail system, you do the crime, you pay the time. Do a little research before you judge the Albanian people and point fingers.

Why does the Kanun exist in this modern world? Because it is a law book, just like the Christian law book, the Bible. What is the difference? Well most of the world got converted either to Christianity or Islam, because before that they didnt really have any religion. This was different in Pelasgian lands of Illyria. Because the ancient civilization in this land had a very strong Pagan religion which could not be overthrown by the new religions. it is as simple as that. the Kanun is a pagan law book that could not be changed by the Christian or Islamic morality.

Can't the ancient law receive an update ? For example if these who are to be killed do something very strong in excuse to the other family - to be forgiven. Cause even the most glorious soldiers sometime spare an enemy who was to be killed - if he begged for pity, corrected other misdeeds, was screwed enough, etc - Especially to families who actually haven't done it. Murder must not be the aim, but a one corrected situation.

***** Claudius Ptolemy, the ancient Greek geographer: "Eastern of Epidamnus, there lies a city named Albanopolis. This city is inhabited by an Illyrian tribe called Albani. Local people refer to this area and areas around as Arberi." (13,23)
Polybius from Megalopolis, the ancient Greek historian in his work mentions a city named Arbon: "The people who lived there were called Arbanios and Arbanitai."
Stephanus of Byzantium a geographical dictionary in his work "Ethnika" mentions a population called Abroi from Adria Taulantii and an Illyrian city named Arbon. The people of that region were known as Arbonios and Arbonites.
The name 'Arber' is still used today and it is a very respected patriotic name for Albanians, it was the name we used before Georg Kastriot founded Shqiptar(Eagles) movement.
It would also be interesting to see what the most valid encyclopedia "Papyrus Larus Britannica" has to say about this issue:
"In 395 AD the empire was finally divided, and Illyria east of the Drinus River became part of the Eastern Empire. Between the 3rd and the 5th century it was devestated by the Goths and Huns who left no lasting mark on Illyria. But the Slavs, who started their incursions into the Balkan Peninsula in the 6th century, had by the end of 7th century transformed the ethnic structure of all the Illyrian-speaking territories. Croatia, Serbia, Dalmatia, Bosnia, Montenegro and parts of Macedonia lost their Illyrian language and were thoroughly Slavonized, so that only Albanians remain as direct descendants of the ancient Illyrians."
      Papyrus Larus Britannica.

***** Dude, we Albanians never use the name Albanian, this is only applied to us by others. And about the Plisos, the white round hat, this hat was used by the Spartans, but we Albanians never knew this until this days, and my grandfather isn't educated about the Spartans. We use Shqiptar, Arberore, Arberesh as name. We never use Albanian. But the Romans use this name for us and it applies to the white mountais in Albania. Also the Scottish called themselves Albania, does that mean we are now Scottish and Azerbajanis, what more? And it doesn't matter, if you got little bit logic in your head you should understand that WE don't use Albanian as name, if the paradox didn't exist this name would neither exist to us. Albanian is applied in latin for the people who live around this area of the white muntains. And Albania in Azerbajan was Roman name for the area because it probably had white mountains in the area.
You serbs have come here and taken our land, you came from Russia, you was called slaves. And your language is known to be Indo-Iranian language. Albanian is indo-European language, this is what I learned in school where I live in Norway.
And the Black eagle flag was used by Georg Kastriot to fight the occupation of Ottoman empire. Its was Georg Kastriot who started Shqiptar, Shqiptar was a political movement amongst the Albanians to resist the occupation of the Ottoman. And it means the eagles. And this flag Georg Kastriot took from Byzantine, the black 2 headed eagle was used as a war flag by the Byzantines. And Albania was in Byzantine empire almost always. And you lie about that the tribes of Azerbaijanis used black eagle in their flag, they used white eagle.
And you totally ignored the ancient writings that I showed you. Here take a look again. This is written in ancient time before there existed any slavs in Balkan.
Claudius Ptolemy, the ancient Greek geographer: "Eastern of Epidamnus, there lies a city named Albanopolis.
The name 'Arber' is still used today and it is a very respected patriotic name for Albanians. And it was the name we used before Scanderbeg founded Shqiptar(Eagles) movement.
Is it English that you don't understand? Even in these ancient texts it explains to you that the local people don't use the name Albani but Arberi. Handicapped aren't you?

    • @purexqx
      @purexqx 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

***** But you in your Slavic language don't refer to yourself using the name Slav, but this name Slav is used by foreigners and you have got your own name referring to yourselves. That's why you cannot make a latin word that means slave and translate it into your own language, when these latins who referred to the slavs in their own language didn't even know slavic. There is no link. And bringing up this shows how limited your brain is to think.
Yes Alba means white in latin, and it is latins who refer to us as Albanians. We referred to ourself as Arber, and later when Ottomans came, Georg Kastriot started a military-politic movement called "The Eagles"- "Shqipet" and when you refere to each individual you say this "Shqiptar" did ....... "Shqiponje" is referred to the "Eagle". When Georg Kastriot came, many Arbers joined his anti-ottoman movement and after his success to win every battle against this ottoman superpower while the serbs lost every battle, it was very honorable to regard yourself as "Shqipe". So do you now understand with your incapable brain that Shqiptar is a new name for Albanians which started in 15th century. And the name Arber is holy for Albanians, it unites all the Albanians, in Italy there are communities there who don't regards themselves as Shqiptar, but only as Arbereshe, and in Greece the Arvanites who was the reason for Greece's independence they call themselves Arberore, and they talk same as Albanians. And Greeks claim these are the ancient Greeks and have no link to Albanians. These Arvanites are Orthodox.
What do you mean that I say all ancient texts spoke about us? I only showed you a few referring to the Albanoi in the location of Albania, and it even goes as far to say local people refer to themselves as Arber. If this is not us, then who is it then?

For those of you who are wandering. The Canun or Cannon, is very old law book. It became codified and written down officially in Medieval times by the Prince Lek Alexander Dukagjini, who was a great warrior and ally of Skanderbeg. It is in fact the remnant of the Ancient Pagan Illyrian Religion. After all what is a Religion but a code of Laws? Gjergj Fishta the Albanian thinker once said, that Albania has 4 official religions, but none of them have been able to conquer the heart of this Pagan people. The Canun is the real religion of Albanians and not muslim. The reasons for this is that the Albanian people are very old Civilization, and the Pagan religion has existed in these lands for thousands of years and was well established, in contrast to other newer people such as slavs who converted to orthodox quite quickly, because they did not really have a strong autochthonous civilization.
The Albanian language is the Olderst language known to history, and I believe Albanian people should be given the status of First Nations of Europe and given rights and privileges, and protected from the evil slavs and greeks.

Elise VD i can tell u some quick info BASE ones If someone kill a memeber of ur Family u have ur right to kill back its like BLOOD 4 BLOOD but if they did a mistake and they dont want to be killed they have their right to stay home otherwise if they get outside they might get killed with less words u cant go to their house and kill also is a rule u cant touch girls. Girls are free to go work shoping etc only boys have to stay home if they want to be alive Kanun says Give respect to get it back
EDIT: When i said u have ur right to kill back that doesnt mean u cant go to jail i mean KANUN gives ur right to kill back in honor to get the blood back but ofc u will go to jail for what u done
