My 3 month old daughter enjoys your covers, especially this one. I do not know why, but your videos calm her down and I am grateful for that. Also, you deserve more subscribers, this channel is awesome.
That clank! Man what a tone...unfortunately most of the time in Meshuggah's music the bass gets buried a bit in the mix because it's both in unison with the guitars 80% of the time, and has a very similar tone to them...here the bass just stands out so well, it's amazing to listen to! Makes the song ten times heavier without changing the tuning 🔥
@@Paajanenae I have a P bass too, Harley Benton made, nothing can beat that sound. And it's crazy how cheap it's cost was! I think I fell on a really good one because a few people already told me that it feels and sounds better then some Fender basses they played. Got a few covers on my channel if you wanna check out btw!
The bassist and drummer are so tight absolute class. That’s perfect bass and bass drum unison. It’s the notes the bass doesn’t play that makes this rhythm section ungodly amazing
If the venue is good and the sound engineering was done correctly, live it sounds really chunky like this. I have yet to witness this but I have checked on youtube some live acts the bass sounds juicy as balls. When they came to Portugal the sound was not great, venue's fault too :( Check this example in Tilburg th-cam.com/video/2_E2uzeY76w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mQD_x0SwVobaTJwX&t=186
Wow wow wow. As a long time bassist I am blown away by your beautiful bass work brother. Really has made me want to pick up and play just inspiring. Beautiful tone beautiful clean powerful cmy friend. Thank you I have really bad cptsd and many issues. Bass I had associated with my traumas but you have made me see the pure joy and power. Tak
Thank you! There's still one cover coming for Mayshuggah, but it will be my last in a while. Man's gotta rest 😂 But do tune in later today! It's going to be a blast 👊
@@Paajanenae i don't have the damn brains or the attention span to learn their beautiful dissonant cacophonic arrays... But i try in my own small demented way
Thanks bud! DR Strings Lo-Rider 40-100, tuning is half step up from standard and the scale is standard 34" 😄 I'm using the Precision Bass pickup only and it goes straight into the interface. I've got the Parallax preset available for download in the description!
incredible cover! what kind of string gauge are you using for the F string for these Meshuggah covers? on my P bass using a regular 105, that bend on the first fret during the verse is borderline impossible without using excessive amounts of force lol
I discovered this song literally today and I still don't believing in what I just listened to I would play this on my bass but i don't know if i can tune this low without my string fell lol
@@Paajanenae this band is amazing! I'm going to listen to the entire discography this week, I can't replicate the tone but playing is what matter, isn't? lol Thanks for the video dude, I will subscribe to your channel too

@@joaomatos1597 I was talking about their sound on the album, live is of course a different thing
It can be hard to find awesome and fun metal songs to play on a four string sometimes but this made me so happy thank you! Plus sounds amazing
Yeah it can be a chore! Luckily there's like 5 full albums of Meshuggah in F to go through!
Certified insane - so good to hear this with bass at the front of the mix!
Thanks! More is more, as they say 😎

E-X-T-R-E-M-E!
Nervextreme? 👀
His reaching his hand to the strings as these sound effects play made me wonder for a second if he broke a string at the start.
Hahah, not this time! 😂 I do have a habit of breaking strings though 😅
You killed this.
The Demiurge is dead and Paajanenae killed it
Goosebumbs again
God damn I love this song and Meshuggah
Saw your obzen video. Sure enough you covered Demiurge too 🔥🔥🔥so sick
Hell yeah man.
Hell yeah, brother!
Easily their most headbangable song. Which also turns out to be the easiest to headbang to!
Haha yeah, this song just takes you with it!
What about I like Juice? FINISH YOUR JUICE. FILTERED VITAMIN SUNSTANCE

I haven't encountered a mushuggah song I couldn't easily head bang too??
Literally crushed it! Stellar playing as always. Any chance of sharing the parallax preset? Would go awesome with my Spector PJ. Keep it up!

Hi. What strings (brand/gauge/type) are you using? Also, what is tuning? Thanks!
DR Strings Lo-Rider 40-100 in F Standard! Thank you

MÄSÄHTI ETTÄ JYSÄHTI
ARVAA JYSÄHTI
What do you tune to?
F standard!
So. Only thing I can come up with is you’re tuning the low E up a 1/2 step?
Yup, that's how Meshuggah does it!
What tuning did you use?
F-Standard, aka half-step up :)
Tee joskus jostain Nicole bändin biisistä coveri 👍 Ei toki ole tunnetuimmasta päästä mut upeita rytmityksiä kuten Meshuggahilla

What tuning do you use to be able to use a 4 stringer for messhuggah?
F standard, aka half-step up :)
Tunning ?
Should be F-Standard!
UIJJJJJUMA 😗😗😗😗😗😗😗😗
Whats the tuning?
Quick question, I downloaded the presets but they come through as .xml files and not WAV files, am I missing something?
They're .xml files because they're presets for the Neural DSP Parallax, not IRs
Thanks bud. I just noticed that doing some research haha@@Paajanenae
sorry me again twelve foot nija also Vanguard. good bass. Bass player leeft actually they using no bass player????!!!!!!
Love me some Twelve Foot Ninja! I wasn't too fond of the new album, but the first and second albums are fire!
How in the hell did you get that low on a 4 string
This is actually tuned up half a step like most Meshuggah songs on bass are 😄
Curious why this is on a 4 string?
Because it's played on a 4 string
are you a 2:27 kinda guy or, a 3:34 kinda guy lol 🤣
The first!
It's so weird hearing a bass tuned up
Oh yeah :D
Demiurge is easily their heaviest song
Fender? I didn’t even pass the 20 second mark….
No, this is an older Aria Pro II XRB-2 with a spare neck installed later on :)
tuning drop bass please
