As a 39 year old man, the original Phantom is one of my all-time favorites. Seductive and gourmand. I hope I love the new Parfum is even better for me, because I've already burned through my first 100ml bottle. And I'm a collector with 50+ fragrances on constant rotation. I just ceep coming back to it every time I want something gourmand. My eks couldn't get enough of it either.
I bought it because of the cool looking Robot style bottle it just sits nicely with my collection and he knows lady's and gentlemen how to do the Robot especially when I spray it on myself,sweet,intense and worth every penny.
Yeah I never understood why Phantom EDT got so much hate I bought mine when it first came out and I can't tell you how many compliments even though I didn't get the fragrance for compliments,but just noting that I've gotten quite a few compliments with the original.

I was reluctant to try it since it was in a corny looking bottle, but the scent was a very nice middle ground between the two categories of scents I was generally looking for. I didnt want to like it and only found the name because I had to google “cologne in robot bottle” lol. I’m no fragrance enthusiast, but I think it’s one of the best I’ve tried. I’m very curious to try the Parfum version.
I loved the original, lasted ages, had lots of compliments.. was going to get another, but then seen the new Parfum one which people say is better on every way.. so may get that instead

Paco Rabanne isn’t necessarily my favourite house, but I do like that their house has a DNA to it, not just individual fragrances. I just know when someone is wearing something by Paco Rabanne, even if I can't nail down the specific fragrance

I heard you talking about Drakkar Noir the other day and how iconic and influential it was. That was interesting. I’d like to hear your take on 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s etc. eg. for 80’s I’d do things like Kouros, Jazz and Cacharelle. The 90’s Eternity, Fahrenheit CK One etc. Anyway just something I’d like to hear your take on and how things have evolved. Was there notes the were more prominent during each period.

Went to house of Fraser today and couldn't believe how much tester bottles they had they've got a tester bottle for almost every designer lol spent about an hour in their smelling almost everything the only 2 that stuck out to me was PR phantom I smelt a unbelievably pleasant rhubarb note that was so different to everything else I was getting my nose on then I tried the black perfume one next to it which to me smelt like the toned down version 👎🏽 iv got some quality fragrances in my collection like TF Tuscan leather/ pdm Herod/ pdm Pegasus/ TF tobacco vanille/ pdm kalan ect think phantoms a little banger imo the only other fragrance that stuck out was definitely Carolina Herrera bad boy edp in the pure black lightning bottle not the one with any gold on the bottom. It's the one that's pure black. Yo this smells expensive it reminded me of Tuscan leather as to me it was mad dark and rich definitely gonna get a bottle

so I'm getting ready for wintertime, so I have bought the spice bomb infrared edt. I love the scent but think it's very powerful. how many sprays would be appropriate for school?
I got the Parfum as soon as it released I was shopping for a gift for my uncle and spotted the bottle. I own both phantoms. I will say that the openings are very different. In the dry down the orginal is more earthy and smokey and the vanilla. In the black phantom the dry down is much sweeter but the lemon still hangs around. The weird thing is most of the paco lines have lavender and I hate lavender but I own (1 million, both phantoms, invictus platinum),. So not sure why the lavender doesn't bother me usually it gives me a headache so big thumbs up. In the end I agree if I had to choose one go with the Black Parfum. Is pachuli what makes it smell like smoke?

Sadly I know a retail company that has a drawer full of 1 m prive testers and can't sell them ,im trying to figure out how to buy them but they don't have bar codes and not allowed to sell testers.

Smelled it yesterday and I wasn't necessarily wowed or anything. Not bad but not something I'd buy at full retail.
