List Update: I swapped a Gideon Hask and an Avenger between the mainboard and sideboard I didn't know how swudb worked, so heres a decklist image for those of you who find them helpful: swudb.com/Deck/GetDeckImage/KHmIzLkkkML Also worth noting: swinging with Wolffe turns off your healing. this shouldnt matter since you trade with him so early, but there are circumstances where you can sequence "defeat a unit, heal, swing with wolffe" to navigate the drawback to your leader
The strongest Iden control lists are using the 30hp aggression base with around 25 hard removal events and "vigilance" mill 6 for the fatigue wincon but its cool seeing a more midrange/control list.
I have a question while testing this deck against Luke/Yoda Ex: Yoda is the only unit on board I play emperor palpatine and deal 6 damage divided amongst units. So I put 4 on yoda, removing him from battle leaving me with 2 damage counters to use. Yoda ability brings in the top card from draw deck into play. Would my extra two damage be applied there? Or is it expired before that unit from Yodas ability hits the board?
to my understanding, the 4 damage you deal to yoda is palpatines ability resolving. the death trigger happens after, so you cant deal damage to whatever unit they play
What tends to be your finishers? It seems like the threats stop with Palpatine/Dooku Their abilities ROCK but they arent really that BIG. What matchups did you have? I like this list and wanna try it, but it feels like it sputters a bit for closing? What has been your feel since you have had success? I feel like maybe 1 ofs for the big heavy space units would be good main.
I feel similar, something like Vader control has better late game power due to the flip, or green Sabine with unit Vader. Difference imo is your board control is way stronger so you can chip damage with any leftover units. Also so many shielded units or etb deal damage units means you still have pressure on their life total. Into slower matchups avenger fixes the late game threat problem Matchups have covered all bases (boba, aggro, blue midrange, green black control), although I haven’t gotten to play against a green Sabine yet
great video! Have you considered the seventh sister to replace the 5 unit that u dont like? With 6 toughness she evades takedown/force choke/can take a hit from a lot of 5/5s that we have in the card pool.. she does have a weaker attack, but with saboteur and a nice attack ability I think can be a good flex option, it helps to clean small units but it also helps racing at the same time..
I did just this thing, and it seemed to work out really well. It allowed me to keep pressure on their base even when they had a sentinel out, while also hurting their units without taking damage in return. Really annoying against aggro decks with lots of 1-3 drops, and effective against a controller with lots of sentinel or shielded units.
Love the deck, ive been swapping back and forth with red and green, hard to pass up unit vader. I will say wolffe seems bad but i see your point about 3 attack. I have enjoyed fifth brother in the list

Good video my guy. I hope to see some more swu. I love hearing your thought process at the end.

Do you have a list anywhere
