Love this guys passion for vintage cars and watches. It really comes across. It’s great to see a collector who is happy to enjoy his cars and watches, celebrating the dents, the natural wear and tear, and the rich story behind them 👍

The way George conduct himself you can see he would’ve made something of himself anyway so doesn’t make a great deal of difference that he was born into money.

I mean good for him but also, it's easy to say "I don't care what it is worth" when you have that much money lol
I enjoy George. His podcast has gotten me into the world of strange and out there watch designs. Not sure I'll buy one of his watches, but he certainly has created a successful business. Also can't hate on a guy for being born wealthy. Enjoyed this video

It is like the 1967 scratched 321 on my wrist, I wear it because it is an intense memory enhancer, igniting the most cherished or feared memories of my 1960s childhood, it will for one brief shining moment bring tears to the eyes, speed up your heartbeat, remembering sacred moments, tragedy and joy, and loved ones, what is the dearest to you very deep inside. A 2022 piece, even worth 1 million, cannot do that. This is why I cherish 1960s sports iconic pieces.
I like George's attitude towards his collections, he almost never mentioned $$$ in whatever he's trying to say. All about his love and the awesomeness, his custom watch work are my taste too.

Outstanding video. Bamford has excellent insights and a wonderfully creative approach to adding his own interpretations to already great watch designs -- a far from easy task. Also, the quartzes in his collection were especially interesting. Thank you for posting this.

I think this man's passion is great. Yes, he's from an extremely wealthy dynasty, but he's making the very best out of the immensely fortunate circumstance he was born into. He could have easily went the other way. What he's doing is really creative, and very cool. As a car and watch lover I think what he's doing is awesome. George, if you happen to read this comment, don't mind the bollocks written below, and rock on old chap!
he really isn't making the best of it, he just spent a vast fortune on pretty toys, and makes more pretty toys for other rich people, any fool can do that.

Well in fairness, modern Rolexes look pretty awful (like Chinese copies), and he fixes up the disaster that is Daytona.
I also prefer 4- and 5-digit models but sorry, bamford makes it even worse.

Are Bamford co-branded luxury watches going to be The Collectable thing in the future? Too easy to criticise George for inherited wealth, he certainly has passion and is employing people to create unique desirable goods. Far more interesting a film than I initially thought it would be. Tudor would be a good brand to get the Bamford treatment perhaps?(!).

14:35 why would it be hard to build those cases today? They also shared the same movement. So bamford is run by a watch newbie? Also why would he assemble a mgb engine when he's a Ferrari enthusiast. MGB are really easy engine to build great fun for newbies. Awesome car collection though!

5 years ago i had a blue project7 and one of the biggest regrets on cars was selling him :(
I think the value thing is more to do with the fact he loves his cars and will drive them and use them as he should, not keep them as museum pieces

He doesn’t need the money that a collector normally needs to extract from an investment. He’s literally rich enough not to care. Nothing brave there.
