"My sink is full of dishes because this is real life" needs to be on a t-shirt, sister! So true!
A new tee-shirt for the site!!! Perfect!
It always taste better when you grow it yourself 😊
First - LOVE the content of this video, but if it'd be easier filming-wise, I'd be just as happy as a viewer from a stationary spot on the counter while you chatted and did the food prep nearby! There's something comforting about being invited to hang out in your kitchen while you make real life meals and whatever is easier for you is the most important part 💚 Second - that specific Walmart bread is my kryptonite 🤤
I like this kind of video. Actually, I like all of your videos and I love living vicariously through you guys. I feel like there is so much more to your knowledge and can’t wait to learn more from you.
Mickayla, wishing you two all the best in your TH-cam journey. Your meal looks fantastic. Wow, that's so special to make the homemade pasta. The garlic scapes and veggies were prepared and videoed so well I could almost taste them. Thank you for sharing with us!
I love these types of videos gives me inspiration on what to cook from my garden!
Love any videos that involve cooking, especially farm to table!
The pasta looks so good.. and the pesto sounds delicious. I loved seeing your dinner and all that you were able to put together from garden and homestead.
What a fun video! It’s nice to see how you prepare homemade meals.
I like all your videos.
Love the garden to table videos. It all looked delicious.
Love love.
I love to watch you cook and canning also 😊
It all looked great! Always nice to see how other cook
Love the video you’re amazing and I know Taylor appreciates all you do thank you you can show us cooking anytime I do enjoy it!!
Doing good M&T!! love your channel. Cooking videos are showing cooking from scratch saves $$$$$$$$$$.
I love ALL Calico Cow Acres videos!
Same, I never notice when the style switches up because they're so watchable. I haven't seen a bad one yet. 🖤
Loved the video. Your carrots were beautiful. The cheesy bread looked so good.
That meal looks amazing!!!! I cook 2-3 times a week as well! Works great for 2 people! Loved the video!!!!!
Beautiful home grown meal 😊
The best comment for any cooking preparation: "They eat good". (most of my prep falls into that category - we don't talk about the rest....)
Mmmm, garlic scapes. So fresh, so tasty, especially when you don't want something to be 'too garlicky' but adds flavor.
Roasted veggies - one of my all-time favorites.
We get it - cook/prep once - eat x3. (sometimes the 'leftovers' are even better - in their own way.)
But, I have a problem. I keep looking in my mailbox for the dinner invite and always disappointed. Just kidding. We're in Europe anyway.
Thanks for the video and the share! Am guten Appetit.
Good job with your dinner! I love your tip on the garlic bread!
I really enjoyed this video farm to table your food looked delicious 🙂💐
I love a good, no meat dinner. It looked delicious.
That meal looked amazing.
Does anyone else think that the sound of a hand crank pasta roller is soothing? Maybe I'm just weird 🤷
Mickayla have you ever made orecchiette? That's one of my favorite pasta shapes and they're so easy to just bang out. I also love to do gnocchi, tortellini and ravioli. If you do a lot of pasta freezer prep, I highly recommend also picking up a gnocchi board and ravioli mold as you can. Combined with my pasta roller, they really helped level up my pasta meal prep days. It really helped streamline everything and made pasta prep days a bit more efficient for me. Also, I know you can freeze cooked or par-cooked pizza bases, but I've never done it because I don't know if I'd like the texture. I think it's gonna wind up on my experiment list at some point though.
Also, have you tried the baguette recipe in The Homemade Vegan Pantry? I remember you mentioned the book in your last meal prep video as being the source of the recipe you use for Taylor's veggie sausages. It requires some planning because it needs a lot of time, but it's very hands off and I used to like to incorporate it into my own meal preps every now and again. When you were talking about buying the bread, it reminded me of the recipe since I typically don't have the energy to bake bread any more and I've been wanting to get back into it.
I don't know if anyone really needs to hear this, but I think it's always a good reminder: you don't have to justify the choices you make when they aren't harming anyone. Buy the bread that saves you time, I buy pre chopped veggies right now because I don't always have the capacity to fully prep vegetables. I'd rather have cut pineapple in the fridge than have a possible fresher whole pineapple that ends up rotting on my counter because I'm to exhausted to utilize it. Do what works best for your family and your situation 🖤
Great job Mickayla, yes farm to table is amazing, way to go girl ! and I just loved your bowtie pasta ! I need that dough recipe please !
Thanks so much! 😊 the pasta dough is just duck eggs & flour kneaded together until it’s “ear lobe” consistency. Then I froze it so I had easy fresh pasta dough for later!
Very nice! Your dinner looks delicious!
Looked fabulous!
It all looks so yummy. I like all your videos.
Hey thanks for this, I always feel better about doing something like this after I watched someone do it first. I have a very similar pasta roller I got from an estate sale and you just gave me the boost I needed to finally use it!
Thanks for sharing. I love this type of video seeing how others cook so I can get new ideas. I know it’s a lot of work for you though
Love your video.
Love the viideo!
Love the veggies!! They looked so pretty!! I'm getting there...lol...Its so hard with working full time also..How do you like having the ducks?
Have you been eating what you canned it doesn’t look like the jars are emptying?
Yepp! We pull from it weekly
give yourself a pat on the back..looks yummy..no chemicals, no GMOs...and you know where your food came from and how many dirty hands have touched it..I have a real problem with who has touched my food..same with hotels..grosses me out to sleep after others..who and what has been done in this bed??close the circle..
