Today we're working with Maple Street's Volcano Capri Blue for this Amy Warden's Soap Challenge revisit. This one is the marble soap challenge, and it was a ton of fun. I worked with the mold a bit different than the tutorial suggested though - check the video for more info!

Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. The business was started as a tribute to Mrs. Soap & Clay's grandmother, the OG maker in the family that cultivated everyone's love for the DIY life. The studio/retail shop opened in 2017 on 6th Ave in Tacoma, and immediately began teaching soap, bath bomb, lotion, and scrub classes to the makers and maker enthusiasts of the PNW. In 2019, the pottery studio opened as well, making the soap shop a busy place full of artistic energy every minute of the day.
Mrs. Soap & Clay has been featured on Business Spotlight, New Day Northwest, and was awarded a coveted place on the South Sound's 40 under 40 list in 2019, an award given to the most influential business people under the age of 40 each year. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.
Drawing from her chemistry background and her maker spirit, Mrs. Soap & Clay infuses her favorite things into her soapy designs and creates products that are fun to see, use, and learn to make. Stick around for this ride - she'll take you on a great one.

Jeez, this is my second try commenting, because my tablet ate the first comment. First, I am fully digging these bars! The way this pour correlates with epoxy resin pours is so unexpectedly awesome, and I was so surprised that these bars came out looking so complex! Next, I love the mica line hack! How cool is that!? Last, hell yes (!!), you should own your shit! When you make something you are proud of, show some pride! No one wants to hear, " I suck!" all the time. Be proud of those skills, y'all! You work hard, so show people what hard work, stubbornness, and perseverance can make and what it's worth!

@@MrsSoapAndClay I think soaper are really guilty (myself included) of trying to make things easy but actually making them more complicated in the process 😅😬😂😂
BUT! That's why I like this channel so much, you try ALL the things. Now I feel I'm not restricted to this little soaping box. My creativity has been remarkable since I've started watching bc you challenge my process and that's incredible! Definitely not a trait I find in many other soapers I watch.

I love these! Would this work in a standard loaf mold or is it necessary to cut differently in order to achieve the look? I love 💕
Another mica line trick I learned from tree Marie is to use those suction bulbs for getting baby boogies to blow off the excess powder so you don't get separation.

A good trick! This can be done in a loaf, but you’d have to be pretty planned out for the mica lines and what not before starting.
