Where does the 400' requirement before your first turn to 200 degrees? I do not remember that being a requirement, but then it has been awhile since I did my instrument training.
Question. Refer to departure procedure from KAUN, Auburn, CA. Under departure procedure YUBBA ONE. What is a VOCA RWY 7? I mean what does VOCA stand for? Apparently one has to ask ATC for it. Something to do with taking off in VMC I think.
Passed my IFR check ride today and your videos have been instrumental.
Congratulations!
Pun intended.
Congratulations on your two achievements: instrument rating & wordsmith rating

AIM Chapter Section 5-2-9 (Departures)
@@pisymbolThank you!
Can you explain how you got the number of when to switch from Vy to cruise climb?
It's listed as Standard with minimum climb of 490' per NM to 3700'. Once you reach 3700', you are clear to transition to a cruise climb.

Nvm I see now, it’s still part of the minimum climb gradient required, so you can switch to cruise climb upon crossing 3700msl, got it
