I loved Colin's contribution in this scene - "Have you ever visited a farm, El..?" And "Heading off to take our sticks out...for a round of fencing..!" 😂
I was a bit shock when I found out Eloise's actress is actually 32 years old, older than Daphne's actress! She's really like a teenager. Her expressions, her moves. And Penelope's actress too, she's already 35 years old. What a great acting!
She does have a baby face. Her big eyes, her nose and her cheeks. I saw her photo when she was in her 20's, she literally looked like a middle schooler. Luck girl.

During that time it was considered absolutely inappropriate to discuss such things with young women, especially young women of their social standing. The men were encouraged to learn about it, turning to prostitutes and other lower class women to learn how to be a man, but young women would be shamed forever if they did anything improper before marriage. They were simply expected to marry as well as they could and on their wedding night, lay back and let their new husband do with them what they wanted
It was actually a bit inaccurate. Young women were absolutely given the most rudimentary explanations surrounding sex, as it was feared that a woman unaware may have sex unmarried without knowing the consequences. Now, they only would have been told the bare minimum to get the idea, but they would never have left a young lady completely unaware.
Her story is my favorite out of all this series, I'm really looking forward for it! And Phillip is just so perfect for her, she is dominant and strong (and somewhat managing), but he gladly allows her to be dominant, while loving her to the point of worshiping the soil she stands on...I just can't wait to see how they will adapt it in the show

One of my favorite scenes with her was when Daphne decided to marry the odious Lord Burbrooke for the sake of saving her family image. The look of utter shock on Eloise's face as she looks to her mother and brother, silently pleading them to not let Daphne go through with this; absolute perfection and done without a single word.
