Hello,
In today’s episode, I’m busy making accessories for the guest bedroom. I make some toiletries to display on the dressing table, as well as a make-up bag with brushes. I also build a chair from a kit and give you a sneaky peak at my designs for the wardrobe, which will be featured as a tutorial here on TH-cam in April.
I really hope you enjoy this episode.

I’ve found your channel and have become such an admirer of your beautiful work! You are a natural teacher and your comfortable and informative methods are so easy to follow and inspiring as well! Thank you! I’m looking very forward to my future creations based on your wonderful instructions! Kathleen
Thank you so much, Kathleen, I'm glad you're enjoying the channel. Happy Miniaturing! :)
A pleasure as always! You surprise me every time with the new miniatures. Looking forward to seeing your
additions to your guest bedroom! Amazing work you do!! ♥️ 😃
Thank you so much Elizabeth.
I also want to say how jealous I am that your workspace is so clean!! I know it's because you pick up your stuff and I do not, but I still am jealous.
I do like to keep tidy! :)
Me too but I have an OCD partner who keeps me tidy as I cant cope with the face he puts on if I havent lol!
Lovely builds!! That blue room is coming along so nicely Julie💖
Thank you so much Ara. :)
Your voice is so soothing 🧡
I hope you show us the makeup at some point
Thank you. I will share the make up tutorials. :)
@@JulieWarren wonderful! Thank you
I really enjoyed this and got a lot of great ideas for my little dolls house. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Suzanne, I'm glad you picked up lots of tips.
Great episode! The quilt filling is called Quilt Batting on this side of the pond. Try to find a quilter and beg a small piece of batting from them. If you have to buy a batt, you'll have miles of stuffing left over! On the brushes, try wrapping sewing thread around the bottom of the bunch of hairs (tightly). The thread will be covered by the gold foil. The thread can be held in place with a small drop of glue. Oh how I remember hair spray! It became a household staple like flour and salt.
Thank you for the useful information, Mary and for the tips, too. :)
Some fabric stores sell some batting by the yard, so you can get it cut to, say, a quarter yard if that's all you need. Or sometimes there will be a remnant for sale at half price.
My husband & I did a few of those antique furniture kits. I love those pieces as the detail is so beautiful. Beautiful work as always. Love the wedding picture as well. Those are the items that make the dollhouse come to life. Thanks for all your wonderful advice and take care.
Thank you so much Joanne.
I really enjoyed this video Julie. Zenas printable miniatures are lovely and shes got little boxes for everything. She always includes a little free printable card with several little boxes so you can practice before getting into the kit proper. Theyre super for adding little details and many have a Victorian theme so she has a wide variety of hatboxes, gift boxes, perfume, confectionary and haberdashery (you add your own ribbon etc to make it more realistic). They really are wondeful for adding that little extra detail. She also has Christmas and Halloween kits. Love them and theyre totally addictive. If you really like a particular shaped box you can trace them to make your own or to make fabric covered ones.
My cat fetches most things that ping off...shes crazy but that part of her personality is super helpful lol!
Thank you, I hadn't hear of Zenas printables, so I'll take a look for inspiration! I used to have a cat like that! :)
Yay! 💜🙂 I found one I can send a comment. Lol Love you first off! Such great work. I was watching you cut the tiny pencils, and I wanted to give you a great tip for things flying into oblivion. Some double sided tape helps. It's not a cure all, but I find if I stick it down it's less often. Thank you for all your wonderful videos. Keep it up, we need you! 🖌🤟
Thank you so much for the tip Sarah. I'm glad you're enjoying my channel.
@@JulieWarrenYeah, I hope it helps. I love a helpful tip, and I always try to share when I can. I want to start a channel, so it's so great to be able to see how the pros do their videos. Thank you for all you do! You are so talented. 💜 I can't wait to see what you do next.
Amazing work as always!
Thank you so much 😀
Another great episode, thank you!
Thanks Alison, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Lovely video 💖
Thank you 🤗
If you tied thread around the make up brush bristles before you cut, then cut , then put a glue dollop on the bunch And Then attach, you get a fluffier brush. Just saying.
Thanks.
Really enjoyed the video. Great job!
Your doll's house still needs interior doors.
Will you be finishing it off soon?
Thank you for taking the time to share.
Yes, I shall of course be making doors.
Julie seu trabalho mim encanta, parabéns um grande abraço para você do Brasil.👏👏👏👍👍👍❤❤💋
Thank you so much Eliane. :)
So pretty 😍
Thank you!! 😊
Love your videos. I love crafting with you! Who makes your dollhouse? I haven't seen one that closes up like that, I love it!
Thank you so much. The dollhouse was built by Len Lewis Classic Collection, who, unfortunately is no longer going. The front-opening houses seem to be more popular in the UK. :)
I loveeeeeeeeee it x
Thank you. xx
Excellent as always, such attention to detail. What happened to your pink cutting mat? ☺
Thank you, Beth. The pink is on the other side! :)
How can I get the same house you are decorating . . . .front doors opening . . .once had a book shelf started (lost in a fire) but with no doors on the front. Love your videos . . been not doing miniatures since the fire but want to change that . . . getting my new home organized to make it a SUPER part of my life.
I don't think my particular dolls house is sold anymore, but do do a bit of Google research! There are lots of dolls house companies out there and I'm sure you'll find something you like. I'm sorry to hear about the fire, that's devastating. :(
Julie Warren Didn't you make a video detailing the measurements of the house? I don't remember which diary episode it was, might have been one of the back to bare wood ones, but I do remember thinking it would be possible for someone to build one from scratch following the measurements.
I have no idea how to even plan what should go in each room. I am just kinda winging it. Tips on how to even decide?
It's a good idea to think about how you'd like your dream home to be in real life and go from there. Perhaps you'd like a separate craft room or a library? You might have always dreamed of a walk-in wardrobe or dressing room? Hope that helps. :)
First 😁😁😁😁
Hi Bianca. I hope you'll enjoy this ep! :)
@@JulieWarren of course👍👍👍 it's all sooo cuuuute
