I mean you'd think that pistol armed cavalry would be absolutely devastating in a world where firearms aren't that accessible. The lore just doesn't match the model or the rules in my opinion. It's why I never used pistoliers much in game.

Good points. These soldiers were devastating by Cromwell’s era. I thought that they replaced the heavily armored knights/gendarmes.
