  • Mahmoud was a freshman at the American University in Cairo at the time of publishing this interview. He won a full scholarship to attend AUC because he achieved the top national score among blind and visually impaired students in the Egyptian secondary school system (Thanaweya Amma) in 2019. In part 1 (of 2) of this interview (which is subtitled in Egyptian Arabic), Mahmoud tells us a little bit about growing up blind in a city like Cairo and shares his views on disability!     Thank you for the interview! The subtitle doesn’t really work for people who cannot see! I wish there was a way to provide it in English translation and audio

      Me too! I've been saying this from the start - a dubbing option on TH-cam would be amazing! I hate subtitles myself...
