I've brought this up on Misha's channel. Bring a life straw, or a Sawyer filter. Free water. Less water to worry about carrying in. Water ain't light... I've used them in the yuba and North fork American, and I didn't get sick
Looks like a fun time 😊. Look in to getting a hand pump for clams make the inlit smaller w will be amazed it works great look up vogs prospect you can make tools like his I think it will help you . Happy gold hunting 😊
Where on the Yuba are you not on state park land? I mean majority of it is state park land and they watch like Hawks. I've wanted to hit the Yuba for ages, but hands and pans is really limiting
@Miner_Mike figured as much. There are spots I know on the North fork that eventually hit BLM land but they are also not super easy to access. But hit me up if you're interested in doing a video out there.
Can I tag along next time I live in Marysville California and am looking to make some new friends that enjoy the hobby I do so that I’m not having to go out by myself.
I try a little more water on there. All the material builds up and doesn't wash out. Did that once. That's the one time I found gold lower than I ever did. There's something satisfying about plopping a pile and watching it wash away and see what surprises are there 😆 Now I think about it. It's a red neck slot machine 😂🤣😂
@@Miner_Mike The top flare doesn't flare, and the rifles are fast water design. That means this is a fast water sluice. Run the water between your 1sr and 2nd knuckles and set the angle as to "V" the water into a bump in the middle of the rubber mat.
I’m down in Bakersfield and do a lot on the Kern River and then dry dirt desert but have always wanted to come up to Yuba. Are you all on BLM or private claims?

I was at the Yuba that day too ! I love that river and live nearby. But I don’t know how to prospect much.
Nice. It's kind of tough when first starting out. Shoot me an email. We can get you out there next time we're in the area

Yeah. The places to go are not easily accessible

Hi minor Mike
Hi Jean
Little more water through that type of sluice and slow down, don't just slam the material on there.

@@Miner_Mike I also have one. I believe it's the a51. It's definitely tougher to get running right compared to ones with the flares.

We're on BLM land
Which fork of the Yuba if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks. Nice video!
