    Great video! I’m burning through a roll every 3-4 weeks but much better than filter socks. I could reduce return pump speed to increase filter roll life but I’m ok with current burn rate.

    To keep my hands out of the water, I just staple the new roll into the last inch of the old roll then advance it until the stapled section gets to the other side... Then I remove the staples, and take off the old roll as he showed. Just have to be mindful to make sure the staples are as horizontal as possible.

      This works very well ! I only take it completely apart to clean things

    That roll looked pretty clean. I was thinking about getting the smaller one but I'm a little worried I'd be burning through rolls looking at how clean that one looked.

      The roll was actually very dark brown. You were just seeing the last couple of feet rolled on top that did not really get used. These filters are amazing

      Listen man I was dealing with the same dilemma but I went through with it anyway and it changed my life. Filter socks are sooooooo annoying and the technology in the app makes it even more worth it. Worth every penny. My roll lasted almost 2 months

    Great video! I have the Reefmat 500. I installed it and it keeps saying that it was incorrectly installed. I tried redoing everything and it just won't work. What am I doing wrong?

      Just so I'm clear what is not working? The whole thing or just the app/wifi?

      @niagarafirecorals The lights are on, I guess I have it installed wrong. I spoke with Red Sea and they respond a day later. They told me the sensor was installed wrong so I fixed it as they showed me

      The sensor slides on 2 little tracks in the handle like hole on the side

      @timothythomas6452 also make sure you have the motor and the setup page set for the proper side. If you motor is on the left the app has to be setup to the left as well
