As with the other comments you do a great job in explaining the process. It is very intimidating to get a new car and start removing stuff and drilling holes into it. You show the steps in such a way it breeds confidence into the less confident. Well done keep up the great work.
Imagine drilling holes in your trunk for a spoiler talk about nerve racking 😮💨 but it went well but definitely scary to really do after thinking it through and making an install happen is one of the best feelings
Awesome tutorial. I don't have templates for my side skirts but I think I'm going to remove the rocker panels just so I'm not working on my back and have more control over placing the skirt and drilling in the screws. Great tip on using the electrical tape since it's not obvious that you can drill right through and up into the side of the panel. Only thing I would add which I saw in another video is that those rocker clips that go into the body have pieces of foam (to prevent rattling) and it's easy for them to fall off, check to make sure you have all of them on before installing the panel back onto the car. Also I see what you mean about strong horizontal lines but it looks great.
Thank you for this video this is the next step in upgrading my car and I think using Subaru components wherever possible doesn't take away from the value of the vehicle
Great video! Only thing I did different was after install I noticed small pebbles getting trapped in the area where small push pin is located in rear wheel well. I grabbed some thin all-weather single sided foam tape and applied it to area where skirt rests to keep debri out and prevent paint damage (sti should have ran that thin rubber all the way around that corner imo). Actually referenced this video for install as the site for instructions wouldn't load so thank you for the help!
Hey mate. Thanks for the great wrx videos. Wondering if you could do a video on replacing the standard older 2015 wrx cup holder with the newer 2018 premium cup holder with sliding closure. I think this adds a lot to car interior look but not many people have done it. I think it looks poor on the older and v1 models. Thanks!
I came to this video to look at the install... I noticed the subtle flag overlay on your rear passenger window...where did you get it? Nice touch...I am now contemplating this as opposed to a small flag on the door
Hey my 2021, I bought it new. Im trying to put these on and it seems like it’s made of a super soft plastic. I basically ended up almost string the screw. And the screw has turned into black resin almost. I could have totally messed this up. But I was using the proper tools. Idk what’s going on, any advice on removal?
Love your videos man! Question that you might be able to answer: For CVT WRX's ( I have a 2016 Premium) is getting the Boomba BPV worth it and in any way harmful for the car? Ive been seeing its a good mod and what are your thoughts?
Do you think this is possible to install without the oem hardware? The reason I ask is because I purchased a used STi oem side skirt kit but it didn’t include the hardware. I was thinking of just using screws from a different kit
I really hope they pay u for these vids. U help me out so much with my installs..used to be so intimidated

I'm going to get prices for these components today @Irvine Subaru today. A great video brother. Take care and I really wished Subaru made a VB STI.
Looks good, matches and flows well with your front black lip spoiler...
Traded my 18 sti for a 21 sti. And I'm glad I found this. I'm buying the whole kit Tomorrow. Thanks for the videos you put up good job

The front lip, and side skirts make the STI look really good. 😊I have a world 🌎 Rally Blue Bluebaru STI. I got that name from Smeedia. 😊
Installed my front lip and side skirts with the help of your video. Thanks bro. 2020 STI. ✌🏼
Very nice video, man. I’ve been dreading taking off the side skirts of my STI. You’ve definitely put my hesitation to rest.

Hi! Your tutorials are so helpful!! Do you think these will apply/help me with modifying my 2023 Subaru Impreza? I can’t seem to find any on that car
Your car looks great not too much anything, just right!
Wow awesome video, I have to check out the rest of them now.
Wish all oem pieces fit perfectly like this. Bought a new trunk but there’s a gap on one side and it drives me crazy.
Very detailed install!
Thank you so much for this video

Hey bro love the content ! Where u from ? Based off the videos your in western NY ??
lately I am thinking about remove those side skirts and treat metal body behind/underneath with some anti corrosion stuff
Has anyone done this before?

Where can I buy the template for the side skirt? Also, does the side panel have those little X's like the front bumper does for the front lip install?
Hello friend how can I find that same side skirt
Would this install be possible without removing the side pieces and just jacking the car up instead?
Great vid and good explanations. I always laugh at Americans and their use of imperial measurements though 🤣🤣🤣
Does oem skirt/front lip clear ground well enough for parking spots, bumps, etc?

@@akqjtn thanks!
Where can i purchase more of the 10mm seal clips?
where’d you get the hardware?
Did you install the side moldings yourself?
Definitely remove the side moldings. I always felt they gave cars that old 99 Ford Explorer vibe
smh.. still cant believe u abandoned us got an sti... the ej belongs in the antique shop
Hi Im installing mine right now. What do you do when you loose thread the plastic screws on the bottom? Any suggestions would be helpful thankyou!
