I loved many things about my Africa Twin, but i wanted tubeless wheels, and it was frustrating because i live in a very urban environment and it's an adventure in itself going off to find dirt roads to ride on. It made the 21inch front and tall riding height rather impractical for my dull daily commuting. Not sure what i want next.
The engine management warning light was triggered by the low battery charge. It will reset after 3 recycles of the ignition. This is the same with all ECU managed bikes.
That’s a shame you sold the AT I absolutely love mine and totally agree with you it’s definitely the best bike I’ve owned didn’t want to piss on your fireworks but Honda do offer a 21 inch front wheel for the2024model apparently looking forward to seeing what you have purchased keep up the great work
A Datatool tracker did the same thing to the battery on my GW DCT leaving me stranded 3 miles from home on my b’day 🫣. Thankfully, Thunder Road Honda in Gloucester were brilliant and removed it entirely.
Funny thing is I like the Africa twin now they put the bloody 19" front wheel in. The 21" is unnecessary but available on the new bike I was lead to believe.
I believe that the fond memories of the Africa Twin will remain in the recesses of your brain for some time to come, and you might just get another one. Never say never! It may be gone for now, but is it?!? I own the Africa Twins brother from another mother, the Rebel CMX1100 DCT and it stays with me for life! 🤔👍
I'm guessing Transalp next if that counts as big enough, based on the front wheel size comment putting you off a new Africa twin. That's an annoying issue with the battery, but maybe made getting rid of it easier mentally if you were enjoying it up to then and that was the plan anyway!
Monsieur Poisson, where was you riding in the Picos clip ? We’re going again in September and I’ve only done the track between Espinama and Sotres . Ta
Husqvarna 901 Expedition. I know it is not the new BMW 1300GS because of the 19 inch front wheel putting you off on the new 2024 AT AS. Might be the BMW 900GS. BTW, you do know the 2024 AT base model still have the 21 inch wheel?
Just take it on the chin and change the battery. You must be quite well off my bikes been grounded for 2 years needs a new engine still don't have the means.
Versys 1000,though more likely you'll be sticking with Honda. After years of bigger bikes I'm happy with my little CB500F, probably a pain for long-distance touring, though it could do it, but enough for everyday use and more pluses than minuses. I've had big old lumps and they tend to be just bigger and cost more to run for very little real-world gain, I changed my old 600 Hornet for the 900 and it just handled worse, was heavy and massively less nimble. I've got mates who think the same way and have massively "downsized" after realising how much more fun smaller bikes can be,and how much more practical as like me they're "year round" city commuters, on slippery roads a smaller bike is much less daunting.
Data tool is shit . That’s all they do is drain your battery well known now but they don’t improve the system . Total waist of time .monimoto all the way
Beautiful video, Brother! I’m totally with you. The AT is such an incredible machine. Pleasure to share those mountain memories with you, mate 😘
We will do it again I’m sure ..
Great video pal 👏🏻👏🏻 was a privilege to share that Trail with you 👍🏻looking forward to seeing your New Ride 👍🏻
Looking forward to see what the new bike is mate 👍
Agree with you on the DCT, great idea
The Dark Lord always looked and sounded feckin stunning 😊

Ah I see , I didn’t know that , thanks

Not pissing at all 😂 the adventure sport has only a 19 it’s the standard that has the 21
I stand corrected sir
Sometimes loving a bike just isn’t enough 😎👌bikes come and go but the memories stay forever 😎🙏looking forward to seeing the new steed
I know what you mean , it’s corny but the journey is the thing I look forward to the most most , but still has to float my boat 😂
Looking forward to your new 2024 Africa Twin 👍
Thanks for the Montage, I will miss the "Dark Lord"... I am guessing lots on the new big bike. There are so many good candidates.
There were many ideas lol
A Datatool tracker did the same thing to the battery on my GW DCT leaving me stranded 3 miles from home on my b’day 🫣. Thankfully, Thunder Road Honda in Gloucester were brilliant and removed it entirely.
Crf1100 L base model , I remember the test ride ❤
Funny thing is I like the Africa twin now they put the bloody 19" front wheel in. The 21" is unnecessary but available on the new bike I was lead to believe.
Its horses for courses , the 21 is on the standard twin not the adventure , but it will make it a better road bike
One more reason to stick to well tested models from up to 2019.... Not changing my adventure to anything with more electronics
Nothing wrong with the bike , it was the Datatool
@@Mrfish2015 no idea what that is but made the bike unusable...way too much electro-gizmos
It’s an aftermarket tracker , something for insurance not part of the actual bike
New Transalp is my guess. You are going to miss the sound of that beast mate, what a bike the AT is.
I will
Miss that roar
Please not a GS1300
Makes sense to swap before summer, especially if you are not using it! 🙂
Don’t want to miss those 2 days of summer
@@Mrfish2015 😀aye... although only one left now as it felt pretty good out there today! 😀
I think it'll be the new Honda NT1100. By the way, you are a bad ass rider. I know you say you aren't, but you are. Can't wait to see the new 🏍
I’m an ok rider but thanks .. I’ll take that 😂
That bike sounded the absolute MUTTS mate!
That’s the bit I will miss 😂 it’s an awesome sound
The regular twin still has the 21 inch tubeless wheel
Correct
It's another africa twin. Standard. ❤❤❤❤Red ofcourse 😊

The memories are strong with this one , and my next bike already has some plans 😉
Sad to hear the Africa Twin is going but look forward to seeing you new bike. Is your new bike the Triumph 1200 Rally.
What ever it is...Can't wait to see Fish 🙂
Maybe gone for E/S DCT Standard Africa twin? There was a red one in Honda at weekend they look so much better in person than pictures
Guessing NX500!
I'm pretty sure the new Africa Twin still has a 21inch front wheel option if you want one.
In standard
@@Mrfish2015 oh ok, one would have thought they would do the Adventure Sport model with the option as well.
Would have been nice 👌
The Dark Lord will never forgive you, and AT’s far and wide will turn their backs to you! 😜
Ha ha , they still love me
2024 Africa Twin ES 👌👌👌👌🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞👌🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞💪💪💪👍

Defo a full dress "wing. And it will have tassels. Leather chaps mandatory.
Ah sussed it 😂
It's a honda gold wing, yamaha tracer 9, or ..I give up, looking forwrd to finding out. Ride safe cheers.
Monsieur Poisson, where was you riding in the Picos clip ? We’re going again in September and I’ve only done the track between Espinama and Sotres . Ta
I have no idea lol, you’ll have to ask mr richy Vida , he was leading me astray
@@Mrfish2015 ok ta. I’ll,try and do that 👍🏻
I could see you on a Triumph 900 Rally Pro or an AT1100L with the electric suspension and DCT?
I regret selling my 2016 AT black as well. I should have spent a few G$ on suspension and had a better bike than my Desert-X
Which exhaust do you have there mate?
Fuel
I refuse to get rid of my Africa Twin Adventure sports - 2022 Manual ES, 2024 comfort seat - 21 inch front wheel model..
Good call
I recon, the AT 1100 es.. much nice than the sport!
i reckon the new 2024 african twin crf1100l with electronic suspension go get it fish 😊
Triumph 1200 rally pro 🤓 Boo…… 😂. But seriously, ATES DCT 😉😎

it's still going to be an Africa Twin isn't it Fishy? :)
Tiger 1200 or 800DE, MV Agusta Veloce (rank outsider). Loved that Matt black beast.
Are you gonna get a Datatag on the new one? 🤔🤨😁
Errrr nope .. but if I need to I know now to permanently hook it up and do the app lol
I think it's gona be the Voge DS900X 😊
Tiger 1200 gt pro?
I’m going to stick my neck out here, it’s going to be a Honda Africa Twin 1100L ES DCT. 😉👍
A transalp ✊🐟
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450..?
Bet you're getting the 750 Transalp or a bmw gs.
Possibly the Tenere?
The datatool products draining the batteries is a well-known issue that datatool knows about but they always deny it 🤷♂️
They certainly do
Honda ADV 750?

I do know yes 🙌
Will the next big little be the USA east coast to west coast on monkey bikes dressed as minions
If you're staying with Honda it'll probably be another twin or...... NT 🤷 if not, GS.
I think its going to be something well unexpected, Its a Yamaha FS 1E, Lol
Hmm 🤔 now there’s a thought
Honda 750 transalp 😎👍
Just take it on the chin and change the battery. You must be quite well off my bikes been grounded for 2 years needs a new engine still don't have the means.
£515 for a battery is a no from me .. but that’s not why I sold it , that’s what triggered the early sale .. I’m not well off just work hard
Honda TransAlp 750 😊
2024 africa twin ES
Expensive selling a bike after only two years.
Not really it’s on pcp .. but more cost effective after 3 lol
KTM in black 🤔
Aprila Toureg
Tenere 700 rally raid
Tiger 1200
Can't wait for the new bike, BMW GS1300? Maybe 🤔😁

CBR600RR 😂
Suzuki 1000 GX
You’re not fat enough for a GS so I reckon a transalp?. Although you have been spending time with the awesome Teapot so who knows😂
