Sad that this will end. It’s life affirming, motorcycle life affirming! Brilliant routes every day, done on a bike that doesn’t break the bank and a rider with no ego but does have a good sense of humour and humility. Never taking himself seriously or upping himself as some YT star. My favourite YT biker !!
I’ve really, really enjoyed this series… and the scenery on this episode was absolutely epic!! Many, many thanks for sharing… loving your NX500… cracking bike! 🤗😁❤️
Nice video again We moved up to near Carlisle from the South just for motorcycling 9 years on and still finding magic every time we ride Move yourself up here and your channel will explode So much content up here for you Enjoy and ride safe If you come up again, make contact, and we will show you around
Is this the last one? 😪 I´ve really enjoyed the series. I generally get motion sick watching bike videos but yours are really well filmed so no dramas there. The music is discreet and appropriate and I like you little asides - that comes from many lonely hours in the saddle. Stunning scenery and although I live in the biker´s paradise that is central Spain, I am definitely inspired to go and follow your route in the future (probably post retirement in 3 years). Love your top tip to do the NC500 anti clockwise - very sensible. And of course the star of the show is the little NX500. I love mine more every time I ride it having converted from GS grand dad. All the best to you Mr Fish.
Done it a couple of times myself on bike John, took Helen over it in the car the other week after we’d stayed in the lakes, she said there’s no F**kin way I’m taking my bike over there, we did it opposite direction, lots of scratches on my cars front spoiler now!!🤣🤣🤣nice vid, cheers Simmo
Hardnott I’ve done once and I’m relatively local, terrible surface and too many idiots on it most of the time. Love the Lakes but they are too busy in the Summer, you seemed very lucky with weather and traffic. PS. Waswater is stunning and deep apparently…
I love Hardknott and Wrynose passes, done it every year, and usually do it both ways. Was great fun on the Honda Monkey 125 when I had it, but in 2025 it will be on the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S. A good test of a bikes handling. During the week is the best times to go over as the weekends are absolutely rammed. Hardknott Roman fort is a good place to stop and have a wander up to the fort, really get a good look over the valley. Should have walked down the road a bit, gone up via the bath house where it's a lot less boggy as there's the remnants of the road under the ground. I'm lucky that the Lake District is only 1-1 1/2 hours away from me, can do all the passes in one day.
I did those three in June along with Newlands Honister and lunch in Keswick at the large car park at top of the town with bike parking and the biker who owns the tea van will keep half an eye on your bike if you pop into town, they do have another bike parking area there behind the shops with a rail to attach chains to but out of sight of the van. A good day of fun riding on a 125 Super Cub from the base at the campsite at Ravenglass.
Yu hit lucky it usually rammed cyclist bikers cars campervans...I'm really loving seeing (what ive done many times as I'm fairly local ) though your first time of riding eyes... wrynose hardknott ...etc... cheers
Nice one mate 🤘I did the Hardknott with Jo on the back. The camera can never get the steepness across, we stopped in the pub at the bottom for a coffee and a biker came over and couldn't get over the fact I did with a pillion? I didn't have the heart to tell I was an amputee as well in case he fainted 😂
Your mra screen extender has me baffled. That is exactly what I’m looking for but try as I may, I cannot find one that fits on the sides as yours does. Would you be able to tell me what model no. this is and where you got it from please? Loving this series by the way..👍👍👍
I´ve not ridden the NC750 but a mate has one and it strikes me as a bit vanilla, ideal for commuting but little else. I have an NX500, and whilst it´s not going to set the world on fire, I´d describe it as vanilla, with a flake on top and a few sprinkles. Go for the NX500!
@Jorrocks1703 sorry don't agree with your assessment of the NC. I've been all over Europe touring on mine including the Picos and Pyrenees. Perfect one up with luggage
I had an nc dct 21 plate mcyclist of 50 yrs and I sold it within 3 months. Just zero excitement bland and characterless. Just how I felt riding it. Not been on an nx but love this series on it, seems very capable light and prob not much in the performance.

Thanks for watching , appreciate it
Congratulations on the lack of traffic! What a beautiful ride on a beautiful day!!
Thank you so much ,I’m loving your tour, I truly believe that it is the most epic, funny, mesmerising motorcycle tour ever !
Wow , thank you so much , that means a lot
Excellent video John top marks buddy 👍
Thanks 👍
Kirkstone pass one of my favourite roads, hope your well buddy 👍
It’s lovely , a great run (when the cars go away lol)
@ Yes I have hit it gold a few times ha ha but 9 times out of 10 you get stuck behind a campervan or something 😂
Nice video again

Thanks you for the kind words , I have one maybe 2 to edit .. Spain is a lovely place to ride , enjoy

A car over there .. no thanks lol
Wehey, just received my. Fuel stealth exhaust for my 24 africa twin. Or should I say frica win?? 🤪 Loving yr vids. 🏆🏆
Can’t believe lack of traffic. Makes for a great ride
I was blessed with the traffic
Hardnott I’ve done once and I’m relatively local, terrible surface and too many idiots on it most of the time. Love the Lakes but they are too busy in the Summer, you seemed very lucky with weather and traffic.

Sunning roads that was one bike trip 😍
The 911 would not have liked the hardnott 😂

A lovely place to live , get ride of the tourists and it’s glorious 😂
Great video, bet it gets very busy on the passes in high summer .
I can imagine it’s rammed

I popped over Hardknott and Wrynose in July on my Honda SH125 Mode. You can't be in the wrong gear on a twist and go.
The poor cub 😂 but must have been epic
Yu hit lucky it usually rammed cyclist bikers cars campervans...I'm really loving seeing (what ive done many times as I'm fairly local ) though your first time of riding eyes... wrynose hardknott ...etc... cheers
Thanks for watching … yeah less traffic certainly makes it better

I wouldn’t do it with a pillion .. (no not because I have no friends) lol
@Mrfish2015 😂 you can take me on the back. That'll be a vid!
Yet again, another brilliant video. Maybe purchase a drone for your next trip
I contemplated it , but I live in around so many no fly zones it wouldn’t get much use
Your mra screen extender has me baffled. That is exactly what I’m looking for but try as I may, I cannot find one that fits on the sides as yours does. Would you be able to tell me what model no. this is and where you got it from please? Loving this series by the way..👍👍👍
What dates were you doing this, also what day as it looks very quiet up there.
It was a Monday I think and first week of September..
Are You still using Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour? Everyone says they are bad tires. What is Your experience? Thank You and stay safe
I used the trailmax for the whole trip (now changed) they held up well with no problem but I wouldn’t choose them (the oem ones)
@@Mrfish2015 Thank You. I also have NX500 (but in white color) and planning to buy Dunlop Mutant for the next season (I don't ride during the winter)
It's not usually so quiet on those roads, you let lucky with the traffic and the weather. Both can be a lot worse.
I got extremely lucky on most of this trip
No roads are dangerous , its the idiots with more ego than skill that cause the problems
Sorry to persist but NX500 OR NC750X Trust your judgement as I've had the NC750X for 4 years (got stolen last week!) now need a replacement

😂 you have to decide what suits you .. they’re both road bikes so go for the one you want .. I’d have both .. but I prefer the NX for my needs

@@kevinf-b5065my experience is totally opposite least engaging bike ever owned no character or love for me🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
