I admire the innovation and plan to do something similar. But I didnt see what your foot pedal is moving to shift gears. I also thought about using the front brake, attached to the pedal but with the brake bias all the way forward and then coupling the back brake pedal to a handbrake peripheral (which back wheels only)
the gear shifter was just activating momentary switches, it was a very crude effort and only put it on youtube because someone asked me to, I had originally put photos on a facebook group.
You might want to reverse the steering. Remember you steer away from the direction you want to go. I always say push out with your inside hand and that will cause the bike to lean to the side that you're pushing the handle bars out with. it's way they call it counter steering.
Very smart! I thought the same thing with some little differences but you realized! With what you have I only would change the guidon support put in invert way, from bottom to on top side. Sorry my english, I am from Brazil too.
That is some Mcgyver stuff right there. I like to mod also, I have modded a Logitech G27 and a Logitech Driving Force Pro. Old tech is more simple to work with. Good luck with your future modding.
Genius haha. Love the foot controls. Imagine the steering could have been further improved by mounting the wheel so that the steering shaft stuck up at a more appropriate rake angle. Then mounting the bars say 35mm in front of the steering shaft would give a pretty realistic feel. I mean it wouldn't swing left and right to follow the onscreen bike, but it would feel more like a real bike in that you're pushing on the inside bar to steer. Instead of rotating the whole thing left and right. If that makes sense?

I am flattered, but that project never got properly finished and I only put it on youtube because someone on the facebook group asked me too. There are prople out there that will build one for you, but I would imagine that would be quite expensive and that is what inspired me to somehow put those bits together. I did mean to improve the idea with a custom build, but as with most of my ideas I exceeded my ability in mechanical know how.
It’s a shame the bars don’t go the opposite way as a real bike …left bar forward to go around a left corner .. counter steering

There's an old thrustmaster Handlebars for PC thats still nice to use , depends how serious you are if just for fun with mates then its good enough 👍
