SNR.357 actually stands for Snub Nose Revolver. The 357 is actually the cartridge it takes, .357 magnum.

I paid $130 for a charter arms .38 revolver. I guess I'm lucky tho, I live on a 10 acre property and have my own backyard shooting range. I remember when I was growing up in the suburbs, pellet guns were awesome for small backyard plinking

Or in places a real firearm is not allowed. Can't use firearms within city boundaries where I am unless it's a defensive life or death emergency situation. Air or co2 gas powered guns are allowed to be used within city boundaries.

Excellent review. Not a lot of "look how funny my personality is!" type stuff. You got right to the point and made efficient edits.
Regarding the cheap blister packaging, I think they do that so stores can hang them up on display with anti-theft chips in them without worrying about someone opening the box to "try it out." Sometimes, they offer them in boxes for online retailers.
Re. the sticky trigger, I bet that will loosen up with more shots.
I have the older Crosman 357, with the short clips that are cheap and easy. It doesn't look as realistic as yours, but those clips are cheap and easy to come by. I'll look for more of your videos.

I have one of these snr357's....I liked the grey/black finish better than the Dan Wesson versions of this co2 revolver.
Those 5.4 grain Crosman penetrators are amazing ammo for this type of gas gun.
I chronographed my snr357 shooting them as high as 397 fps!
My SNR 357 is a "factory re-manufactured " gun that was a steal of a deal @$50 CDN and it actually came in a box, and not in plastic clamshell packaging.
I trimmed little strips of florescent orange sticker paper from "shoot-n-see" type of reactive target and used the tiny bits of orange sticker to make three dot style open sights.
The trimmed bits of orange sticker paper works alot better than using paint.

This just gave me a good idea: I bet I can build a mold with these parts and get it to real barell and parts specifications for a .38 special (same diameter but not lenght of 357 magnum)and make those parts steel and .38 special pressure capacity. I'd only have to modify the mold to .38 special diameter.

A 22 would be easier since its rim fire not centre fire
The frame metal wouldn't be strong enough to handle the pressure of a round hitting the forcing cone and 1st shot your new barrel will fly off. These airguns are made from Die cast zinc. Even if you could make or fit an existing 38 special or 38 S&W cylinder and barrel You would have to modify or retrofit a hammer with a firing pin or install a pin into the frame. When I was a teen Me and My Uncle would convert old starter pistols into working 22 Short or 22LR. We did convert a 8mm Blank pistol to fire 32acp by using parts from a junk bin just to see if it was possible. It was ALOT of work for a gun I wouldn't trust. We turned it in a police buy back for $200, LOL. It's cheaper and easier to just buy a Factory made gun. If you just want to build one yourself get one of the 80% Kits available online.

The triggers probably become sticky from a buildup of gel you've been sending into the mechanism from the cylinder. Id consider binning that idea as any weapons unpredictable when it isnt thoroughly clean. For the grip there are sites that acually make upgrades for these out of different materials including solid wood. They would be sure to make them a better fit with them not being mass produced plus it would transform the piece. Peace
if what youre saying is dont put oil on the c02 cartridge, thats a very bad idea. there is a seal at the top inside that gun that will fail if its not oiled, and your c02 cartridge will leak around it and you wont be able to shoot

I HAD TO EDIT THIS OVER 2 YEARS LATER I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS VIDEO HAS OVER 3 MILLION VIEWS LOL...I thought it was crazy back then having close to 1 million. .. It's basically a dan Wesson 2.5' the only difference between them is the dw ranges from 139$ to 289$ price constantly goes up and down monthly for different online retailers and comes in either gold or Chrome and is distributed by asg and only comes with 6 bb cartridges plus a speed loader. .where is the Crosman only sells for 80$ to 120$ tops and comes with 12 cartridges 6 bb and 6 pellet no speed loader this one shoots pellets while the dw don't

your gun does not have a "sticky trigger" you were holding the hammer forward making the trigger lock up

I recommend Crosman Wadcutter pellets. They are supposed to give it the most range and accuracy. But also the best mod for any air pistol, especially revolvers is to upgrade its stock valve for a better one. Search for Dan Wesson Power Mod on TH-cam. Peace.

I wouldn't do that. It's a penetrating oil made especialy to dejam nuts and bolts from rust on cars. You probably end-up melting all your rubber and even plastic eventually.
Silicon based oil is working on all the parts, chamber and pellets so you try to stick to that.
For the Mechanism like a blowback, trigger, hammer pin, etc... you put grease, I like vasoline it's clean and clear.
If you want to lube the pellets you can use a dry lube which does a very clean job. You lube all of them at once right in the thin can and it dries up in under a minute.

I know this co2b subject . Truth Seeing this brings back one new years night people i was with got pulled over this lone cop had his weapon less that a foot from my head. Shaking. Now this co2 could easy have cops jump to fast judgement.

I bought one of these Crosman SNR 357 pistols...Crosman is my exclusive air gun and normally i only buy the USA made ones but after reading a few positive reviews on this made in Taiwan pistol i broke rank and bought a non made in USA Crosman. Sorry i did. Oh it looks awesome and you pick it up it feels awesome in your hand. But the mechanics of it are real cheezey. Mine fired great in single action mode but in double action mode the hammer didn't always hit the firing pin unless you jerked the trigger hard and fast. Not a great shooting procedure. Shot both BB's and 2 different pellets all over the place even at 5 yrds. And everything mechanical on the gun was very sloppy loose...all in all a pathetic piece so I sent it back and requested another made in USA Crosman model as a replacement. I work in a machine shop and we run parts for the high end Crosman air guns so I know first hand the quality that goes into the USA made ones. I still love Crosman air guns and will continue to buy them though. Not the ones built overseas.
