So… hear me out… if you start in the init patch with the global tab and drag the Osc width down to zero, you force the output of the oscillators to be mono. From there, you literally create THE Square4 wavetable by setting the unison to 4, detune down to around 0.04-0.07, balance at 85, and the random down like you did BUT… go to your menu tab and hit “resample to osc A”. Then reset your unison back to 1 voice. Now, you have a phase-y wavetable which I recommend you normalize, shift horizontal to zero crossing, and cross fade all of the wavetable frames. And then basically continue with the rest of what you did in the tutorial. I’ll let you figure out the rest, awesome tutorial by the way! 💯✨
I just realized I never responded to this, that sounds like a genius way to emulate a proper square 4 wave table bro! thats awesome, im going to test it out. Seems like it would work beautifuly. you know your serum well brother! thank you for the cool comment!
came back to this video because it was like the first time i've ever tried to do square basses now look where the hell i am 😭 thanks a million for inspiration that long ago
I followed you a few months ago and was so impressed, had no idea you saw this video. Im happy I helped you brother. You are PHENOMENAL, Keep up the great work
After I finished my song Riddim this tutorial appears again. I killed myself and didn't get such a good result. Now I've joined the digital distributor
Once you get this sound how can you make it different so not everything sounds the same. Riddim always has a flow and every Riddim producer has their own little tweak of that sound
@@klide1615 much appreciate you man. I've been pondering myself on replicating square4 without Reason, but I'm a noob producer, and this is just what I needed. Very detailed informative vid man, would love a series. Big ups brother 😎
yo just wanted to let you know, if you still play minecraft with shaders and you are using optifine, switch to the iris shaders loader instead. it will double or even triple your fps, 100 fps on a 3080 is way too little.
Im definitely going to be checking this out thank you! I will be migrating my gaming stuff over to another channel soon and get back to content creation! thank you for the heads up friend!
@@klide1615 There's a whole genre of performance-enhancing mods for shaders like Iris. Iris is actually built off of Sodium, which optimises the graphics engine. There's also Lithium, which reduces the game's load on your CPU, and Lumium, which boosts the performance of the lighting engine.

Yes I can, unfortunately i have been working on moving to a new house and holiday stuff so i havent been on my pc at all lately. more tutorials on the way soon
most definitely, i would have to open vital and figure it out but i know for a almost certain it is doable. the thing is the comb- filter on serum is specific and idk if vital has it. i would have to look and see
Synthesizers like serum are very sporatic. Even if you have the exact same parameters, the final results can be differential. in the end of the day, get rid of all FX except for the filter and build from there. That is the root of the sound. keep playing with it and you will find a sound you like!
@@blackbobross4960 make sure your bpm is 140 to 145 and just rinse and repeat. you arent the first person to bring this up. I wonder what is causing such different results? what is your sounding like?
@@klide1615 i actually saved the preset like that anyways and closed FL studio and the next time i opened it and tried the preset it actually sounded fine. I have no idea what happened lol

Dopeee, what notes are you playing in the midi?
Sorry for the late response brother, I dont remember what notes I was playing:/ i think E on the keyboard
Go off 🤴
Thank you sweetheart

Why you're modulating the osc level instead of serum master level?
BTW. This OTT with 0% depth really makes tge difference.
i modulate the occilator level in order to shape the volume of the sound over time. by using the LFO i made the sound have a stark rise in volume and slow taper back to zero. Idk if that is what you were asking but i triedXD
Any idea for VITAL?😭😭
Isn't the xfer ott a copy of the Ableton ott ?
I believe you are correct, i just prefer the xfer one. more intuitive for me
ID of the tune playing in the background at 3:40?
