One of my favourite planes in the game. Back in the day the germn premium was the first high level plane I bought and it gruinded me out the whole prop tree. It was really back in the day. Bui I stil lenjoy this plane from time to time :D

I love these prop videos. Can we see the 205 serie 3 in some of the future prop videos? It's one of my favorite aircraft in the game and I'd love to see it.
@@KekusMagnus He 100 is pretty broken but far from one of the worst examples in the game. You hit it once with any gun at all and its out of the fight lol. Which really isn't that hard to do if the He 100 overshoots and doesn't defend properly. Extremely easy just to spray one down with how fast you can reverse in low tier props. I actually think the He 100 would be stronger at a higher BR, like 2.3 or something, where it doesn't run into biplanes constantly since they kind of just directly counter it or, at worst, force a stalemate. They honestly should just give it 151's (which it was supposed to have IRL, pretty sure there was a prototype with them installed) and put it at 3.0 or something. The worst examples below jet tiers are the P-39, most of the Corsairs, XP-50, F8F-1 (was limited, but still one of the best planes in its BR, before when its engine would overheat constantly. The buff to its engine cooling a few months ago turned it into a complete beast. Has no right being at 5.0 anymore when it's better than some 5.7's), F-59A (did get nerfed, but still can't do anything against it if it's a downtier and the F-59A plays it right), Pyorremyrsky (a better 109 G-6 at a lower BR lmfao), Ki-44 (pretty much the only undertiered Japanese aircraft after the J2M nerf lol), Yak 1B (can't believe this thing is still the same BR as the Yak 9 after all these years when it's better in every single way lmfao), and the Yak 3U (should really be the same BR as the P-51H, they're the 2 best props in the game lmfao).
@@DaisiesTC "They honestly should just give it 151's (which it was supposed to have IRL, pretty sure there was a prototype with them installed) and put it at 3.0 or something." No prototype got a 151. Only the He-100D did. Problem is that what we have in game is the armed prototypes, not the He-100D. Proof? The He-100D also did away with the surface cooling system and used a traditional cooling system. The fixed radiator was put in place where the retractable one was on the prototypes. It was also wider than the retractable one requiring the wings to be widened. This was bug reported a few months after the He-100 was introduced to the game using the only actual source documentation from Heinkel on the He-100D that still exists. But Gaijin rejected the report because Gaijin's Russian sourced information claimed that what was sent to the SU was the He-100D. Something the bug report showed wasn't true per Heinkel's own documentation as what was sent to the SU was the few armed prototypes to illicit sales from the SU, not the He-100D. So Gaijin rejected a bug report citing factory Heinkel documentation in favor of SU documentation because reasons. Given that is the only source documentation on the He-100D and Gaijin already rejected it and Gaijin does not allow rejected sources to be used again in another bug report we are stuck with a b&ll$hit He-100V prototype in game masquerading as the He-100D. "F-59A (did get nerfed..." Still virtually unbeatable with a good pilot in it against anything 5.7 or lower that isn't the LF.IX Spit, Yak-3VK or Yak-3U. Aka 3 props that are 6.0 or 6.3 worthy themselves. P/F-59A is arguably a 6.7 plane that sits at 5.7. "Pyorremyrsky (a better 109 G-6..." Not sold on that being better than the G-6. G-6 climbs better and is faster. Pyo out turns it. Pyro also locks up notably sooner. That all said in a 1v1 the Pyro does effectively hard counter the G-6. Still doesn't make it better per se. It is just a different flavor of 109 that sacrifices some speed, a bit of climb and high speed maneuverability for better medium and low speed maneuverability. "Ki-44 (pretty much the only undertiered Japanese aircraft after the J2M nerf lol)" The Ki-44-II is easily a 4.3 plane. As for the J2Ms? They are all missing their historical top speeds. They are currently one of the few Japanese prop fighters in game using Japanese top speed data rather than US top speed data. The Japanese didn't use WEP for top speed tests. The US did. The J2M2 and 3 had a top speed of 406mph or thereabout. The J2M5 was around 424. With the top speed buffs the J2M2 and 3 would be worthy of 5.7. The J2M5 would be worthy of 5.3. J2M4? US never tested one as far as I can find.
Wow! You carry the Loraine Cross on your Tempest! "The Cross of Lorraine is a double cross that appeared in the symbolism of the Dukes of Anjou, who became Dukes of Lorraine from 1431. Since Joan of Arc carried it on her banner, this cross has become a symbol of national independence, as well as a sign of rallying in both victory and defeat." My dad was a resistance fighter in France during WW2. Thank you for sporting that symbol and all the brave Dutch. Cheers!
I recently got into the british air tree myself, so I'm excited to try some of these aircraft that I've been seeing in videos. This definitely looks like a blast to play. I do have a kinda silly request for a video. The Brigand B 1. Its a heavy fighter with a bomber spawn and I love the dumbness of it.
@@DimaMuskind just unlocked it actually. grinding it from stock as I am typing the comment actually. Good fun so far. So far it seems like basically the Brigand but a direct upgrade. Brigand is still a blast to troll people with.
To me, La-7 > La-9 > La-11 which is kind of funny. At least in terms of BR and general enjoyment. 170rpg on the guns is also a godsend because I can't aim
@@thephlophersThe 23mm guns don’t provide nearly any firepower improvement. You get maybe 20% more damage for half the ammo and lower RoF. Which doesn’t make sense since the 23mm rounds have twice the weight. But realShatter just made caliber basically irrelevant. If you could load high velocity .50cals with 100% realShatter HE rounds, they would be the best guns to have, since you get 6-8 on most US planes. That’s the problem with WTs ammunition and belts. Gaijin doesn’t give a shit how each round should behave, they just buff HE and then balance everything around that.
Tempest Mk. V used to be my favourite aircraft to fly and I used the german premium which is strictly inferior to grind the entire german tech tree with a KD of like 2.5:1 even though I was a total noob at the time
Your aim this video with these hispano's vaguely reminds me of aiming the MK 108s for some reason. Ik these 20 mills arent the fastest but, the lead feels so much like aiming the mk 108s, well for the initial parts of the vid
I was trying to spade the J2M3 the last two days and for some reason my guns didn’t really disassemble any planes unless I put in a huge amount of shells into them. Whenever I managed to to hit them in a pass it always was just a Hit! But in protection analysis they seem to deal damage just like any other 20mm gun 😵💫
I really enjoy watching how you approach picking apart a group of enemies. You time it so well and it seems as if there is a comfortable margin of error. The blue balls at the end were rough. But would it be war thunder if it didn't grief it's best and most loyal players? Sure wish it wasn't like that but if they fix something, something else gets much worse so..... I bought that German captured Tempest V, just such a gorgeous plane. I wonder if prop management might help it get power at slower speeds. It always felt a bit like EZ mode flying it, I loved it but spent more time grinding stock planes than playing it. Not sure if 5.7 is justified considering all the planes shifting down. The Tempest with the 40mm is a blast too but you pay dearly if you aren't hitting. Also really bad stock syndrome. Meme vehicles be memeing though.
Yesterday I got only one kill at the end of a match, because one guy just maneuvered into the ground and the other that I shot to pieces, burining, missing wing and spinning, was only about to crash into the ground 3 seconds after the game ended. I felt so robbed of my playing time 😤
This game can make you crazy and the funny part is that it’s not even that good. It just lacks competition. It’s not like anything about it is particularly special other than the fact that is has a shitton of vehicles that you can’t play in any other game.
No, the typhoon isnt as fast and is way more agile, but unlike the tempest it bleeds its energy way more, the tempest climb way more, and has actual ailerons.
@@ZeePanzer The Typhoon actually has great MER as well, at least horizontally. The only meaningful differences, BR relative, is that the Typhoon turns way better while the Tempest has somewhat better roll rate. Relative to BR both are subpar climb wise so the better climb of the Tempest is technically lost facing faster climbing opponents. Same goes with the speed of the Tempest relative to Typhoon. They are both fast for the BR. Technically, relative to BR, the Typhoon is better so long as you can work around the very poor roll rate because it has such a great turn rate.
I know you aren’t a historian or anything. But I don’t know what makes you think the Tempest V has a “weak” engine. The Napier Sabre is straight up one of if not thee most powerful WW2 pure prop engine. Standard early Tempest V were putting out 2,400HP compared to the BF109-K4 engine which put out only just about 2,000HP and 1,850HP at WEP around sea level. The Tempests engine in later war variants got up to 2,600HP. The Napier Sabre had runs of up to 3,000HP even 3,500HP which was ridiculously powerful. The Tempests V was a beast at low altitudes and was superior to Russian and German contemporaries at these altitudes. FW-190s and La-7s really were outmatched in low altitude performance, climb rate, and dive speed.
@@DEFYN Only a little chonk, it’s skinnier than the typhoon. It does have a big chin radiator also adding drag. it’s almost as big as the P-47 so I guess it’s considered a bit fat.
"Its not that fat my mother weighs more" type comment But yeah should have been a bit more specific. The plane just feels like it doesn't have an engine when it comes to climbing. When you compare it to yak3us and K4s especially
@@DEFYN Haha, I believe its historic climb rate is something like 24m/s. The YAK 3s are their own thing especially down low and have been considered UFOs down low since the game started. The BF-109s can climb somewhat decently but never have I found myself more than a few hundred meters below a 109 in the MK V. Then again I am extremely aggressive, I play similar to how I fly the La-7 with an extremely fast 10* climb angle into the enemy to intercept their climb and drag the enemy lower for the team. The La-7 and Tempest have great ability to dive out even at only a few thousand meters and after just superior aircraft at those altitudes. After all the only thing German aircraft can do is energy fight and boom and zoom. It’s not like they are particularly good dog fighters in any regard. Don’t get me wrong I’ve spaded the 109 and 190 series since 2017 but they are over ratted asf.
If ticket bleed is an issue, then your team didn't do enough to swing the ground battle your way early in the match. It's frustrating at times but I like the fact that it forces tough decisions, you sometimes have to give up altitude to kill enemy ground pounders or clear out some AI attackers before things get too one-sided. If you waste too much time trying to kill the enemies that climbed, those who didn't might have swung the match too far their way to pull it back. I think part of the problem is the short matches, the battle pace and consequent ticket bleed has been accelerated as a result. Going back to 45 minutes with a slower battle pace would give players more time to react to the changing situation.
Serious question time. @DEFYN, imagine someone who wants to get Tornado fighter version. What tech tree would be better to go through to get one, Italian or British?
Idk why you say the c205 serie III Is bad, i am not a veteran player but i find that plane good or at least decent in every category. If someone can explain i would be happy.
Because it is a step or two over BRed performance wise. It is below average in every major performance category at 4.7. It should be 4.0 or 4.3 at the highest.
@@fabriziomessina6734 G.55s are over BRed too so that isn't the best comparison to be making. In terms of performance the 205 Serie 3 climbs better than the G.55 Serie 1 and the Serie 3 is about 10kmh faster in level flight at most relevant alts but the G.55 has much better turn. The 205 serie 3 is slightly better than a 190A in turn. The G.55 is very close to a Merlin Spitfire in terms of turn. The G.55 Serie 1 should be at least one BR step higher than the C.205 Serie 3 as it's much better turn and otherwise not too much worse climb and speed numbers means it is just a better plane in general. They currently sit at 4.7 and 5.0. They should both drop down to 4.0/4.3 and 4.7 respectively. For the record I hate flying the G.55s and highly prefer the 205s over them. The reality is that the G.55s are slightly better planes. I just don't like planes that love to turn but struggle to accelerate like the G.55s.
That ending is so infuriating. Why the hell can't there just be no tickets? If the game is going for too long, just have the trucks that spawn in after like 20 minutes end the game if you destroy them or something. There, now ground pounders and bombers can get rp and sl without affecting the outcome of the match.
Losing a game like this should be illegal

I fully expect Gaijin to give us the lower performance, tropicalized version of the Mk VI
@@blacktiger974Shit, I always thought THIS was the tropicalised version, dunno why, maybe because it has this thing under its engine the size of a fucking Jersey island
Imagine defyn on ww2 on p51 fighting the luftewafe while Commentaring all what hes doing.
He's done that, many times.
I was wondering if you could make a series about the best plane at each tier for each nation, I think it would help new players and old with starting a new tech tree since the grind in warthunder is so wonderfully torturous, love your videos Defyn :)
One of my favourite planes in the game. Back in the day the germn premium was the first high level plane I bought and it gruinded me out the whole prop tree. It was really back in the day. Bui I stil lenjoy this plane from time to time :D
Clicked faster than my team when they dive on that one attacker.
That's pretty fast ngl
The ending fucking hurt me Defyn you deserve so much more 😫
LOVE your vids btw, you're my biggest WT inspiration I love you bro 🛩
Defyn playing British props, hell yeah
2 Days ago I had my first match where I clutched a 1vs5 in a Mig-19PT as the last guy on my team, Got 5 Gun/missile kills and forced the last guy to lick the ground with no ammo left. Your videos truly helped me understand Air RB. I am actually enjoying playing planes as someone who spent %80 of their time in tanks.
Finally been waiting a long time for this. My favorite prop in the game
I love these prop videos. Can we see the 205 serie 3 in some of the future prop videos? It's one of my favorite aircraft in the game and I'd love to see it.
Ahh yes when you think top tier compression was bad enough now you get overpowered planes at the low tiers
you can never escape the snails wrath on us
My mans has never seen the He 100 or the P-39.
Tier 1-2 has always been the least balanced because noobs don't know what they are doing
@@KekusMagnus even better when they have a couple of hours playtime
@@KekusMagnus He 100 is easy to fuck up in, all you need to do is not be 1km away from all the spammy very rof MGs around you
@@KekusMagnus He 100 is pretty broken but far from one of the worst examples in the game.
@@DaisiesTC "They honestly should just give it 151's (which it was supposed to have IRL, pretty sure there was a prototype with them installed) and put it at 3.0 or something."
No prototype got a 151.
"F-59A (did get nerfed..."
Still virtually unbeatable with a good pilot in it against anything 5.7 or lower that isn't the LF.IX Spit, Yak-3VK or Yak-3U. Aka 3 props that are 6.0 or 6.3 worthy themselves. P/F-59A is arguably a 6.7 plane that sits at 5.7.
"Pyorremyrsky (a better 109 G-6..."
Not sold on that being better than the G-6.
"Ki-44 (pretty much the only undertiered Japanese aircraft after the J2M nerf lol)"
The Ki-44-II is easily a 4.3 plane.
The Brigand flies like a brick (aka, poorly), and is more accurately a light bomber pretending it’s a heavy fighter.
@@zanaduz2018 Well when I fly this brick I out fight P38s, P51s, Bf109s, and a bunch of other things. Hell, XP50s hate me in it

I encourage you to try the Hornet. Not a lot of people are playing it, but it is very cool, and I enjoyed flying it.
@@DimaMuskind just unlocked it actually. grinding it from stock as I am typing the comment actually. Good fun so far. So far it seems like basically the Brigand but a direct upgrade. Brigand is still a blast to troll people with.
Tempest Mk. V 😊😊 One of my favorite planes in this game.
Defyn La-11 when, you literally played nearly every other plane
Why fly a worse version of the La-9?

Just finished the vid on the tempest mk2 last night, crazy timing. Great vid defyn keep it up👌👌
Try the tempest in IL-2 Stalingrad. Turning better than a spit xD Not stalling at 140 km/h, and with 100% engine power, its gonna climb.
Warthunder's mouse aim Instructor probably prevents showing its broken flight model😅
Defyn should fly the funny german boat plane
that ending was so stressful, very nice match anyways
I don’t know what you did with the new thumbnail but it looks really nicely done.
Ik these 20 mills arent the fastest but, the lead feels so much like aiming the mk 108s, well for the initial parts of the vid

that ending is heartbreaking, tickets ruined my games like that more times than I can count
that stat card check was nasty work ngl lmao
I was trying to spade the J2M3 the last two days and for some reason my guns didn’t really disassemble any planes unless I put in a huge amount of shells into them.
Whenever I managed to to hit them in a pass it always was just a Hit!
But in protection analysis they seem to deal damage just like any other 20mm gun 😵💫
The NO at 7:53 is aura
Meme vehicles be memeing though.
fuckin well played m8. The end is infuriating😤

Just a thought Gaijin, freeze the tickets if last two fighters alive wanna 1v1 and don't want the AI to decide the match result.
I so enjoy Defyns videos
And then I try and play
And stink
Yesterday I got only one kill at the end of a match, because one guy just maneuvered into the ground and the other that I shot to pieces, burining, missing wing and spinning, was only about to crash into the ground 3 seconds after the game ended.
I felt so robbed of my playing time 😤
Which direction should the Skill Issue decal go on the wings?
I place it so the enemies can see it when I am in their 6.
This game can make you crazy and the funny part is that it’s not even that good. It just lacks competition.
It’s not like anything about it is particularly special other than the fact that is has a shitton of vehicles that you can’t play in any other game.

would you try the f86f40?
let me save you guys 15 minutes: the typhoon mk1b/L gets more or less the same flight performance, but it's at 4.3. This is at 5.7. You do the math.
No, the typhoon isnt as fast and is way more agile, but unlike the tempest it bleeds its energy way more, the tempest climb way more, and has actual ailerons.
I would say that typhoon is even better
@@ZeePanzer The Typhoon actually has great MER as well, at least horizontally. The only meaningful differences, BR relative, is that the Typhoon turns way better while the Tempest has somewhat better roll rate. Relative to BR both are subpar climb wise so the better climb of the Tempest is technically lost facing faster climbing opponents. Same goes with the speed of the Tempest relative to Typhoon. They are both fast for the BR. Technically, relative to BR, the Typhoon is better so long as you can work around the very poor roll rate because it has such a great turn rate.
I didn't know what to do, so I did meth as You suggested.
Thanks, having a blast.
As i said its cuz the plane is a chonker
@@DEFYN Only a little chonk, it’s skinnier than the typhoon. It does have a big chin radiator also adding drag. it’s almost as big as the P-47 so I guess it’s considered a bit fat.
"Its not that fat my mother weighs more" type comment
But yeah should have been a bit more specific.
Is there any chance of a la 11 video? Closest thing is a la9 video from over 2 years ago

The Serie 3 is kind of alright (in my opinion), but this vid had the N2, which is horrendous. Probably because it's almost 400 kg heavier.
@@rainsilent well i find It much Better than the g55 but the g55 Is a higher br
