    A Dutch guy speaking German with Englisch subtitles? Mammoet is really international. Mooi werk mannen!

    • @ph11p3540
      @ph11p3540 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That fact alone does not mean they are international since German and Netherlanders understand most of what each other says, share the same work ethic and similar cultures. They are on the other hand very international for having truly multinational operations with major regional head offices on every continent. They do work in over 100 countries.

    I'm really impressed with the crane giants they put together for such lifts, and no lifts are too big. OK says the operator who has been given the job, and assembles a crane that fits the lift to be performed. You'll never hear no from their mouths, even when it comes to lifting an ultra super tanker to the top of Mount Everest.

      @@LitoGeorge "Burger" is a sort of "Citizen" also here in Switzerland. But a little bit more actually: "Citizen" is a "Bürger" (with "ü") here in Switzerland, and a "Burger" (with "u") is somebody who's family originates in the village/city and is native to the village/city and therefore has part of the communal land and forest (the so called "Allmend")

    It is strange that this behemoth that costs who knows how many millions of euros has an ordinary household aftermarket A/C unit in the operator's cabin...

    • @ivantimofeev2233
      @ivantimofeev2233 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the aftermarket unit is good enough, why waste time on making one of their own
      is like spacex and the seats for their dragon capsule... they worked with formula 1 teams instead of wasting time and money in "reinventing the wheel"

    • @bazoo513
      @bazoo513 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ivantimofeev2233 Every Crew Dragon seat is custom fit to its occupant. They may be designed and/or made with the help of aerospace and F1 seat designers, but that's not the point. Trucks don't have household A/C units - this one was obviously an afterthought.

    I wonder what happens next, right after the lift! Someone has to secure these two parts together somehow, how is it done? From inside the cylindrical tower?

  • @rohandavies8889
    @rohandavies8889 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    How much energy has each turbine got to produce just to off set its on construction? These cranes use 10s of lorrys to move them about just for one lift.
    Awsome what humans have done.

    I've always wanted to ask what is the limit of how big these cranes could get ? I have this idea for something I call a water crane that uses a large body of water like the ocean as a counter wieght so u can pick up anything that man can build because nothing wieghs more than the ocean.
