Patek Philippe watches are for a better word, boring. If he wants a great watch, a watch that equals or betters the best from Patek, he should invest in an A. Lange & Söhne timepiece.

5140BB is about $14k in the gray market. Manual wind, offset small seconds. That's a gorgeous classic watch with a modern 40mm case.

The Breguet asthenic is late 80's through the 90's. Blue hands on every model yawn. Phatso is correct buy a Patek.

Get a Breguet if you like it, just don’t buy it new, get a used bargain. Avoid Type 20 and marine, get a classique
If you don't want to lose value stay away from Breguet. Another really nice watch is a Rolex Day Date Gold President bracelet.
