Hello Professor What you present is really interesting and amazing, i do appreciate your job. I wish you peace and happness under the sky of prosperity. All the best.
Hi Rachel. I had never seen your videos, I think are amazing. I am going to subscribe right now, and MUNA try to practice a lot. Greetings from México.
Rachel I Love you and you excellents videos, you help me a lot tô improve mg pronnunciotion. My name is Marcelo I'm from Manaus Amazonas Brazil. Thank you for everything. Bey.
Hi, Rachel, "I'm going to" is one of my favorite reduction but when I saw this video I got to shocked I'm Muna oppositely just muna this is the crazy thing to do in America all the time I've never heard in British English this kind of reduction hence, I like American English thank you. your videos help me a lot thanks.
Thank you so much Rachel's English. I learned a lot of English words and sounds like a native which I can use my American clients here in the Philippines 😉😉😉💋
Hi, Rachel! Thanks for tha great video, as well. I would like you please do a video about "trynna" the reduction of "try to". And maybe " i'mma" the reduction of "I'm going to", as well. Thanks in advance.
That's the best video of reduction "going to" on TH-cam :) Thank you. I've always notice that mostly black people sometimes say hard "I'mma" (not munna).
Rachel: I'm a native Spanish speaker & I have encountered many native speakers complaining about us not pronouncing the "d" between two vowels as in "terminado" that we say "terminao". But native English speakers do the same in "madame" pronouncing it as "ma'am". "Th" in the English word "that" corresponds to "d" in Spanish. Americans say "You gotta buy them", but they really pronounce "You gotta buy 'em". Moreover American "d" (between two vowels) sounds like a soft Spanish "r", so when Americans see a "d" in Spanish they pronounce it like a "d" in English. It sounds very foreign.
You gotta be kidding me. Really!! Awesome. MUNA try from now on. Muna pay attention to it. muna immitate Rachel, the best pronunciation coach ever in the world never before ever again. Muna cry. You know what I meant, right? Thank you. Mina teach.. Bye.

This video is what I was looking for! I love you Rachel You're the best XD
You can also say "imma" instead
That's what I was going to say!
That's more regional and colloquial. You wouldn't want to say it in formal settings, and the majority of speakers don't use it.
And how do you pronounce "Imma"?
Bro Stop!

Great! The Google translator successfully recognized "muna" in phrases, even though I pronounce it with my Russian accent.
Thanks for pointing out the reduction in "muh be a little late". I always mistook "muh" for "might" when that reduction happened. Love you Rachel😉
You're the best. Thank very much!!!

Good job, Rachel! Thanks for showing us this reduction. It's gonna be helful. No wonder students have a hard time with spoken English. We'd never learn that in a classroom.
L. Érick Yes. No wonder students have a hard time -- Americans reduce things so much!
L. Érick you should start doing more real listening (for example movies), because the school ones are mostly unnatural. :)
L. Érick Too true. We've never learned such things like these reductions in school. Then I wonder how students could ever be supposed to really understand a native English speaker during an informal conversation if they chanced into these reductions...
L. Érick Maybe it's a regional thing (from New York), but me and my friends and family do it all the time.
