This exact procedure isn't working for 10.7.1 but I was able to find a correct path using it as a guide. And the transitions you linked are working in the new FCP! I couldn't figure out how to update or make new working adjustments after updating so that's an incredible help. Thankyou!

It works for me where it pops into final cut, but when I am in final cut I don't get the option to add an LUT and the Final Cut Video doesn't change at all when I add it over a video.
So when you add a adjustment layer over a clip does the “effects preview” stop working? When I add adjustment layer and hover over a effect to preview it the screen just shows black. If I add the effect it works fine but just getting no previews. Brand new Mac. Nothing else at all installed. Even made my own adjustment layer in motion with same issue happening. Thanks

Apple just upgraded my FCP (on my MBP pr 14" M1) and all my 3rd party adjustment layers, titles etc are gone. Tried to install them back as in this video but no success. Anyone?
Just FYI - the mid/late 2024 method is to do as you did in the video, but then do the -> right click on "adjustment layer" folder -> Get Info -> expand "Name & Extension" if needed -> add '.localized' to the folder name -> hit 'Enter' -> Enter system password -> Hit 'Enter' Thank you!
I have no idea where that dragging&dropping came from. Since 2012, when FCPX came out, there is the same path where you can find (and ADD) everything: >user >Movies >Motion Templates > Titles (in case of Adjustment Layer). Don't mess around with "show content". You can change many things there, but you can kill FCP too.
Look in the description for the Update 2.0. It's a permanent fix that works through updates. Cheers!

Yeah the effects preview isn't going to work over an adjustment layer. It only works on video files since there is something to preview.
