Is that sarcasm I sense? That’s an up charge
@@jimmymaracas6442 Yes it is, we do love our sarcasm in the UK! But that's probably the price, can't have Gucci tool bags and tools for peasant money!
I wish
@@jimmymaracas6442 sarcasm? That's the usual price! Otherwise we'd all have nice boxes and perfect wiring. I'd bet that's the only nice box in that neighborhood or even town.
@@legalize420that's a pretty huge upcharge. I can get that bag and load out for about 1000$ after having paused and thoroughly looked it over. The bag itself is a waste. 310$. Get a good klein backpack for 100$ and it's got an easily redeemable lifetime warranty. As far as tools, I tend to not trust anybody that has only one brand. Usually means they buy because of the name, not because of the quality and fit. That said the 1000v insulated knipex kit is about 400$ from a vendor, 350$ from Amazon. The extras he's got account for the other 300$. The larger knipex channelocks and the specialty stripper for example.
Definitely not 6k$ worth of work. That was done by everyone else on the job before he showed up. Also...that's not a "box" that's a small controls cabinet. Not something in most people's houses. Not even in most businesses. Usually industrial, schools, or hospitals...because they're kind of a waste of money required by the government.
The winking let's me know I'm in safe hands 😊
😂😂👍🏻
Product code number?
Yeah that part.
Almost perfect. Needs a 3.5mm & 4mm screw cutter
Mine does but its non insulated. May be i jave a different model or for some reason the insulated version just doesnt have it

Funny thing is they aren‘t even that expensive in germany

That's why we buy Klien instead.
What knipex tool bag is that ?? 😮 I need one sir @@efixx
I don't think there a bag big enough to carry you around in though 😂
My most used tool in my bag for sure!
I am waiting for the Rev2 of the 7 in 1 plier. It will have a notch for striping 4 and 6mm CSA conductors.
Throw in loppers for socket screws
Screwing multi-stranded wires without crimping it with solid terminals is... disturbing. Besides, there is a crimper in a toolbag.
Not necessary, in most cases manufacures specifically say to put as is(hager). Ferrules and crimping are only for soft multistrand cables.
Depends on the wire as well as the termination. Crimps are not always required or desired.
Not for class 2 wires, it's not necessary to ferrule them.
@@zaxmaxlaxтак на видео как раз многожильный провод который необходимо обжать.
If the clamp fixes around the stranded wire like a cage then you dont need to crimp. But i prefer crimping.
i use the same strip extra, twist, and fold back on alot of light fixtures where i am wire nutting stranded #16 to solid #12. it helps to make sure the stranded and solid wires are making good contact.
Congrats on the new tools.
I'm in love with that combination
That wink by Gary lol, very funny
The service sells itself... quality content 👍
It's good to see that even over there, the cover panel holes don't exactly line up with the nutcerts.
Love ours, use them all the time
Thanks 👍🏻
Best advertisement I’ve ever seen . Actually i hope i see more of these ads
Super set
these pliers were the first and only of all my knipex tools to get rusty within a month all the rest are fine really bizzare stuff
Prob not a Knipex then.
ils sont tres bien les knipex
Great pliers.i habe RhE same one and am very happy with it.excellent finish and build quality😊
Nice work ❤❤
Nice job thanks 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love these. They can even do 25mm tails at a push. Does crush though but 16mm it’s a clean cut.
Best regards,
Scott Liddle.
P. S. Yes please as the trainee mentioned please list all tools for the trainees as that would give a much better idea of what’s needed. And no it’s doesn’t all need to Knipex but I agree Knipex are the best tools I’ve used in electrical and plumbing DiY as I ain’t no pro plumber 😂😂😂
I've done 35mm Tri rated with these
Such a sweet bag
Beautiful backpack.... I wonder...how much would cost filled like that?
I prefer to crimp a square ferrule onto any stranded conductor going into a screw clamp terminal that carries current, but even the twist and foldback method you use is much better than just poking a raw stranded wire into a clamp., Both mechanically and electrically strong connections are needed to prevent future fires. Great content by the way.
Never properly taught how to do it without.?
Man here in the States we would never fold our terminations over like that. We would be called hacks
Im from Europa and i did Not understand why this folding ist done.
Increases the surface area for which pressure from the screw, decreases the chances of it snapping - especially with solid core. With stranded we do it because it's all about retention of the strands under screw pressure. Twist and fold makes it impossible to have a rogue conductor.
@@nickthesparkyWhy not just use a ferrule?
Why would you be called a hack?
@despair268 A ferrule on solid core?
Ferrules are for flexible cables. Our stranded has 7 conductors that are much thicker than the cores on a flexible cable. You could in theory use a ferrule but it'd be a waste of time. Just twist and fold
Why are their tools soo clean
What about crimping? which is the best most compact, most lightweight, etc, etc.. Which is the best?!
Surprising most screw spe are for between 3 and 4 NM. I’d have said folding over increases the contact area to reduce contact resistance and give a bit more metal to absorb any heat.
according to my teachers in my electrician education damaging the copper like that is a big no no
Want this product tool set from knipex
Get the Parkside 4v screwdriver, I’ve saved hours of pointless unscrewing/screwing with that thing, the old version of it is better, it has a toolbox with, bits, right angle attachments, saw attachments, torque limiters and all. £25 my man, They all just click toghether , even if they doubled the price I would still buy it) knipex charging the same price for their pointless forearm exercising machine (no hate on knipex)
They even do an insulated version (not as good), I have both types they’re so good
Thats a good clip for my aprentices… to show them how electrical installation is NOT done…
Greetz from Austria😂
I have the side cutters with the stripping slots , the 3.5mm screw cutter and grip section for doubling over . I'll stick with them thanks
Seem fine for single core, but I wouldn't want to reach for these for stranded.
Bigger question is do you clean your own mess or leave it as a calling card.
I usually fart so they can estimate when I left
In love with your tools❤
I need that bag 😭😹😹
Nice!
Why twist wire anticlockwise
Try cutting the outer sheath off flush to the the entry point of a back box 👀 they’re too long to get in a single or a double box and the shears part is too far back on the pliers 🫣
Which is why you still need all the basic tools but generally carry this one to replace 2-4 other tools. Way less reaching for the pockets (or god bless - the car/backpack/...)
Привет, почему ты не используешь шрупеверт?
Not bad for a plumber 😂
Are you filming with your bicep!?
We do the same in Australia 🇦🇺
Nice and Clean, top 😊
Thanks! 😃
Need these insulated strippers with AWG stripping gauges or can anyone say they’ve tried it and it doesn’t ruin the conductors
Did you not have enough time to install the lugs on the stranded wire?
But can I cut MC with it ? If not lineman pliers are still king 👑
What are you talking about? Every electrician already has a hammer and it is indeed the ultimate tool
Sir can you teach me this work ❤
Can I work with 25mm cables with that?
Is knipex like the electrical favorite or best in Europe. Like is that their Klien. Here in the U.S its all klien at least for me and 99 percent of electricians everyone has a couple of klien tools
Any chance you could list all the tools in the bag please? Trainee here
Idd wait on the knipex tools until your paychecks reflect them. I can appreciate the initiative, though.
Trainee? Please sir how about we step over here and look at our Stanley range?
In all seriousness mate knipex would be a waste of your money. Wait until your 20 years in as your talking about £700 for a full knipex hand tool rigout. For screwdrivers get wera and snips, pliers, crops etc get bahco. Don't buy CK you will be disappointed.

I’m from the states and I have a question. I’ve seen in many videos that a stranded wire is terminated with a ferrule. But other times a stranded wire is twisted and bent in half. So how do you decide when a stranded wire should have a ferrule and when it should just be twisted and bent?
There is a German standard which answers some of this. th-cam.com/video/Ia13o1I6DkM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Sova6xyV3pu4sOt0
Solid wire you can just screw down. Fine stranded wire you should use ferrules on most terminal technologies but there are also stiff stranded wires where the law gets a bit vague in most countries. Stiff stranded wire you can get away with twisting and turning over to avoid it untwisting or put a ferrule on it. Ofcourse all depends on your countries laws but for safety thats about it
no es recomendable doblar las puntas y luego apretarlas porque en dado caso cuando se vaya a retirar el cable la punta doblada se puede expandir en el momento en que se aprieta y Eso provoca que se llegue atascar
Does anyone know the part number for these? The wide nose/linesman nose is nice.
Toolkit price
What’s it called
How can I get this
The ultimate expensive tool that only if you get sponsored you will have it
Depends if you use them for a job or not, I bought a set of knipex flat faced water pump pliers, put it off for agers. Should have bought them years ago, time saved is money earned
Esa linha é top, sou apaixonado por um kite desse , Aki eu só uso a linha Belzer
In America we would call that hillbilly hack work
How much this set
All that kit and he didn't use a torque screwdriver for the terminal screws.
I also have a similar plier from knipex, but it dosn't do what they promise, for example if you try to Bend over an aluminum sheet less than 1 mm, the plier will dislocate, a cheap needle-nose plier i have always done the job without dislocating it selv in Germany Is it common that in your drywall the studs are Out of alu and as an electrician you have to Bend over the studs on the Flor If you laying Tubes and the knipex Dosnt handle IT 😢 but IS the only plier i have one my belt and ON me all time
Honestly I've looked at those but I reckon the 13 96 200 are a better buy
I agree especially with the crimp function. ✌️🙏✌️
@@scottl7644got the ones with crimping function and to be honest I’ll still prefer crimping tool
Why the shaky hands my friend? 😅
Stil using old kind of hard wire

Quick question...
Whats the bag and the rest of the tools for?....
be a lot easier to put a screwdriver in 1 pocket and your pliers in the other 💡 probably save a few quid too 😂
Do those have the spring internally or no
yes internal spring
Plaer model number please
Send me a set of those please
Why fold back? Is it even necessary?
My daughter just see this and said that's the same as your bag but yours is messy as hell 😂
👍
Ferrules.....
That was a really cool video man. Very clean and professional!

I don't like the wide end. I prefer the small tip similar to the needle nose.
nope It wouldn't strip twin and earth flex nothing Snips all the way.
if only the NA model came insulated :/
Why folding the wire end instead of using terminals that actually fit the wire gauge?
The terminal size is set for a wide range of cable or wire cross sectional areas (sizes). By folding over the wire you present more surface area for mechanical and electrical connection. If you had a few wires into the same terminal, you might not need or be able to do it. It’s fairly wide spread practice.
@@andyscott5978 I see, but usually there's only a hand full of appliances that actually need bigger terminal size on a consumer panel. Stuff like water heater, oven/stove, EV charger, etc..
Where I live, we also have terminals that fit a variety of sizes, like from a sectional area up to 4mm^2, and a few that fit bigger sizes like up to 6 or 10mm^2.
That's what I'm used to 😊, nevertheless it's interesting how it is done elsewhere. 👍
@@Helli__ Always interesting to hear how other countries do it. Are you in Australia by any chance?
@@andyscott5978 Germany
He using the correct wire tichness, for example 2.5mm, but those screw terminals are ment for wires that are not made out of individual strands, so usually people krimp those stranded cables to make a good connection. His was seems more as an DIY method then a professional one.
That finish on the wire strippers just looks wrong
Not many electricians use or have a Digital caliper in their tool pouch, only pros do 😁💪

Perfectly new tools. nobody likes to get their hands dirty nowadays.
why does he fold the wire?
Usually when screwing in cables, its preffered to have tick copper wires, not thin individual ones. Most people would crimp the ends. He just folds it to make it ticker, so that it fits more snug.
