He was never "brain dead", if there's blood flow to the brain. I wonder did the Dr' do a cold caloric test to check for any reaction? It's obvious they didn't do the scan, which isn't always necessary, but if there is ever a question, it should be done BEFORE they declare him or anyone "brain dead". Did he have a legal time of death, was the coroner notified of the death? Did she consent to donation after brain death or did she sign consent for DCD ( donation after cardiac death), meaning she had decided there was no hope and was going to remove him from the vent but wanted him to be an organ donor? So many questions were not answered here, I don't believe we got the whole "story". Which is sad, because without ALL the facts stories like this can make people question about signing up to become an organ donor, which can save lives and leave a Hero's legacy for the donor's family, that their loved one not only saved a life, but that they "live on". But I guess it certainly did make a sensational headline. SAD, so many questions left unanswered.

My bother cry’s when my parents cry next to him in the hospital bed but the doctors are saying there is no brain activity with scans? Is it possible for the brain activity to be so low it’s undetectable? My family thinks he has signs of some brain activity what are some signs he still does????
This is great, hope he can improve and not be badly brain damaged the rest of his life. It saddens me that people use this as a reason to say organ donation is a scam, because it is not. Doctors are not "trying" to off people who are viable for life.

It's not a miracle the Drs were wrong and I feel when they see someone's an organ donor they're quicker to want to pull the plug., ppl need to stop being so quick to let these Drs tell you there's no hope, when it would be one thing if it happened once or twice but this seems to be an ongoing issue, especially with donors. You don't find it odd that ppl who aren't organ donors don't seem to run into this issue, and families don't have to get the media involved to keep their loved ones on life support.
