Tbh, there should be a speedrun category, where you have premade bridges for all levels. The only goal would be to complete the levels as fast as possible.
That sounds like a lot of fun actually. I don't know if I'll do the full game, but maybe I'll try a few levels. Unfortunately, I think a lot of levels can be beat with spring cannons (compressed springs that expand once the level starts to launch the cars at mach 7) which makes a lot of levels trivial.
i'd be interesting to see a poly bridge campaign done as fast as possible, still with the budget and materials restrictions still on though, but with the same idea of the pre-made bridges for all the levels.
Like a week ago i tried searching stuff akin to overengineered poly bridge and found nothing. Im glad these channels are popping up and i hope the will of the algorithm is in favour
I can just imagine now: “Honey, why is there a giant hammer behind us?” “I don’t know.” “Oh, whatever. The boat is almost crossed.” “Uhhh.. dear?” “?” “The hammer is moving towards us.” “Oh no.”
Imagine you're driving down the road, the bridge ahead falls into the water and your car just gets lifted by a giant claw and brought to the other side.
This is really entertaining. It's explained in a way that makes me - someone who has never considered being an architect ever - understand everything, but then I look back at the bridge and it's crazy how you made a crane with the limitation of all hydraulics working simultaneously, in a game where things can and do collapse under their own strain, and it's able to lift a minivan.
