I wish to believe a lot of young koreans learn foreign languages and really use them to communicate with people around the world.
It looks like a cool tool, however, I dislike computer-voices so much. Why not just record human voices? It is so much better. Thank you for introducing it anyways, maybe one day it is useful for me, since I traveled a lot and enjoy learning languages, too.
Now I only speak 2 languages to fluency, however 2 more are okay. Maybe beginners-level but I understand more? I would like to learn korean, some day, if there is a chance, maybe in the holidays.
but the guy in the thumbnail is the reason we all clicked. DON’T LIE.
I wanted to lie but indeed that is the reason why I clicked 🤣
Not gonna lied , we need his social media accounts ❤❤
handsome
He only appears with his friend in the video. ... They deleted the friend for the thumbnail.
@@Shindashi they definitely knew what they were doing lol
Thought the guy speaking in portuguese was korean, I mean, grew up in korea, was shoked by such good portuguese. The guys speaking in spanish also speaks very nicely. PS: brazilian here that also speaks spanish and english.😊
I’m just like you, Sofia. I can defend myself in spanish but english is the one I feel more confident about. I’m trying to teach myself some korean and trying to find a good place for LIBRAS lessons.
3:00 he is gorgeous
I totally agree ❤
Ikr
5:16 I LOVE HIS SPANISH i think this is the first time i've seen a korean-american speaking spanish so well without having lived here in latin america or spain
I speak 3 languages and currently I’m learning the 4th one which is Korean.
At moment, I’m learning as much as I can, because I would love to interact with locals when I visit Korea.
That’s amazing, i’m sure at this pace you’ll definitely be able to chat with the local when you come to Korea
@@KExplorer Thanks mate!! 🤞🏼
도전하는 모습이 아름다워요❤화이팅!!
Great video K Explorer. Like you I speak several languages and do TH-cam videos showing that. Speaking with people around the world. Let's keep it up for a better connected world.
Well said! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Interesting video!
It is amazing how many how many languages they know (and are studying).
Thank you for sharing this!
The guy who speaks portuguese.... Damn, i thought it was a brazilian Guy. Continue with this kind of videos. I plan to go to South Korea next year for holidays
Provavelmente deve ter pais brasileiros. Falou como Brasileiro
he said that he grew up in Brazil so... he is INDEED Brazilian
@@matiasreinoso1723 Aaaah, eu entendi errado ent. Thanks paw
He’s Brazilian Korean . He’s from Brasil .
in Korean: my name is Choi Ha
In English: hi my name is Yehan
in Spanish: Holaaa me llamo JOSE 😎😎😎
lmfao my man has three different names
@@golbinnom 3 names, 3 personalities! 🤣
love that he has an hispanic name too, lol
SOV (Subject-object-verb) Languages : Korean, Japanese, Turkish, Hindi, Nepali.
SVO (Subject-verb-object) Languages : English, Spanish, French, Chinese, German, Italian, Portuguese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Malay.
SOV speakers are somewhat at a disadvantage in terms of foreign language learning. It feels like my brain is spinning counterclockwise.
German isn't SVO it's a V2-language with underlying SOV actually.
But yeah, it definitvely makes a language harder to learn, when the word order is quite unfamiliar.
SOV is more common than SVO
it's like learning a tonal language like mandarin where before you havent been exposed to any of it.
i think i speak for everyone. everyone wants to find out who is the first guy in the thumbnail

Benjamin's Spanish is pretty good 👌🏾muy buena pronunciación. Sigue así!
Love your videos! 저는 한국어를 배우고 있지만 제 한국어는 아직 잘 못해요. It’s so hard… it’s been 3 months now and the grammar is killing me haha! Keep up the good content mate!
I am surprised of how many koreans appeared speaking some Spanish. I love languages and my goal is to speak at least 10 languages in my life. Now I speak Spanish, English, French, (Brazilian) Portuguese; and I am learning Italian.
I'm American with a Hispanic background, specifically Puerto Rican. The young man who said, "when you develop an interest in movies or dramas, you tend to feel a strong desire to learn more about them," was exactly my reason to dive into Korean culture 4 years. Even though, I didn't understand a word of it, it sounded so beautiful and refined (even when they cursed🤭), and the storyline and cinematography got me hooked.
I haven't looked back ever since and now am appreciative of other East Asian cultures as well. My Netflix recommendations are now all Korean, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, etc. and I prefer watching them in their native tongue with English subtitles😊. I don't watch or listen to anything Westernized anymore.
Even though I won't have the luxury to travel to any of these places, I'm learning some of these languages for the love of it and wish I would have done so 20+ years ago if the technology today existed then. Take full advantage of all the resources we have!👍
Quite impressive!!
Wow very informative video, it's such a nice surprise that so many of them speak more than 2 languages!
I was just as surprised as well
펙트 : 외국어를 못하는 한국인들이 훨씬더 많다.
Actually not.
Excellent video bro, I speak English, Chinese, and Brazilian Portuguese and I intend to learn Korean too. I know how to read Hangul but I don't literally understand what I'm reading, but anyway Jerry, could you talk a little about how you learned Korean so quickly? Your Korean is very natural, congratulations ;)
Hey, K Explorer! It's fascinating to see so many Koreans speak different languages. This got me interested in finding out about their thoughts about Working Holiday and if that's a preferred way for them to pick up or polish their English or other languages. I'd love to find out which cities are popular destinations for Working Holiday too! Would love to see such content. :) thank you.
Amazing to hear that lady speaking Hindi!
13 years wow
The reason why I clicked this video is because I was lil curious that if someone speaks hindi or not 😂

South Korean here. I speak Korean which is my first language, and proficient in English, JLPT N2 skilled Japanese, and is Welsh a language from my maternal grandfather's hometown. I only have lived and raised here in S. Korea so I don't think there are any other languages that I feel comfortable with xD
OMG amazing that you're JPLT N2!!!
@@sakurachristineito6428Japanese and Korean share many similarities from similar sounding words to same sentence structure, so it isn’t that difficult for Korean speakers to learn Japanese, aside from probably kanji, but even Koreans learn some hanja too.
Teach me Japanese, please 😫
@@TakahashiTakami Oooh I didn't know that!! I only speak Japanese & English...Korean sounds sooo hard & foreign for me
@@sakurachristineito6428 Haha, I am slowly learning Korean, but from watching a lot of k-dramas and what not, I definitely can pick up on the similarities between both languages. Like you, I only speak English and Japanese.
Currently speak Spanish, Japanese, Navajo and Comanche - these two last ones are Native American languages
Love native Americans
Very nice and informative video! I speak French Spanish and English and am learning Japanese 😊
It’s the red tuuuube~
By Yonsei and Ewha right?
My dream is to become a polyglot but my study and retention skills are awful 😢😅
I’ve taken intro to Spanish Swhaili German Chinese and Korean. But I’ve only seriously studied Korean and Chinese which are my first focus. Yet I’m stuck as an eternal beginner lol.
It will be a life long journey and goal, but the languages on my list are the ones I mentioned before plus
Arabic, Portuguese, French, Hindi, Bengali, Russian, Thai, Japanese, Hebrew, and Hausa ~
I think it should be communicated directly with the locals of the country not simply in language!!
that way, I think I can speak the language of the country properly.
Damn! Kim Go-Eun such a good actress, she can even shapeshift! ;)
But more seriously: she was very sweet. I loved her German imitation.
In general, it is very nice to hear how popular German is.
Interesting topic!

4:02 she said "My name is Hyunjin and I have lived 13years in india. I have lived there too long so that's why I can speak hindi"
Her hindi is really really good!!
그 사람은 힌디는 정말 잘해!!!
I don’t know if this video has a skewed sample. But it definitely reflects my personal experience living in korea. For some reason I see a lot Koreans interested in learning Spanish these days. Specially in generation Z. Which is quite surprising, knowing how much people in korea love the typical blond type DiCaprio style white person. 😂 But as a Latin, it does feels nice.🫶😎
3:00 He is very very very handsome and beautiful
first guy is handsome asf

He is also tall. The interviewer Jerry is 6ft (183cm) and he is taller than him

I’m Dutch and speak 4 languages, since they really push the students to learn languages but also because my parents are Angolan/Portuguese. So I speak Dutch, English, Portuguese and French. And I can understand other languages like German, Spanish, Italian and a bit of Romanian
OMG guy @ 2.59 is super cute hes giving Sun Jae Vibes from Lovely Runner ❤

right??? would be war different if it was Korean 😭😭
He would speak Spanish then… jk
Well the guy in the thumbnail, he is tall, handsome, beautiful abs and body ratio. His voice is cute. Definitely the reasome why I watched this video =)))
경영학과에서 23살이 너무 잘생겼다
물론~ ^^ 😅😅
I can speak English
And I'm learning Japanese, Chinese and thai I think, Japanese sentence order SOV is more complicated than SVO in English and Chinese. It's so simple for SVO for example "I love u" in Chinese is 我爱你 it's pretty easy and other hand in Japanese 愛している that much complex for me 😢
Polyglot here! Here are the languages I can speak and currently learning: English, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese (Wu Chinese), Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Vietnamese, Thai, Dutch, Yoruba, Igbo
That’s an impressive cv 💪🏽
Ahnahn😂, even Yoruba and Igbo. 대단하다👍🏽
Mine are: Spanish, Italian, Dutch, German not as impressive as you though
Grappig dat je Nederlands spreekt, kan ik vragen waarom?
I'm Brazilian, I speak English and I'm learning Korean
all koreans are taught english like how most americans are taught spanish in hs but doesn’t mean they can speak it like how i can’t speak spanish😂
when you live in a country that has everything you will ever need, there's little to no need to learn anything else at all.
e.g. americans, spanish. In spain, they will even go so far as to dub every foreign movie even english so spanish people can listen instead of read.
I speak two languages but want to learn Korean, Japanese, French and Spanish.
5:18 Why I knew Ben was from LA😭🤣 Bro got that swagger
German,English,New Greek,Russian, broken Spanish, gave up learning Japanese and Navajo, still having hopes to learn some Korean:)
iit's interesting to see how some people say that they can speak a certain language and then they say only the basic sentences >
I speak English and Japanese. Learning Mandarin, Korean, Thai, and Tagalog.
Portuguese is such a difficult language to get rid of accent and He sounded so brazilian that I could tell he grew up here!
To all the Korean learners who will read this ⚠️ haven't you remarked that some words we learn from Korean textbooks or translator are rarely used by Koreans???
So English is taught all through school mandatory but so many seem to leave school not being able to speak it? Then what have they mostly learned during this time then? To read it? To understand it?
Disuki 🤗🇧🇷 5:56
As a native Spanish speaker living in LA I can attest to Benjamin's Spanish being impeccable, I'm actually surprised by how natural his accent sounds. Most Americans keep pronouncing everything in Spanish with an American accent, but he doesn't.
2:59 정해인??
average US person: I can barely speak good English
3:00 who is he 😊ig?
Ji-Seok Kim, the guy who speaks Brazilian Portuguese, is actually a Brazilian influencer who teaches Korean classes online.
It's surprising how common it is to study multiple languages outside of the United States.
the tall handsome oppa is so good looking and also cute! he seems a bit nervous tho huhu
You got to be able to speak more than 6 (world standard) or 10 more to be slam as super polyglots as for my rank standard . But I am happy at least majority can converse in an universal lingo

Uhmmmm… as a Korean immigrant, I don’t really think that much minimal foreign language skills for most in this video are fluent. I learnt Spanish for three years in school but still don’t think I speak Spanish. Or.. is this just a gen z kind of bluff? Also, the interviewees are overly concentrated to Yonsei University students, whom are more educated than most and rich enough to have early education in foreign countries.
0:23 como que José? , un coreano que se llama José 🤯
Normalize putting the @ of the thumbnail..😝
