Yeah. When I first heard a Japanese rapper in the game. I started to like Japanese hip hop and games together. Same thing with S-Word and Dabo from Def Jam vendetta Japanese version.
the thing i find with most of the japanese openings is that the songs match the games’ atmosphere so well, but not the scenes… if the old intros weren’t just cutscenes from the games put together, and instead made to match the OPs, they’d be insanely good. still love them, though. (y1 & y2 are the exception, they’re perfect) like, y3’s opening song is GORGEOUS and suits the main themes of the game so, so well. but when it’s during the scenes of like, a helicopter shooting at a builder, it feels silly… something like in je or lj would be so good. unfortunately rgg studio remakes are not known to be that high quality lmao so it’ll never exist
Its a lot harder than you'd think to compose an original song for a series of cutscenes edited together that has a different song in mind. The few that can pull that off are the real GOATED Western intros (cough Mega Man 8)
@@Nobody-xx6mmnah the videos are unchanged. i hate that recieve you reborn is entirely omitted, but burnout gets the same artist and puts it in every version for a psp game.
I don’t recommend the yakuza 3 patch, they censored dialogue from mine in the final boss when he says he loves daigo. There’s another version that just changes the music which doesn’t do that

I wish the dragon engine games + Ishin kiwami had intros when booting up the game
Looks like Gaiden and Infinite Wealth took notes on that, and hopefully future LaD/Yakuza titles would have intros too

BRO, SAME!

good
Butterfly City not fitting Yakuza 4 AT ALL is the most Yakuza 4 thing it could possibly do
For real, is so weird how well the music actually fitted LOL
the realest shit ever said
the song is actually something 😅

First time hearing the Yakuza 3 Opening. That shit is SMOOTH. I wanna go to a jazz bar rn and talk about Whiskey or smthg
I love how kenzan has an historically accurate rap beat.

Yo…. I didn’t know the Japanese opening for Dead Souls was this *FUNKY.* Holy SHIT that slaps.

I wish the English version of kiwami had the Japanese intro. Fits the game better
Its a Beautiful intro For real
Your wish is granted for the switch version.
It’ll be cool that the third and final Judgment game have a Japanese Yakuza opening. And the intro song of third Judgment would be perfect.
doesnt really need a japanese yakuza opening, what they did before with the opening being jp and west is fine
@@stonetree_ Yeah. I agreed. I like the opening of Western Yakuza better.
Yakuza 5 intro goes so hard
I feel like 5 kiwami and maybe 0 are the only ones that capture the feel of 1 and 2s intros properly
As a Japanese, I agree with this.
Last 4 are so well done
Rip BLEED
true, its such a banger wish they didnt block it
It really fits the depth of Kiryu and Nishiki’s relationship
Ishin's intro being a One Ok Rock song will forever be awesome! :D
Kyosuke Himuro was such a great choice for the game
Thank god they didn't change Judge Eyes/Judgment's intro in the English version
Ok the “IIIII RECEIVE YOU!” Syncing up with the rush style heat action in Kiwamis was FUCKIN KINO!
BUTTERFLY CITY 🔛🔝
HELL YEAHHH BUTTERFLY CITY ENJOYER 🦅🦅🦅
Y3 Loser, Y4 Butterfly City and Y0 Bubble are my top three.
I was in Tokyo when they were promoting Zero so I was hearing Bubble a lot on that trip.
Yakuza kenzan feels like samurai jack sequel
Kenzans Intro is fire
2:38 how did they not notice haruka's facial animation values resetting at the last 2 frames
I hate how they just replace the music and don't retime the intro. It takes me out of it in the English versions.

1. Copyright is a pain, and some songs like Fly fit better for Yakuza 3
2. They did timed the music to fit tho
3. Nice choice of pfp lol

Why did they change the songs. And more importantly why do the dragon engine games not have intros
Licensing
Sega didn't want to re-license the songs because these games weren't that popular outside of Japan for a long time
As for why they stopped, who knows
I heard that supposedly RGG thought the intros spoiled too much of the game, can't say I agree
shame they dont make intro nowadays,I rather the use the money for other language dub to make a great intro
Spoilers.
how is that a spoiler you moron

Don't know why, but for all games with two versions of intro i like more English intros. Japanese just doesn't hit me like English
