Regine is indeed the longest reigning vocal queen
I have listened to both the original and this version. The original version sounded like "I would shy away, live by the shadows, and shut my own world than losing you". The downward set of emotions suggests that while the person has already acknowledged the thought of losing someone, he/she is not yet ready to accept and move on. This is the standard, more like a mature way of dealing such thing, but selfish.
This version sounds like "I demand you stay with me, else, my life turns miserable." With this one the climax expresses anxiety, anger to self, and unbearable torment of knowing someone leaves for good. As a listener, I felt that this perspective sounds like blaming one's self for the outcome. Props to Mrs Alcasid and Mr Cayabyab for finding this tweak. It gave the song another meaning to ponder on - bold but like the original, selfish.
Both expressions are realities. Some people choose to show intention without the sense of hope. Others choose to exclaim the intention of saving all the chances they have. By all means, both versions serve different moods but within the same atmosphere. The differences between these versions only show that music is subjective. It always vary to which interpretation suits the listener. Ta-da.

So Hyang can belt too a higher notes and had a sustain lung power, but when it comes to emotions, realistic and feelings of the song, i can't feel her. Where in the case of Regine, she has it all.

3. And charisma. she has it all.
Divas Live hindi ninyo mahalata anh stilo ni Soyang sa pag awit, hindi natural voice ang gamit nya sa pagtira nya sa high notes, kang Regine ay natural na boses gamit nya na mag mahirap gawin, ang kay Soyang parang nag falsetto siya na parang pusa ang sound na mas madaling maabot ang taas na relax lang.
Divas Live Soyang style is twang voice not natural voice.
Reaching higher note with twang style is more easier ang relax no need muscle, it is just like making your voice sounds like a cat.
Regine is more on chest voice and natural voice it is more challenging to hit higher notes.
TWANG TECHNIQUES IS VERY POOR it cannot produce vowel words, then the lyrics is sound annoying ang noisy :)
Divas Live Regine Velasquez is 40+y/o do you think so hyang could still maintain her voice in this age?? You should compare so hyang to Arianna Grande, Morissette Amon etc. Not to professional and legendary singer.

2018 Regine at the movies, sigaw ng sigaw sa “It might be you version”.. halata sa mukha ni Regine na di gusto pero siya nag adjust.

Ang earpiece ay ginagamit ng mga singers para mas marining pa nila ang kanilang minakanta para hindi mawala sa tono.
Ginagamit yun ng ibang artist to help them hear themselves better sincr maingay sa venue and maraming sounds ang nagsasabayan pero need not ni Regine gumamiymt since kabisado nya boses nya and matalas pandinig nya
