    I appreciate this video and information so much! I love how youre stating the facts and giving advice but not saying what is right or wrong. My midwife is very adamant at giving the IV. She said there's no way to get rid of it. Basically not telling me any other option. I still have 4 weeks and believe I can get rid of it. I would feel so horrible having my child who doesnt have a gut microbiome take antibiotics right away. That poor 7 pound being cant handle that. I have faith in a holistic approach. And the odds of something bad happening without the iv is less than what the antibiotics will give them. A bad start and poor immune system. Thanks again

      @@lightnoir6914 unfortunately everything didn't work out how I prayed for. I took the antibiotics because the doctors popped my water since I was two weeks late. I was in labor for 2 days. Then had to get an emergency C section 🙄
      Butt. My baby is completely healthy. Although I wanted a vaginal birth for many reasons. If I knew I had to get a C section. I wouldn't have taken the antibiotics 🤯. So thAt was unnecessary all together. But one thing you learn in birth is that there's somethings you can't control. There's a lot of letting go.

    Thank you for this video! I tried talking with my doctor about other options and she totally dismissed them. I am going to use the hebi cleanse wash recommend by a midwife. Sadly my state has a war on midwives and the nearest ones are 2-6 hours away and you have to pay out of pocket. Im nervous about how i will be treated when refusing antibiotics in the hospital. Was very interesting to hear that Europe does not treat that way unless high risk.

    Currently at 37w of pregnancy. This my second pregnancy. The first one I miscarriage due to belighted ovum. N detected as gbs carrier after my miscarriage since have abnormal discharge (after the baby out). Is it consider I lost my first baby due to gbs or not? Since i plan not to take iv drip antibiotics before delivery.

    I am GBS positive at 37 weeks, I really am hoping for a non medicated natural birth. I am planning to take probiotics and vitamin C. Can I request re-test around 39 weeks and is it allowed in the US hospitals to deny antibiotics and rather opt for monitoring your newborn ?

    • @thewellnessfamily
      @thewellnessfamily  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes! Anything is allowed!! YOU are the patient! YOU are paying your doctor. They have no control over you - just remember that! I would totally recommend that. Retest at 39 weeks, and hopefully you'll be negative and won't have to worry too much!

    They just administer antibiotics before labor. Doctors didn’t make a big deal of it and I have been on antibiotics for other things so many times that it doesn’t even matter.

    That’s four in 10,000 not one in 10,000. A minuscule amount, but still, the easiest thing to calculate out of the stats you gave and you said the wrong amount. Lol

    I suggest listening to what your OB says and take the IV antibiotics. Really. Don’t play games with that.

    • @thewellnessfamily
      @thewellnessfamily  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I'm not advocating you don't listen to your OB. Im advocating you do your own research and know the full picture because your OB may not tell you the full picture. And there are thousands of OBs around the world that would NOT recommend you get antibiotics even if you test positive for GBS. I had very competent midwives deliver my babies and neither recommended antibiotics for GBS+

    If you take your antibiotics IV you CAN take the probiotics for you AND baby. Plz do not spread fear mongering ideals for moms.

    • @thewellnessfamily
      @thewellnessfamily  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      yes you're right, you can take probiotics, and i would definitely recommend you do if you take antibiotics! but that alone is not going to just fix everything the antibiotics destroyed. it can take up to two years for all of your body's microbiomes to fully recover after a course of antibiotics. so its not something you want to take lightly!

      can oms still give birth through vagina?

  • @siminav575
    @siminav575 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Also its not for everyones body. There are moms who ARE high risk!!! Jesus. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 woman. Are you an actual doctor???? I am pretty sure my sister who’s a NICU nurse has seen enough to tell me what most babies suffer with- NOT ONE had issues bc the mom took antibiotics. Plz be careful mommas where you get your information. Speak to your OB and talk to your midwifes bc every mother and every baby is different

    • @thewellnessfamily
      @thewellnessfamily  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      No, I'm not a doctor, and I never claim to be. But I do want to help woman make INFORMED decisions, because many doctors do not help their patients make informed decisions. They just tell patients what to do and that is not fair to moms or babies, especially when there are risks involved with treatment (with every treatment, there is going to be benefits and risks).

    • @zozaazz8044
      @zozaazz8044 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      SHe does mention that in high risk cases in birth and other situations in life antibiotics are justified. No need to panic and misquote a person just because you need to let you anger out somewhere.
