Sofia isn't going to kill Oz's mother. She's going to make Oz confess what he did to his brothers. His mother's hatred will make Oz suffer far worse than her death. It might even be enough to make Oz kill his mother himself.
YES! I thought this too. And he turns into a monster (figuratively not literally) isn’t he eyes of the people. It’s part of my theory on what could happen. She berates him for what happened to his brothers. And as we’ve seen he snaps when he is looked down on or insulted. Look what he did to Sofia. She, out of anger over realizing her dad has been lying to her, yelled at him to be quiet and that he’s just a driver. And with his mom going off on him he puts hands on her and that’s all of whatever so called good he has. Giving some of what Sofia wants. I have more to my theory that results in Oz going to Arkham.
In the promo for episode 8, it shows Sofia saying (to what looks like Oz's mother) "I know what I lost, what he took from me ..." Her next words will be "Do you know what you lost, what he took from you?" And she tells Oz's mother how he betrayed her. Just like Sofia told Oz's girlfriend how Oz betrayed her and her girls to turn her against him.
also i mentioned on someone else’s video but about the manipulation. i think that yes the mom is definitely not innocent but also it really seemed to start because after her son’s died she couldn’t take it and said the only way to go on was to have a better life. so Oz killing his brothers and lying about it was him also originally manipulating his mom

I feel like no one is talking about how creepy Oz is toward his mom. Big Oedipus Rex vibes with how jealous he gets of anyone close to her plus when he lays in bed with her as an adult, he cuddles her like a lover aka spooning.
