@@Maangchi Thank you for this lovely, simple recipe! I would love to make it, but where would I obtain kimchi in Leicester, UK? Can it be bought at Sainsburys, or a Chinese shop?
Maangchi Kim I love watching your show. I learned alot about Korean food, even though I've never eaten Korean food ever in my life. (I haven no Korean restaurants in my location). But I will try to make Kimchi one day, it looks very delicious . Thank you!
It’s definitely soup season, I have been enjoying vegetable soups lately. And, I noticed it was filmed 9 years ago, still the very best delicious recommendation and always!!!
I live in Panama and it's a lot different from going to Koreatown Manhattan for a great lunch every day. There is an excellent Asian market here in Paittia Panama City were I bought a can of Penguin canned mackerel and found you after looking up a recipe to use it. I found your Camping Stew and WOW! The ingredients were easy to get here. It was simple and easy to cook. I can't believe I made a delicious dish that reminded of my favorite jigeas of 32nd street Thank you so much!
I tried this dish yesterday, I couldn't find corean canned mackerel so I used italian one...but the result was amazing! I love kimchi and hot pepper paste. Very good with some fresh steamed rice.
This is great! Where i come from, canned mackerel is a popular dish which i've eaten with sliced cucumbers, onions, and squeezed lemon! This is an AWESOME recipe and the ingredients are not hard to find! I love love LOVE your channel Maangchi!

This channel is loaded with personality as well as useful and succinct technique. This soup looks way too spicy for us but I adore kimchi and this traditional French spouse I am married to will usually try at least a bit of something different -- even if only a few bites. I am always prepared for him not to eat it and have nearly always figured out ways to use the leftovers for other things or myself alone. This is probably a winner for camping and hiking because people usually really build up an appetite. Uprated happily -- bless you! :)
I love Korean food even though I was not eating in my life, but I like it It seems very delicious If you put a little spice will look like the tastiest Is not it?
I'm really your fan now maangchi! Just came from Korean store here in Robson St Vancouver and got lots of Korean stuff:D thank you you're so adorable to watch:D By the way I made kimchi last week and it turns out really good. I love it in my fried rice. And I made it with eggs in soy broth yummmm:)
I love this recipe. I Was thinking about cooking a beef stew for the next time I went backpacking and then I Saw this. I'll definitely be making this in the future. For your viewers, many of the "specialty" ingredients for your recipe, Like Canned Mackerel, Gochujang, and Kimchi are available on amazon.com. Im gonna use canned sardines for this
It sounds great to me. Good luck!

Very nice. Does the mackerel still have the intestinal tract in there?
Black Mamba ZA
No, the fish is gutted and cleaned before canning.
