The 55 from American graffiti,is the same car used in two lane blacktop!
454 :)))))))
Great work you two. We are 70 and after 51 years married still love working on projects together. Love your energy and trial and error methods, just like us. 😊
Thank you so much guys for actually answering my question on your channel! My question was the first one, and to hear you say my name, was fantastic!!!!!!!!! I love watching the chemistry that you both bring to your videos. I think Dany, you're an amazing all-around mechanic/ fabricator. And Olivia, if every woman acted the way you are with cars and the love you show, for Dany the divorce rate would be gone!
The 55 Chevy from 2 Lane Black Top is the same 55 Chevy in American Graffiti. They painted it Gloss Black and put the stock doors with the window's back on it for America Graffiti
That's way cool!
I agree with Olivia that a 68 Charger is the best year. Thanks for the insight into this build!
68 thru 70 Charger my favourites ... my brother has built a 71 Nova (real SS) with a NASTY 427 and 5 speed. He also has a 69 Camaro nearing completion, I think that car is about the prettiest car to ever come out of Detroit.
I’m glad that an old-school small block Chevy is going in the 56.
Hot rod power couple right here! 💪🏻
Great job on the charger!!! Thanks for sharing your tribulations sad about the money but the joy of being so close to the finish...and who can complain about new boxes of parts ❤
Speaking on what you would like to be doing in 5 years. Danny as long as you have Olivia with you.. I’m there! She is the coolest and yeah.. just so cool! 😂❤❤
With those thin seat pads both of you are gonna have hemorrhoids by the time you return. Preperation H works really well for
that 🙂 The car is looking great! I cant wait to see the finished product. Regards from Ody Slim
🤣
Prep H to go fast! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Definitely the shoebox from Two-Lane Blacktop 🏁
U2 are the best ….Olivia I’m from Winnipeg, Canada is a great place, nice to hear that your from here
Dan I would use 3/8 bolts
Yes Sir!!!
Yes sir
@GnarlySpeedShop 🤣 That's kind of my way of checking in. I leave a like and the yes Sir as a comment. I figure it helps the algorithm and helps the channel. Love the content, keep it coming 👌
Keep at it you’ll getter done
Thanks for the positive vibes 🤙
You guys should put on a car show in the fall I’m from Vegas like to attend
Sure appreciate you two. As a drag car, please consider the left to right weight distribution for good even hookup. Driver weight left side offset by battery on passenger side, and even moving the gas tank to right of center to balance the car when traveling because Olivia is much lighter LOL. Moving the battery further back from axle will also help with even hookup. 😏
55 from both of those movies is the same car. Dennis Taylor just interviewed the owner on Sick Summer
hey Danny if you haven't already try sitting in your Dream Car Vette the early cars are not so roomie for a bigger guy , if you have a center punch it would make your drilling experiences so much better and an automatic center punch makes it even easier, keep up the good work love the channel 👍
I Wish I had a partner like Olivia to work on cars with!😊
Loved the highway speed then jail.
i love seeing this type of stuff you guys are doing a great job i cant wait till its done
I just recently found your channel and have been beige watching all of your videos. Great channel! You all have motivated me to start working on my 69 Z28 I have had for years. Thanks for the great inspiration and information you all share!
Damn that charger is coming together. looking good you two.
Thanks for your video Danny and Olivia.
💯👊👍💕
You should see if you could tour some of California’s speed shops and film those.
it would be really cool if you guys get near springfield oregon to stop and visit mark worman owner at graveyard carz, maybe since you have a little time before you go up to contact him for maybe a possible interview there at graveyard carz, what a weekly video content that would bet mark worman would love your 68 charger. anyway just a thought! great progress guys
Hmm maybe you could do a collab with Mike Finnigan on the headers?? He's making his own for his caddy project.
Hey guys have a great trip and watch out for sharks 😂🤙🍻
😳
Safe travels
IDIDIT. Great Michigan company. I used to live less than a mile from there.
Hell yeah we want to see the pcp challenge! 😀
You got it 🔫
Wow that's some cool up grades 👍🏻you should have No problem emptying that fuel cell 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
Hey Danny you should follow bradinches advice and bolt or weld those seats to the roll bar.👍🏼☺️
‘68 is the King!! 👑🔥
Nope 70 all day long
@@not4you201 haha… not even close… love second gens but the ‘68 is far superior, then the 69, and the 70 is a distant third…
Don’t forget the unique sound of a Mopar. Exhaust and starter.
The 55 in American Graffiti IS one of 55 Chevys used in Two Lane Blacktop !!! ❤
Watch out when you dip into the Mopar world. The purists are prowling to pounce at any mistake. Super cool Charger!
2500 miles equals 40 plus hours in the seat. Top five - Polyethylene Sheet for those seats - universal A/C kit - window tint - insulation - sound system/ear plugs. I added all these to my 68 Charger, benefits outweigh the cost.
When you guys head up north let me know when you come to the bay area. I’ll run with you for a while.
Thanks for the insight into your lives. Love your channel.
I've owned moparsand very fast ones 71demon 10 second car 69 charger 10 80 second 1/4 mile owned 56 chevs which I think are the hottest of the 50s chevy I love the curves I think you guys just have fun with what you love and just enjoy what you are doing
I love your guys energy. Thank you 😮
along with ALL the seat belts, be safe
Recommendation frame connectors in a roll cage a 6-point cage would be sufficient that would strengthen the car up considerably
68 best year! Nice grill
Olivia ...you are the first person that i have heard say that her favorite classic movie is Hot Rod, i love that movie. my number 2 is two lane blacktop. now that you are into mopar, the movie Vanishing point is classic. your channel is great
I like what your doing, keep it up,
Ditto that. Y'all are killin it!
One thing tho, why not spray bomb the floors & engine bay satin black to match the panels before you install stuff. It would be Sharp. & Done! 😎👍
@@BillyJoeJimBob28 I dont know, i kinda like the crusty old car look.
Id Love to be broke like you two.
Hey Olivia I'm surprised you didn't say The Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am. I heard an interview once and you said you really liked it. Keep up the great work on the Charger.
Thanks for sharing the updates on the Charger, the seats and steering wheel look great, may have to get a full seat cushion to add on your long road trips.
I love how you both are involved in the build. I think that is rare and special. It's a dream of mine to find someone to do the same but on a smaller scale to do basic maintenance/upgrades together.
Would you guys consider making a calendar showing your car collection and yourselves, heck even Hawaii and California scenery places you've been, Tiki Bar, even Short Stack, just something creative from you guys. It would be an easy sell for me and I think others would agree. Thoughts?
Take care guys, safe travels to/from Hawaii, have a great time!🍻
My favorite cars from movies the 68 charger and the 68 mustang of course on Bullit and the 55 on two lane black top and American Graffiti, the Challenger on Vanishing point, I got my 68 charger R/T 440 4 spd Danna 60 on the back in the Garage.
Thanks for sharing, you guys are killing it 💪. Great content 👍.
you guys need to do some collabs
The charger looking really good can't wait to see it done and see y'all banging those gears. 👍😎
Danny went totally spider monkey drilling the seat😅...control that coffee intake bro.
Yeah but it's a mopar and it's gonna be worth more than any chevy so it will be ok❤
So true 👍
Only if you put a Chevy engine on it.
That's only cause it's heavier. You'll get more in scrap 🤣🤣🤣
Progress Rocks! Nice work guys it's really coming along. As far as the bracket to hold the steering column, if you haven't done so, check Flaming River. I found what I needed through them for my Chevelle. Good luck!!
Bring an extra suitcase to drag all the tiki's back to Cali ^^ , have fun !!!
Love your videos keep it up the two of you are so good together love Lukas ❤
This is a really great channel, I’m saddened to see however that y’all don’t have no more subscribers than what ya do! 😢
Reminds me when 2002 doing my 73 Camaro.. was so happy at the same point!!❤👍👍
Google fuel cell waffle balls. Better than foam. They are special waffle balls made for fuel cell baffling.
I just looked into those. We night go that route. Thanks 👍
@@GnarlySpeedShop no prob, I did too. They don’t break down and plug filters like foam. Love your channel!
Nice Job. You guys are awesome!!
Lovin the build of the 68, but I was wonderin 🤔those seat brackets are Left and Right specific for either side of the seat itself. That maybe why one side is higher than the other
That thing is gonna weigh more like 4,200. Big trans, big axle, full cage.
I got a 25-gallon tank on a built 350, I'm lucky if I get 150 miles. Forget about street, thing gobbles it up..
Love the seats, great Q&A session.
She likes the Willys from the movie hot rod ?!! Where did find her ? Does she have a sister ? Wow ! Most people don't even know about that car or movie . I love y'all's mix of old skool meets modern !
Nice project and really making progress . Can’t wait to see it completed but very well knowing it takes time/money/ patience. I have built 6 cars in my garage thru the years but older now and I just buy them done. Latest one 72 SS 454 El Camino that only need a couple mechanical upgrades to make it right.
Olivia when using power tools always keep your hair out of the way, ponytail, anything to keep it back a hat, and Danny just mentioned as I am trying to write this.
Would you ever put up the numbers on the charger ? Cost to buy and build
tall Daytona Wing or RIOT!!! just kiddin' hope it goes well with ur build
you guys had to have known that the charger is the most expensive car to redo
That is going to be a sweet 68 Charger I had a 68 Charger light green metallic 383 Auto with the bucket seats in the floor console. Mine wasn't a quarter mile race car I've been lucky if I had to turn 14 teens with it good luck with it I hope you haven't done a Time
Love Olivia your a great couple
I bet that grill was a pretty penny 30 years ago I probably had a dozen of those original ones
Nice progress both of yall much respect
327 with Muncie 4 speed. Trad 56 Chev. Paint the stars and stripes on the hood. Pretty Please. Loving the chat. Hi from New Zealand.
Shes coming together fast! Can't wait to see her with a hood 🤙🍻
Don't forget to de-burr the holes you drilled in your aluminum seats..👍
When you relocate a battery you're supposed to put it on the passenger side rear to offset the driver's weight.
Just a thought why not figure out what size 2 barrel carburetor would be compatible with that big block to use on your trip till you get there and then maybe put the four barrel on when you're out there when you get there
Beautiful!!!
Im guessing that car is close to 3500 lbs when done.
MOPAR OR NO CAR BABY!!!!!! LOL
For shure 1968 is a good year, much happend back then even i was born =D I really hope your wallet will recover soon again, I really love you guy's a ton, Danny is a awesome individiual as are you dear Olivia you guy's are soooo nice together and can't help it, but you two together as a dreamteam makes me emotional and teared up of happiness sometimes, Thank you so much for this video and also your mountain trip on the 150cc ride. Love
G force 5 speed it will go right in the 56 427 sbc stroker
Pay off those credit card bills every mouth so you aren't paying high finance charges. Good way to fall deep into debit.
Love it guys ♥️✌️
What a great video, I really enjoyed watching it, you two rock. Liv really made me laugh when she said you'll be traveling with wet paint. Charger is looking awesome. And so does liv. Lots of love from pa ❤❤❤
You have to put wood blocks on the pedal
My dream car/s 1957 Chevy’s
hi just finshed watching the ep before you put the seats and fuel cell in the truck you should of got the car repainted back to hemi orange .
You guys make a good couple.
My favorite car is Christine
As always great content, maybe answer one question if all possible on most upload. But understand not every posting. But make no mistake love car, but enjoy all your postings 👍🏽
So cool !
Great vid!!!!!! 🤜🤛
I paid 30,000 for a project 69 charger, rust free.
I have always wanted to visit California but i`m afraid by now the politicians there have messed California up so bad I have no desire to go there now as I couldn`t afford it.
@JohnLittle-ze7sp The libbies have ruined such a beautiful state!
