@@Gaptiste It's obviously better than v1 but it doesn't justify the price at all. If you remove functions, it would be normal to lower the costs. The rgb, side buttons, charging dock and charging port are not free.

Just buy the viper ultimate if you want features, the viper v2 pro is for competitive gaming. The sheer engineering to get the mouse down to 58 grams with proper weight balance and the build quality as well as the novelty that comes with being the lightest gaming mouse avaible to the generel public. The people who are bashing razer for this are the same people who was praising logitech when the superlight came out, their whole argument is based on fallacies wheter they like it or not.
A welcome addition that hopefully sparks even more competition. Just not my shape and not my cup of tea software wise but. Glad you monsters who enjoy this shape have a modern version.
Man, I’ve been waiting for this ever since the leaks. Can’t wait for the comparison with the superlight, since I’m thinking of replacing it. The superlight coating just get discolored over time quickly.
My Viper Ultimate in the Mercuy Edition looks brandnew despite using it daily for over a year. Even the texture is still there. Can't imagine it being different with this one.
One mouse is $80 (Best Buy Amazon) one is $150. The $80 have more features same body the other barley anything to say it’s 150. The V2 should be a maximum of $100 and no where near worth a upgrade. Comparing ultimate to the V2
the v1 is inconsistent, I replaced mine with the GPX after almost 2 years. Side grips went bad, battery was lasting less than 2 days even with RGB turned off, it would disconnect at random times, and the charging dock wouldn't charge the mouse anymore. Loved the grip though, it is far more comfortable than the GPX as I'm a fingertip user.
Thanks to the release of Viper V2, I just got Viper Ultimate with the dock at a very good discounted price here in AU at about USD $80. I cannot imagine I spent double that price to get the V2,
This mouse looks like an awesome release. Two days ago I searched multiple websites but there was no mouse. Luckily they have it on amazon today! I already have the Viper Ultimate, so I don't feel like spending more money any time soon. Awesome Video!
If it had a dpi button on the top it'd be perfect for me if they make a wireless viper mini and keep the dpi button on the top I'd buy it in a heartbeat
I have the viper 8k and as a lefty losing those right sided ambidextrous buttons for 10k more dpi really doesn't seem worth it, especially at 150. Let me know when the viper v3 comes out lol
Love your vids! One of my favourite tech reviewers! This could be better than the g pro super light but I’m not 100% sure, I know that logitech’s mouse has a really safe shape that a lot of people enjoy using so it’s probably down to preference and mouse grip.
Hey Techne, please help me sort this out, is the Viper V2 Pro compatible with an Xbox Series X, am really lost right now with those wireless variations of mouses but being restricted due to console compatibility. If it's compatible, will it's features work as well, like the new sensors/ fast response? Thanks in advance and stay blessed!!! 💚🙏🏽🌞
All the people saying that they are charging more for less. Do you people have any idea of how much R&D goes in making the weight saving and decisions and not to mention an entirely new sensor and the design changes internally and externally. These things cost a lot of money before they even start production
Fantastic review as always. Can always rely on Techne for a fantastic review. To be honest though, This mouse has me conflicted. Of course if a manufacturer cuts out enough features they can make their product weigh less. And by doing so it probably costs the manufacturer a lot less money to produce the product. But, Rather than pass those savings on to the consumer they cut manufacturing prices in half and instead of reduce price for the consumer they charge us almost double for the product? At least the Viper Ultimate came with a charging dock at the $150 price which is often on sale at Best Buy between $77-$100 and that is with the charging dock. Personally, I think they should charge maybe slightly more than the Viper Ultimate without the Charging Dock. So, Maybe $100 at most. But, At $150? Not so sure.
I wonder if it is actually less expensive to manufacture, since the thinner shell would probably be harder to manufacture and have lower yields. Material costs ( as in the amount of plastic used to make the mouse) barely accounts for most of the cost so that wouldn't be a reason for it to be cheaper to manufacture. Although i agree the price is probably too high and razer are taking a fat profit margin (Which we can see based on the sale price of their products).
I think the structural changes that resulted in most of that weight loss of the mouse is the removal of the charging dock section, smaller battery, removal of RGB and grips, and removal of buttons more so than some thinner plastic.
I have the superlight and the viper v2 pro. I play with one that seems to me the best than switch to other and become the new best and so i do all day....
Guys I just ordered my v2 pro but after that I read bunch of comments that people said the dongle is not working for them. Is there any solution? does it happen randomly or it will happen for all? Last but not least, should I change my order ro gpro x superlight instead of v2 pro because of dongle issue? please help me.🙏🏻
