The OEM is only available for Subaru. But for gr86 owners, we can buy the part from subaru and have it installed. Folding mirrors are only available for the Premium Trims in US. But here in Japan, even the RC and Cup Car has them.
@@39gjapan what we really need is a module to to auto-lock and unlock the doors when the vehicle moves off and when we stop the engine.. its confusing why subaru/toyota didn't do this yet my Mums hyundai and many other late model cars do.
Can you also show how to make the door courtesy light works? I have the base model too and bought a projector gr light but when I plugged it in there's no light 😂

Make sure you have that mirror folding button. Mods Society claims that this is not compatible with LHD Base models.

This part only allows you to auto fold them when lock/unlocking the car.
If you dont have the motorized mirrors, this will not work for you.

Theres a company in Australia that has now integrated windows roll up with the side mirrors folding in.. I have it on order.
Its this same company. They have them too. I have it but getting held back on video edits..

Mine is actually a base model. But unfortunately LHD base models don't have a retracting motor in the side mirrors.

I’m not sure. Japan doesn’t offer Sequoia locally. So aftermarket parts should be plenty in the US
Unfortunately this doesn't work with the USDM version since it doesn't have the motor to do the auto folding.

Yeah won’t work on US Spec. Only works for models that already have a button on top of the knob to adjust mirrors
There is no way to currently convert a USDM car to have auto folding mirrors.
So the USDM GR86BRZ doesnt have a function to fold the mirrors manually with a push of a button?
@johhnnn I have a base model and it has a button to manually fold the mirrors with a switch above the mirror adjuster toggle. Check the timeline 02:16

Yes only need one. Only the driver side.

Yes. You just install them on the driver side. (But only for those equipped with the closing side mirror button)
