    When I was in the army we would dump our 5 ton trucks by picking up the entire front end with a loader. Having said that we would play chicken with loaders and try to flip the other guy over. Nothing really mattered!

    I have a Kubota L-2501 and My Neighbor has the next size down the BX -2800
    I use to offer Him the use of My PTO driven implements and He usually declines politely.
    Since watching numerous TH-cam Videos I don't offer anymore
    Why, because of the possible need to cut down the PTO shaft
    I have the 3 Point Quick Connect Adapter and so far I have not needed to cut any down
    I did get the WC-68 Wood Chipper and the WG-24 Stump Grinder this past week and they are still in their crates
    Loaning is nice but I don't want to damage His Tractor nor do I want to cut the PTO shaft down just so I can loan it out

      I had been looking at them for a couple of years
      I looked at the Baumalight and the Woodland Mills
      Recently I went and looked at the Baumalight and it is now $3,700 plus shipping
      It was about the same price as the Woodland Mills but it still $2,399 plus $349 shipping
      So, the $2,999 for the WC-68
      I bought a 5 foot County Line Tiller last year off a Tractor Supply sale.
      I did have to shop multiple Tractor Supply stores in Florida to find the lowest price plus find one that had one in stock
      The local Tractor Supply wanted $1,499 and they would have to order it and charge Me another $113 for delivery
      I found one in stock 90 miles away for $1,299 so I drove to that Tractor Supply and bought it and they fork lifted it into My Pickup
      So I saved $200 plus $113 plus their sales tax for that county was cheaper
      That same 5 foot tiller today $2,800 at Tractor Supply
      That is Double what I Paid out the door
      So, I bought both for about $6,150 before those prices Doubled
      They were delivered on a Truck that used a lift gate and pallet jack to put it in My yard.
      Yes I have the pallet forks, but their metal pallets are not like wooden pallets and I tipped the WG-24 on its side
      I was able to roll it back upright
      Glad it wasn't the Chipper at over 800 pounds
      I already have at least six stumps and three large Oak trees to bring down
      They want over $400 to grind a large stump so 8 times $400 is $3,200 just for grinding stumps
      I have no idea what chipping 3 large tree branches would cost but it looks like they are going to earn their keep before they leave the crates

      @MyClutteredGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kennethrini2932 I don't even have that many trees on my property and amazed at the piles of brush and limbs that I need to clean up and chip each year. You'll always have a need for that chipper! Sounds like you've done some great shopping!

      I found out by accident that Tractor Supply stores have different prices.
      I had to use the internet to find the zip codes for each store and entire that zip code to make that store MY STORE in the system
      Tractor Supply wouldn't allow Me to buy them on line though.
      I had to confirm it was actually IN STOCK and then drive there and buy it on site.
      We have several Rental properties in lots over an acre each and those lots use to be Farm land with a lot brush and old trees
      I am looking at the Westendorf Grapple that has no hydraulic system needed
      I don't need a large Grapple since the L-2501 has a lower lift capacity which I found out last year when We had a Large tree taken down.
      It could not lift a 4 foot section of the trunk with My pallet forks because it was so big around
      Even cut in half it was tough lifting it.

    BUY A SPUD WRENCH, and keep it on the tractor. ESPECIALLY if you don't have/use a quick hitch. Even if you do use a quick hitch, because not all implements are quick hitch compatible. You use the handle of the spud wrench to line up the holes when attaching implements to the 3pt lift arms. Thank me later.

    I hate to say it Ed, but I think I made a mistake buying the b2601. When I was looking for a tractor, I wanted something small with a loader backhoe. Looking through all the companies like LS, Mahindra, Deere etc. I figured a compact tractor is what I needed. The b2601 seemed to be a perfect fit. The problem is I'm not a farmer and the backhoe is not very good. Then recently I saw a video on the B26 so I looked it up on Kubotas site (which was not easy to find because it was in the construction section instead of compact tractors.) The B26 is an actual loader backhoe that's small but is a lot more robust. You can still remove the backhoe and put on other implements if you choose. Don't get me wrong, the b2601 is a good machine, it just is what it is, a farm tractor that you can add implements. I really wish I would have known about the B26 :(

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh man! I'm sorry to hear that. I guess it all depends on your use. Well, it will retain value for sure - and if you find a buyer minus the backhoe, maybe we can work something out.

    Curious, I'm in the market for a chipper and the woodland mills would be the unit. Why would you not burn that pile? a six pack and many stories later you and phil would be done. I ask myself that question and cant come up with a good answer

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. I’ve burned many a pile of brush and do enjoy it. Technically, we are not allowed to burn here. Additionally, the wood chips make great trail bedding or mulch. They also break down into nice compost much faster than a pile of brush. I use that chipper more than I ever even expected. Thanks for watching!
