Peugeot 308 Cylinders misfire EP6 2007-2014

  • In this episode, I wanted to share with you the replacement job of the fuel injectors unit in Peugeot 308 1.6L 2011 - after many attempts of discovering what could be the real problem while i was getting a misfire in Cylinders 2 and 4, and many in cylinder 4 only!
    Here is the definite solution in the video!!
    The job is not hard and is doable with some minor tools needed.
    The new fuel injectors unit would cost around 200 USD

    Thank you for your video. I have a peugeot 207 1.4 vti with codes P0011 and P1338. I changed the spark plugs, cleaned both solenoids and switched them. It didnt solve the issue but P0011 (solenoid inlet) code became P0014 (solenoid exhaust). Can the solenoid on the exhaust side be faulty and cause the problem? The engine has no power and is rattling

      Hey mate
      Sometime when you switch the solenoids the fault does switch but it could not be the problem with the solenoid.
      I recommend to replace all injectors.

    Hi. I've got the p1340 fault code on my citroen c4 picasso 1.6 vti (combustion misfiring on cylinder 4). I've swapped the injectors from my mini cooper r56 to the citroen, and still the same error code and the same cylinder misfiring. The ones that I've put on the mini from the citroen work perfectly. Then I've replaced the coils, then the spark plugs (3 times), then the vanos solenoids (new), then swapped the cams sensors from my mini, then a new coolant temp sensor, the timing chain, new fuel pump, new upstream o2 sensor, and i still get the same code, and it's running rich because every time I check the spark plugs, they're black. If i start the car and keep it revd up or i drive it straight away, the engine works perfectly. No misfiring, no error code. But if i start the car and leave it idling, in about 15 seconds it's misfiring, the radiator fan kicks in at full blast, and it triggers the error code again. I don't know what the f to change anymore.

      Hey mate. It is hard I get you, I have done the same process but at the end swapped out all injectors including the channel.
      Could you plug a pressure gage in cylinder 4 and check the pressure reading when trying to start the car? Do the same on cylinder 3 and compare the readings. I don't know if you might have bent valves and is causing the problem.
      Check this cheers mate!
      Also if you could get a whole channel including injectors (wrecking parts) and be aware of the injectors head colours to match with the ones you had originally on your Citroen.

      @goprodoit the compression is the same on all cylinders. I think it's the camshaft variator sprockets. If i start the engine and drive the car straight away, the engine runs fine at higher rpm, and it doesn't trigger any fault codes. If I leave the engine to idle, it misfires and in 10-15 seconds it triggers the p1340 fault code. It was the same with the old injectors as well.

    I watched your entire video, I did it all except the injector, it didn't happen, the 4 cu coil does not work, but there is ignition. 3 of the motor bobbins are working 4 when I pull the dunth there is no reaction respects

    Hey there i got Peugeot 308T9 2014, having misfires and low compression 40 psi in only cylinder no 3, i only changed the spark plug but no different, 1 mechanic said its electric fault and 2nd one said repair or replace the engine i need your advise please shall i change all the injector to give a try ?? Waiting your kind advise, thanks again

      Hey mate, you should change the ignition coil on cylinder 3 or swap it out with another coil on cylinders 1 or 2 and check the scanner if the misfires changed to the new cylinder. Then if problem not solved, check the injector on cylinder 3 or if you can swap them out all three it would be better. Lastly before replacing the engine, you could have a bent valves on cylinder 3 or could be the timing chain.

    Postovani svidija mi se vas video dosta poucan molio bi da mi odgovorite naima na 308 vti 1,4 peugotu poli se check lampica i ujedno se tad upali ventilator i to kad je motor ugrijan na dijagnostic i greska treceg cilindra minjana bobina i svijcice ali nista nije dalo rezultata moze li to biti do injektora u leru na hladno radi normalno hvala pozzz

      @@lenkomarcic9728 hvala razumeo sam da imate zastoj paljenja na 3 cilindru jel to to? bilo koji kvar motora u vašem automobilu će pokrenuti ventilator da skoči na maksimalnu brzinu, tako da ne brinite o tome. shvatio sam da si promijenio i svjećicu i injektor? je li problem riješen?

      @@goprodoithvala na odgovoru naime promjenjene su svjecice bobina s treceg minjana na cetvrti cilindar opet se isto desava pali se chech lampica i ventilator nakon nekog vrimena u leru i dok se lampica ne upali radi normalno ujedno prominjen i katalizator osta jos injektor prominit to nisan pa me interesira moze li to biti do injektora odnosno dizni fala lipa i ugodan dan

    Hi great video, I have a similar issue on my partner, cylinder 2 misfire. We changed injectors, sparks etc, brand new motor, but p1338 cylinder 3 keeps on coming. Motors runs on 3 legs after 30 sec. Could it be the bar it self at cause? That's the only thing we didn't change in the injection system. What do you think?

      Hey mate
      Most probably you need to change all injectors together with the channel bar.
      That would solve the issue

      @@goprodoit Thank you for your answer. We changed all injectors. Peugeot thought they solved it. But still coming back after motor running a few minutes. Might check Camshaft sensor. But can't really find any solution on the web. Will keep you updated, this could help people if I solve it... Have a great week

      @@raphaele735 thank you for messaging back. I wouldn’t think that the sensor is causing this problem. Timing chain could be the trigger.

    Hello i was lookimg this problem like 6 mounts. i even remove katalitic conventer. i ll try this. But i have one more problem. When i start engine and drive , in 50 meters engine make very bad noice like somethinks hits inside and wont get gasoline. Do you know the solution?

    hello I have pegeot 308 .1,6 gasoline 4 cu cylinder does not work the engine works as if it will fall diyer 3 cylinder is in good condition.I changed the coil did not grang censor I did not have now the sound of the fence fence in the engine of the car , what do you think I should do, I did everything in your video, I just did not change the injector, I would love it if you could help

      @@nevzatkayhan5278 hey mate, did you change all spark plugs? You said you changed the coils?
      I recommend changing the spark plugs all of them, and then for the coils, swap them or replace them. If you are still having the misfire problem I believe you need to replace all injectors and get good ones.

      @@goprodoit I changed 4 spark plugs. I changed one coil. I changed the crank sensor that did not work. The problem is the same but I did not change the injectors. Thank you very much for your answer.

      I bought INJECTOR CLEANER today, I filled it all into the tank, it worked for 1 hour, as a result my car is fixed, thank you very much for your help. Best regards.

      iskusni majstori kazu da se to desava kad padne sjedalo ventila.potrebno provjeriti kompresiju na tom cilindru kad je topao motor.
      nije skupo za probati čistač ventila.evo ti link.

      Hello this could be related to the spark plugs or ignition coils or could be the engine oil.

    I hava an indication check engine for dipollution system fault. By the way my car goes good. Is it serious? My car has petrol and LPG Lovato system

      You need to connect it to a scanner and check exactly what would be the fault. However, if it is not losing power then it is not serious, could be a coil

      @@ikossap847 I mean if it is running with full power now then no need to rush. It might be a combustion misfire due to fuel quality and it might go away.
      If not then consider to connect it to a scanner when power goes down

      Check it, maybe it’s a spark plug. But at the end of prob wasn’t solve, follow the video’s steps mate
