- I wanted you all to meet the newest addition to my family, Micah. He is such a loveable and cute little miniature schnauzer puppy (even with his potty training accidents, lol). He has already learned to sit, stand, lay down, rollover, fetch, and stay, along with a few other commands.
This little fellow has been taking up a lot of my time, but I will definitely post a new saxophone or music video for you all within the next week. I have two mini-schnauzers. GREAT dogs!
+Cariduro76 I didn't use pads. I crate-trained both of my schnauzers and it worked really well. Max, my boy, never has an accident in the house. Meadow, my girl, still has accidents on occasion but that's rare. Like your female, she sometimes tends to want to play outside instead of doing her business and all you can really do is wait. This will get better for your girl once she gets a little older. At 4 months, she's still in full-on puppy mode.
My parents also have a female schnauzer and they crate-trained her as well. She has occasional accidents inside too so I think the girls must just be a bit harder to train.
It's also helpful if when you catch them in the act of going in the house, you immediately scoop them up and take them outside so they get the message that that is where they should go.
In any event, be patient and understanding with your dog - she's doing the best she can to understand.
+Cariduro76 Schnauzers are a very stubborn breed. They definitely have minds of their own but that's part of what's fun about them. Good luck!
my schnauzer is very active . Do you have any tips to make it listen to my instruction ? And it also poo everywhere after potty training.I think it doesn't understand me because it is still 3 months old and i barks soooo cute

I love this! Our first schnauzer, Abercrombie, was pure white like this fellow. We had him for 13 years, 1976 to 1989. We've had 5 schnauzers since then...loved them all. ..great dogs! Mica is a sweet guy.

What a gorgeous white schnauzer. He is so smart. I had a white mini Nilly, she could open doors by turning the knob with her paw while balancing her weight with her other paw, they are brilliant dogs and so sweet. Oh and schnauzers love to play with their beds. Mine would pull her beds out of her carrier and play with them and then bring them to the laundry room when she wanted them clean, seriously she would leave them right by the washer and its pronounced "Schu-now-zer" not "S-now-zer"

I love that white dog and the black puppy. That dog is smart and yo9u can do a lot with your puppy. I have been a schnauzer owner for 2 different ones. You are going to have so much fun with that dog.

They love to play tug with and catch a floppy frisbee! Get one. Amazon roughly $10 for a life time of fun. (It can hold water too when they get thirst)
They love it! Teach them and they will catch it when thrown across the yard. Amazing dogs!

Mica is just adorable and schnauzers are so intelligent. I had a silver haired miniature schnauzer called Alphie. He has gone to heaven now, but of course he will always be in my heart. I'm too old to get another, so in his memory I wrote a children's true story about him titled "Alphie in the Cucumber Patch." Yes that's right he loved cucumbers. you are a very good teacher, I had a snorkie for 17 years.He was sassy and thought he run our house but he was adorable.Lived to be 17.I might have a chance to be given a white miniature Schnauzer that is 2.The lady is 92 and just cant take care of him anymore.I am thrilled to hopefully be able to adopt him.Loved this video!
