I try to go with the grain with my clippers and I just can't get close enough, tried several different blades. Going against the grain gives mine bumps. Can you post a link to those curved scissors you were using? Great job!

I love the style. I have a black and silver mini but I always tell the groomer to cut it short on the snout. I rarely go for the traditional schnauzer cut.

My Schnaurzer Charlie doesn't like me to groom him. I bathe him and he makes groaning sounds. I cut his hair. He shows his teeth. After it's all done he is fine.

Tosa de Schnauzer na máquina? Não é o correto para o tipo de fio da raça. É raça que deve ter a manutenção da pelagem via handstripping. A não realização da remoção manual dos fios faz com que, os fios já antigos e que não caem (sim, não caem por Conta do tipo de pêlo) continuem no folículo piloso com cada vez menor quantidade de suprimento sanguíneo. A remoção do fio faz com que um novo fio cresça e consequentemente há maior irritação sanguínea e consequente fornecimento de nutrição para o fio.

Goodness, that's a really nice job. Way more sensible than some of the show grooming I have seen. I really wish you were local to me, because my wee MS is starting to look like a hairy monster.
Wow. an amazing cut... I personally love the teddy bear look and the skirt rather than the long beards which have a tendency to make them look old and grumpy you have made him look like a puppy again. Wish I could do my schnauzer Dexy's face like you. Can I ask if the scissors make a huge difference as I don't have really good ones?

They make this look so easy, first I want to know what type of clippers those are because the set I have does not cut this smooth. And second, our dogs do not allow us to use the clippers anywhere near there face heck they don't even remain still.

I don't understand why they give schnauzers that cut, because the real cut is another one they use for competitions.
The "real" cut as you put it is not suitable for dogs who live the life of dogs. They would get excessively knotted and the pain and discomfort of removing that daily would make for a miserable dog! Remember its a dog not a display object.

What an amazing job. What advice can you give me?.. I have a 5 month old miniature schnauzer that was not able to get groomed because the groomer said he was too scared. How can I help him over come his fears?
I started by getting my little one use to the shower first. Then the hair dryer and then his first groom. In the UK they do a puppy groom which is just a tidy of their face and feet so they are gently exposed to it. My little one is now 11 months and the groomers say he is the most relaxed schnauzer they've handled.
