Such a great idea, it saves on sanding. I find a Dremel tool, using a polishing felt attachment helps soften sharp edges - rather than sanding. If it's any consolation - I don't think resin work goes 'right' for any of us...but it's how we learn and how we overcome the problems that help to develop us. Your piping skills are amazing - it's not as easy as you make it look! I hope the accommodarion situation is much better for you now. Sending hugs from England x
Gardening Tip....put compost into a flower pot leave 5 inches at top, cut a tomato into slices and lay them on top of compost, cover with 1 inch of compost and water the pot. Keep pot indoors uf icy weather or frost. Then put them out in sun to grow. I had LOADS of seedlings by doing this, i repotted the seedlings when they have two leaves on them. Xxxx
Very pretty, I've never thought of putting them back in the molds like you did very cool. If I have any coasters that don't turn out I paint pour on top of them and then do a clear resin top coat to turn them into coasters. It's a great way to save coasters you dont like😊
I like your chit chat, you carry on girl! Just this afternoon I am trying these, not too sure my paint will turn out the same as these but I am trying a different method and paint! Thanks for the ideas....and the chit chat!
I think I may have worked out why the blue coasters have turned out differently. When you did the blue ones you put the white in the pastry bag first, twisted it up, and set it aside. I think it built heat and started to set up, which is why it didn’t spread like the others. The reason I paid so much attention is I was wondering what would happen if the white set up a little before piping. Hope this helps!
Hi-love this technique. If you let the resin set just a bit before you add the glitter (in the first step) your glitter /stamps / stickers wont shift or float.
I started out with the resin you're using. I had problems with bubbles and also the resin super heating when warmed. I switched to KS resin and it has superior bubble release you barely have to torch it. No 4gwy don't pay me anything. I'm just satisfied with their products. 45 min pot time. I'm using their liquid cast but they have other products. Beautiful coasters!
Thanks so much I've gone for price at this moment lol after I'm finished what I have I'm looking into a different one. Thanks will have to check it out. Thanks for watching 🥰🇨🇦
I am totally in love with your coasters. I am assembling products to try these and other projects. I am from Ontario also and would love to learn any tricks of the trade you have. Totally love your videos. Thankyou.
You are cute as can be! Don't mind your talking at all. We all need to talk or vent a little right now, specially. Your ideas are really cool & very creative & beautiful. Keep up the amazing crafts!💖
They are beautiful!! I have been trying to figure this technique out. I do let it cure and then it was runny.. they i let it cure tooo much and then it was soo hot and it went solid. Will keep trying!!!!!
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching 🥰 I have had some issues as well first try was perfect my black set, the second set I warmed my resin up because it was cold and oh my the bag was soooo hot I could hardly finish I now these ones turned out like a 3D line didn't like , the next time ( pink ones ) turned out amazing till I took the heat gun to the white it was distorted but still nice. Now yes when I put the white in the bag and cut the tip it's really runny at first . Such a trial and error 😜 wish the resin was not so expensive hahahah ..... hope this helps 🥰🇨🇦
Wow I'm really impressed! I was thinking something like that could also be glued on a mixed media painting for the living room 😍 subs cause I love this! 💖
Ps, If you use a shallow mould and fill it as close to the top, it shouldn't have a lip on it. Or, you could just put a thin top coat on your coasters - use the lip as your guide - fill it to the lip x
@@SherryMoulton It does help, the only problem is if you buy a deep mould... Sometimes they can be over 1cm deep - which can be a bit too thick to fill all the way to the top..x
Hello Sherry...I'm new to your channel...I enjoy watching and learning how you made these coasters. They are so different and unique. I have the same mold and I'm not sure if I'm adding enough epoxy in. On the first step...how much epoxy do I need to fill up my mold? Thank you 😊
Thanks so much and thanks for watching. Now I never fully fill these molds I put 1oz in the first part withe the white mixture. Then I put 1oz with the glitter. So all together there is 2oz . I thinking you will it completely it would be too much . Hope this was helpful thanks 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching 🥰 You need to press down and twist but as you seen in the video some did come up the side not much and I seen it so I was able to wipe most of it away. That's why I do the clear on top so i can see the bottom when I'm placing it in . Thanks again hope this was helpful 🥰🇨🇦

I'm sorry to here that now I've cut mine i.foumd the corners are to heavy you could trim them leaving a good inch all the way around the circle. Hppe this was helpful 🥰🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Love this method! Just a quick question, when you're putting the set part on top do you wait a little bit to let the resin set for a bit so the top doesn't sink??

I’ve got my first flower part done, next to try these bottoms. Thanks for sharing. I looked for the envirotex on Michaels and it says pour-on high gloss finish on the box. And that’s all they had. It looks more like a varnish. Is that what you use?
Thanks for watching 🥰 Well I dont really do this at the trailer. I'm afraid I would have to really scale down my stuff hahaha .... I could do the painting but not sure about the resin.... 🥰🇨🇦
I have had no luck with the white, it goes to the bottom and does not give me the nice 3D effect I’ve seen on yours. I’m not sure if I need to let the resin get thicker or thinner. If I need to make the white thicker or thinner. All I know is I’m out of resin and Hobby Lobby is closed due to the Coronavirus. Booooo :(
I'm sooo sorry I've had a few issues with the white I found when my resin was starting to cure in the bag was hot the end product was not so good looked like just lines. Loved the coasters... do u usually fill up all the way or do u leave room in the mould ?

Beautiful...New sub and I bought 2 of the molds as well!
Have you ever left the first part of coasters in mold and then poured the glittery second part on top instead of popping out the first part?
No but I will be trying it thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
I love her method- it gives you a finished edge on both sides! If you just pour on top you’ll get a sharp edge on the bottom.
Was just a question. Thank you both for your comments ❤️
