As an african american woman, I love this show! Its very insighful and shows a true light of Africa instead of the stereotypes that are constantly displayed here in the States! Loyal Fan!
Not of Africa mind you. Just the country of Ghana from a few young girls who have lived out of country for a long time. But as a show they are going in the right direction. I agree it's a breath...
bajanqt123 imbrace there natural hair but do they take vitamins for quality and condition because of the hot weather drys out the hair natural vitamins
I have to say I am very impressed with this web series. As a South African/ American who visits home often and will soon move back home, it's great to see myself being represented in a positive light.
I'm liking this show. The quality of the video is great. I'm really liking the characters. I'm trying to find more of African entertainment, so this is a start.
The Hair! THE HAIR!!!! I don't care if the acting and the script could use some significant work... look at them. I can't take my eyes off the screen. They are all goddesses in their own right.
Loving the message behind this episode. Its nice for men to do things for us women but ladies there has to be a limit and we have to do things for ourselves. In the end its all worth it. So proud of you Maame! Love you!!
Really great show! I like how its proudly introduces aspects of Ghana's middle class, something hard to get somewhere else. Looking forward to the next episodes ^^
I think the acting is fine. I am enjoying it. The reason why some people think the acting is crap is the because of the constant comparison to Sex and the City. Maybe they shouldn't have blatantly copied the sex and the city theme , now they are subject to constant comparisons. My only criticism is that their dinner/eating chit chat drags on a bit to long. Other than that this is the type of hows I need in my life. Well done ladies.
SO glad I found this show; it's absolutely amazing! Watching all the way from Okinawa, Japan, and I can't wait to watch more episodes! #AfricanAmericanAcrossTheWorld
This is an amazing web series, so glad I found it. As a black american I don't always understand some of the references but that makes me want to watch it even more.
That Samantha chick umphf with the deeper voice...she's hot af, damn... you're gorgeous and carefree...LOVE it! Love these independent Ghanaian African women!!
This show is kind of refreshing, but you never know the real Ghana until you're there. I'm going back this summer for 5 weeks & I last visited when I was 3 in 97'. My parents raised me with basic Ghanaian culture-- "All you have Education!!", church, endless cousins, CHURCH, from waatse& plantains to kenke & goat soup--- but I worry sometimes that I might offend some basic customs (i'm Canadian born). Really hope to connect with my grandma & culture with an open heart. Anyone else in a similar boat?Any recommendations for making my visit as meaningful/ entertaining as possible?
I discovered this website just browsing the internet and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I watch season 1 and it is refreshing to see Africa in a different light. Not the way Western society has shown it; orphans with inflated bellies and mosquitoes. Thank you for showing the development of Africa. And the fashion! I live for the clothing, amazing!
I LOVE THIS SERIES... I FIND MYSELF SMILING ALOT IT DEALS WITH REAL ISSUES OF LIFE AND THE WOMEN ARE REALLY GOOD IN THEIR WAYS LOVE IT ...KEEP IT UP.....
I really enjoyed this episode. I saw this series in my recommended watch list and happened to click on it. I'm hooked. As an African American woman in the USA, I'm enjoying this series about African women going back home AND all of the women are GORGEOUS with beautiful clothes. Yessssssssssss!!!! :)
They are so pretty. Each has their own little style and qualities. The casting did really good with picking these ladies. I just love the fashion. It's hard to choose a favorite. . This really inspires me to visit Africa. I'm just afraid that I would be an outcast. .
Don't let that deter you from visiting, of course as an American, you might stand out, but it seems they share many of the same issues we do here, so I don't think you'd really be an outcast as long as you presented yourself well.
Ahhh!!! Her face is priceless when the guy said just put down half. This is exactly why I don't step out in Africa without my own cash. Even though I only go Dutch with my siblings in the state, these situations does happen on dates too. Love this show
I am so loving the show, and more importantly, the strong message you are putting out there to our African brother's and sister's. Great dialogue, nice flow. Keep up the great work.
I am a BIG BIG fan! I love this show. Gimme some mo! The acting, the editing, the cinematography, the directing and the momentum of this piece tantalizes my taste buds for more. The women in this piece are beautiful, mesmerizing, intellectually and seductively strong, which coins the phrase, Neo Real Women. Where's EPISODE 3?

I can't help but admire how they embrace thier natural hair

I'm Ghanian and I'm proud of my fabulous country this show is just amazing

I have to say I am very impressed with this web series. As a South African/ American who visits home often and will soon move back home, it's great to see myself being represented in a positive light.
And that's what we need more of - beautiful, intelligent, diverse depictions of blacks in America, Africa, everywhere.

Nana Yaa: But that is more than I pay for rent in NY!
Realtor: But this is not NY
love this show
Nana Yaa's hair is gorgeous! I'm loving this.
I'm liking this show. The quality of the video is great. I'm really liking the characters. I'm trying to find more of African entertainment, so this is a start.
This is a very interesting show. An African-American female I was glad to see that women in Africa face some of the same issues I do.
we are all one, we are not alone, going through very same issues, we can only heal if we pull together and help each other.
"My real sugar daddy" LOL! Sade kills me!!!
Love this show! Love the message: Sex is not a woman's only asset.
The Hair! THE HAIR!!!! I don't care if the acting and the script could use some significant work... look at them. I can't take my eyes off the screen. They are all goddesses in their own right.
Omg I love this episode! SO many messages packed in 14 minutes! Cant wait to watch the next episode
Loving the message behind this episode. Its nice for men to do things for us women but ladies there has to be a limit and we have to do things for ourselves. In the end its all worth it. So proud of you Maame! Love you!!

OMG, this song is STUCK in my head!! :D Fun show!
I love that the girls aren't wearing those irritating weaves. Natural beauties.
+Playlist many black girls don't.
+Zena Girl ☆ In Namibia most black people wear weaves and are shocked I havr an afro.
Playlist that sucks, but just cause some don't in a area doesn't mean other black girls don't as well. I wear my natural hair too. :)
In so drawn into the show and their natural beauty
+Marcus Martin my boyfriend loves my hair too. Afros are rare though.
love the hair the fashion the makeup and overall beauty of the ladies! Go AFRICA!!

I'm going to have to borrow that one: "She's not a prostitute. [She's] a woman with a strategic agenda."
